Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 129: Chapter 106: Broke Through Level Twenty

Seeing Zhao Rong’s daydreaming expression, Tao Hua immediately guessed that his mind was wandering again. She quickly replied, ”The so-called nourishment of Yin and replenishment of Yang refers to the intertwining of consciousness between a man and a woman and the mutual exchange of True Qi. You mustn’t misunderstand.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong replied in disappointment, ”So that’s how it is, huh? I thought it was like in those martial arts novels, where a man and a woman have to... do it.”

Tao Hua glared at him and warned, ”Zhao Rong, we’re about to begin our secluded cultivation. You need to hurry up and purge those selfish, distracting thoughts from your heart and attain a single-minded focus. Be careful of cultivation deviation.”

With that, she led the way into the cave. Zhao Rong followed behind her, thinking helplessly, This is just who I am. It’s not like my personality can change overnight.

Soon, they reached the deepest part of the Cultivation Cave. Tao Hua pointed to several chambers carved into the cave wall and said, ”The one in the middle is our bedroom. The room on the left is our dining room. As for the room on the right... you’d best not go in there.”

Hearing that he was not allowed to enter the room on the right, Zhao Rong asked in confusion, ”Why can’t I go in?”

Seeing his curious expression, Tao Hua didn’t hide the truth. ”Didn’t I tell you before? Sometimes, couples come to the Cultivation Cave for their seclusion. That room on the right is specifically for storing certain bedroom essentials for them.”

At the mention of bedroom essentials, Zhao Rong’s interest was immediately piqued.

Once everything was settled, the cultivation began, with Tao Hua guiding Zhao Rong. The first day was incredibly arduous. To strengthen his body, Zhao Rong followed Tao Hua’s lead and soaked in ice-cold water for a full twelve hours. During that time, they not only had to sit and meditate but also strike the icy water to practice their palm and fist strength. Moreover, they could not eat until the day’s training was over. It was truly a torment for both body and spirit.

At ten o’clock that night, the training finally ended. After a full day with Tao Hua, Zhao Rong was on the verge of collapse. He weakly followed her into the chamber on the left, the so-called dining room. He was cold and starving, desperate for a bowl of hot food. However, when Tao Hua retrieved ice-cold steamed buns from the dining room’s cellar, Zhao Rong couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath.

I’ve been training in ice water all day, and now I have to eat a cold steamed bun? I wonder if my stomach can handle it.

But despite his reluctance, hunger compelled him to devour more than a dozen of the cold buns. Eating the buns and drinking ice water, Zhao Rong finally had a true, profound taste of the hardships of secluded cultivation.

After their meal, Tao Hua led Zhao Rong to the central chamber: the bedroom. The so-called bedroom contained only a single, cold stone bed and nothing else.

Zhao Rong looked at the spartan chamber and thought, This is brutal. Just a bare stone slab, with no mattress or blanket. How am I supposed to sleep in a place this cold?

As Zhao Rong hesitated, Tao Hua had already taken off her shoes and lain down on the stone bed. He watched her for a moment, then glanced around. He realized this was the only place in the cave suitable for sleeping; everywhere else was either dripping with water or too uneven.

Looking at Tao Hua, whose eyes were now closed, he asked, ”Tao Hua, am I sleeping on this bed, too?”

Clearly, Tao Hua was also exhausted from the day’s training. She opened her eyes, pointed at the stone bed, and said, ”If you don’t sleep here, where are you going to sleep?”

Hearing that he would be sleeping next to Tao Hua, Zhao Rong immediately took off his shoes and lay down beside her. But as soon as he was settled, Tao Hua pulled a piece of chalk from her pocket, drew a line down the middle of the stone bed between them, and said, ”Zhao Rong, behave yourself tonight. If you dare cross this line, you’re a beast.”

Zhao Rong was taken aback. He didn’t understand what she meant. Did she want him to cross the line or not?

As he lay next to her, he rolled onto his side and thought, Women often say the opposite of what they mean. Could Tao Hua be implying that if I *don’t* cross this chalk line tonight, I’d be worse than a beast?

With that thought, he immediately wrapped his arms around Tao Hua from behind. Just as Zhao Rong, now holding her, was anxiously wondering whether to continue or let go, Tao Hua suddenly spoke in a soft voice, ”Zhao Rong, let’s just stop for today. We’ve both been training all day, and we’re just too tired. Tomorrow, okay?”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong felt a spark of hope for a night of passion. Is my virginity going to be given to Tao Hua during this seclusion? But if I give my first time to her, what will happen if Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian find out? Will they kill me?

But then again, he thought, I’m a man, not a woman. Even if it’s my first time, as long as I don’t say anything and Tao Hua keeps quiet, who’s going to know?

At this, Zhao Rong couldn’t help but stifle a chuckle.

Time passed quickly. The night was cold, and with nothing to cover themselves, they made it through romantically, snuggling and embracing each other for warmth.

The next morning, Zhao Rong was woken early by the urgent need to urinate. As he unwrapped his arms from around Tao Hua, he thought, Damn, I’ve been jacking off way too much. My prostate is shot. Not only do I have to get up multiple times a night, but now I’m being woken up this early by a full bladder.

So, Zhao Rong went outside to relieve himself. After he finished, he couldn’t help but recall what Tao Hua had said last night: ”I’m too tired today... tomorrow, okay?”

A knowing smile spread across Zhao Rong’s face. No matter what, tonight I’m going to summon all my strength and go for it eight times!

But a sudden thought stopped him. What if Tao Hua accidentally gets pregnant? We’re both still young and trying to make our way in the world. A child would be a burden, wouldn’t it?

His gaze shifted to the chamber on the right. He remembered Tao Hua telling him that the room was used to store bedroom essentials for cultivating couples.

If there are contraceptives in there, why not go check it out?

So, while Tao Hua was still asleep, he crept over to the chamber on the right. Before entering, he thought, Since this room is for storing bedroom essentials, it must be full of condoms, birth control pills, lube, massagers... the works.

But when he went inside, he found no condoms, no birth control pills, no lube, and no massagers. There wasn’t even a single roll of toilet paper.

Zhao Rong was baffled. Didn’t Tao Hua say this place was stocked with items for couples? Why is there nothing here?

As he stood there, bewildered, he suddenly saw two dark figures flash past behind him.

Startled, his mind raced. This is bad! Someone must have secretly followed Tao Hua and me into the Cultivation Cave! And what’s more, those two in black might have stolen all the bedroom essentials. After all, besides the cultivation opportunities, that stash of supplies was the most valuable thing in this cave.

With a powerful leap, Zhao Rong shot after them. This was because, two nights ago while bathing in the large wooden tub, he had unintentionally absorbed an incredibly potent liquid Elixir. He had successfully broken through to Level Twenty. As a result, he was not just fast, but he could also jump great distances with amazing agility.

In a matter of moments, he caught up to the two figures in black. He sent the taller one to the ground with a single kick, then slapped the shorter one so hard he spun in place.

But when Zhao Rong ripped the masks off their faces, he was utterly stunned. He never would have expected that the two people who had followed him into the Cultivation Cave were these two...
