Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 145: Chapter 119: The Chance to Go on a Blind Date and Meet a Beautiful Woman...

Seeing Qin Long charge from Yang Shao’s left, Zhao Rong couldn’t be bothered to use his Special Abilities. He simply grabbed a nearby ashtray and hurled it at the man.

THWACK! The heavy glass, thrown with all of Zhao Rong’s might, struck Qin Long squarely in the mouth, knocking out eight of his teeth. Before he could even get close, the knife-wielding thug was sent sprawling to the ground, scrambling for his lost teeth.

Seeing Qin Long taken down by a single ashtray, Baihu, to Yang Shao’s right, roared, ”Zhao Rong, is that all you’ve got? What else can you do besides throw ashtrays? Take this!”

As Baihu charged, aiming a lethal strike at Zhao Rong’s heart, Zhao Rong instantly teleported. He vanished and reappeared behind Baihu, a brick he’d snatched from the ground now in his hand. He smacked it firmly against the back of Baihu’s head. ”Bro, you’re right,” Zhao Rong said calmly. ”Besides throwing ashtrays, I’m also pretty good at smacking people with bricks.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a puff of dust rose from Baihu’s head. His eyes rolled back, and he collapsed, out cold.

Seeing Zhao Rong dispatch Qin Long and Baihu in the blink of an eye, Lao Niu, who stood in the middle, lost his composure. He fumbled in his large bag, pulled out a steel helmet, and slapped it on his head.

So, all you can do is smack people with ashtrays and bricks, huh? Now that I, Lao Niu, am wearing a helmet, let’s see what you can do to me!

With a yell, Lao Niu brandished his machete and charged.

Zhao Rong found the sight of a man in a steel helmet absolutely hilarious. He used his Special Abilities again, instantly teleporting to the construction site near the security office and returning with a large sledgehammer.

Facing the helmeted Lao Niu, Zhao Rong hefted the sledgehammer and roared, ”Eighty!” In an instant, the sledgehammer crashed down on the steel helmet. While the helmet might have deflected an ashtray or a brick, it was no match for the sledgehammer. Before Lao Niu could even react, the concussive force of the blow knocked him unconscious.

Zhao Rong looked down at the fallen thug and chuckled. ”Who said a helmet would save you?”

Seeing his three lackeys knocked out in an instant, each with a different weapon, Yang Shao couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath. ”Damn, Fei Shao was right. This little security guard really is a magician. The variety of weapons he pulls out is just amazing...”

I’m not a magician, I just have Special Abilities, that’s all, Zhao Rong snorted inwardly.

He looked at the last man standing and jutted his chin toward him. ”Yang Shao, it’s your turn. Are you planning to wear a helmet, or are you considering a bulletproof vest?” With that, Zhao Rong took a step forward.

Seeing the sledgehammer in Zhao Rong’s hand, Yang Shao’s legs began to tremble. He backed away toward the security office door. ”A gentleman uses words, not fists! A wise man knows when he’s beat! Zhao Rong, you win! We’ll fight another day...”

Saying this, Yang Shao discarded the knife hidden in his sleeve and fled for his life. Zhao Rong didn’t chase him. He just called out, ”Yang Shao, take a message to your so-called ’Four Great Bullies’ and those ’Four Wicked Girls’! I, Zhao Rong, specialize in putting arrogant punks in their place. If any of you have a problem with that, just bring it on. I’ll be waiting!”

The surrounding crowd, having witnessed a seemingly weak security guard take down four armed thugs, erupted in a chorus of amazement.

”Wow, that guy is so cool! He’s totally my type,” said a girl who loved sweets so much she had developed diabetes but ate them anyway. ”I have to find a way to give myself to him before I graduate...”

”Little security guard, you’re incredible,” said a boy who drank so many soft drinks he had high uric acid, giving Zhao Rong a thumbs-up while sipping a Coke. ”I’ve seen tough security guards before, but never one like you. You’re a breath of fresh air in the security world.”

”Officer, do you take apprentices?” asked another guy, who was picking at his athlete’s foot, a condition he got from wearing sneakers in the sweltering summer heat. ”I want to be your disciple...”

Listening to the praise from his fellow students, Zhao Rong thanked them. ”From now on, when you see those so-called ’Four Great Bullies’ and ’Four Wicked Girls,’ don’t be afraid. You have to believe that good will always triumph over evil. All these thugs will be driven out of our school one day!”

His inspiring words were met with a burst of thunderous applause.

Hidden in the crowd, Fei Shao had been secretly observing the situation. When he saw Zhao Rong send Yang Shao packing, he felt a wave of relief.

Good thing I didn’t help Yang Shao attack that little security guard, Zhao Rong. Otherwise, I’d definitely be one of the ones lying on the security office floor right now.

At the same time, Fei Shao quietly called for an ambulance. A short while later, when it arrived, he silently helped get Yang Shao’s three unconscious henchmen on board. Watching the ambulance drive away, Fei Shao sighed. As one of Xijing University’s Four Great Bullies, he’d been in countless fights, but this was the first time he’d ever personally sent so many of his own men to the hospital in a single day.

Back in the security office, the respect for Zhao Rong had reached a new level. Before, the others had been fetching him tea and water. Now, they were offering to do his laundry and take off his shoes, keeping him supplied with food and drinks. The security team captain felt that an officer as outstanding as Zhao Rong was a rare find, not just at the university, but in all of Xijing City. Inevitably, the captain’s thoughts turned to his cousin.

He looked at Zhao Rong and said, ”Bro, I want to ask you a question. You have to answer me honestly.”

Zhao Rong, munching on a chicken leg and sipping a beer, replied, ”Ask away, bro. I’ll give you a straight answer.”

Watching Zhao Rong’s straightforward manner, the security captain felt he was a sincere and reliable person. ”Little bro, do you have a girlfriend right now?”

The question startled Zhao Rong. He looked at the captain and said, ”Not only do I not have a girlfriend, I’m still a... virgin.”

Hearing that the young hero before him was not only single but also a virgin, the captain felt like he’d struck gold. He said excitedly, ”Little bro, I have a cousin! She’s eighteen, pretty as a picture, gentle but outgoing, with a great body and she’s tall, too. I was wondering if you’d be interested in meeting her?”

Hearing such a glowing description, Zhao Rong’s interest was piqued. But then he looked at the security captain, with his sharp-featured, strange-looking face, and found it hard to imagine his cousin being that attractive.

Seeing Zhao Rong hesitate, the captain pressed on. An excellent man like Zhao Rong can’t get away. I have to introduce him to my cousin.

”Zhao Rong, don’t worry,” the captain said. ”Since you’re a... virgin, the cousin I’m introducing you to is definitely a... virgin, too.”

The fact that his cousin was not only beautiful and young but also a virgin was enough to sway Zhao Rong. ”Alright, then. When I have some time, I’ll go meet your cousin.”

After he spoke, Zhao Rong glanced at the captain’s dowdy clothes and uncultured air, a man who clearly came from some remote mountain village. His cousin is probably from some remote mountain village too, right?

But before Zhao Rong could finish his thought, the captain said, ”If you want to meet her, I can call her right now. We can meet in the school cafeteria.”

Zhao Rong was taken aback. ”Your cousin cleans the floors in our school’s cafeteria?”

The security captain smiled happily. ”No.”

”Then is she a kitchen helper?” Zhao Rong asked, still assuming there was no way the captain’s cousin was a student at the best university in Xijing City.

But the security captain simply pointed toward Xijing University’s finest building, home to its top department. ”My cousin studies in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. And she’s in the combined bachelor’s-master’s-doctoral program.”

Staring at the country bumpkin of a security captain, Zhao Rong was utterly floored. The captain’s cousin was studying in the best department at the best university in the city, and in a continuous degree program at that. The shock was so great that he stumbled and almost fell over.

”Bro, I’m sorry,” he stammered. ”Poverty has limited my imagination. Looking at you, I just couldn’t picture you having such an impressive cousin.”

Seeing that Zhao Rong was interested, the captain immediately pulled out his phone. ”Zhao Rong, my cousin’s name is Wang Meili. She just enrolled at Xijing University this year, so she’s a freshman. She doesn’t just love to study; she’s also an amazing dancer. She’s incredibly flexible and can do all sorts of challenging moves.”

Hearing that the captain’s cousin could dance and was exceptionally flexible, Zhao Rong couldn’t help but let his mind wander to a few challenging positions: Old Man Pushing a Cart... Mid-Air Refueling... Spinning Top... Guanyin Sits on the Lotus...

Suddenly, Zhao Rong felt that the name Wang Meili sounded familiar, as if he’d heard it somewhere before, but he couldn’t quite place it.

The security captain finished his call, having arranged everything. ”Zhao Rong, let’s go. I’ve already spoken to my cousin, Wang Meili. We’ll meet her in Area A of the cafeteria.”

The thought of going on a blind date right now made Zhao Rong anxious. I hope my luck holds out. Please don’t let me run into the three beauties who have a crush on me: Miss Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian. If they see me, they’ll make my life hell. If I were a student, I’d be followed around by those three every single day. I wouldn’t be able to go anywhere, let alone have a chance to meet other girls on a blind date like this... he thought, snickering to himself.

And as Zhao Rong was secretly chuckling, hoping he wouldn’t encounter the three women he was supposed to be protecting in Area A, Miss Lili was leading Yu Lan and Xuelian toward the very same cafeteria to try a small stall that sold saozi noodles.

That noodle stall just so happened to be located in Area A.
