Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 118: Chapter 98: Not Being a Sect Leader, Look for Foreign Girls

After settling in the three beauties and his drunken assistant, Zhao Rong hurriedly rushed to the room of the Sect Leader, Mage Yi Zhen. He jogged the entire way, extremely worried about Mage Yi Zhen’s safety. For Mage Yi Zhen to suddenly want to pass on his position, he must be seriously injured or have met with some misfortune, Zhao Rong thought. Otherwise, the Sect Leader is in the prime of his life. How could he so hastily pass the position on to me?

Remembering how Mage Yi Zhen had always treated him like a son, Zhao Rong’s heart ached. The thought that his mentor might have met with a terrible fate, possibly even death, brought a wave of sorrow over him. By the time he reached the door to Mage Yi Zhen’s room, he couldn’t control his emotions and entered with tears welling in his eyes.

As soon as he stepped inside, he saw Tao Hua sitting on a stool by the door, her face etched with worry. Seeing her expression, he came to a grim conclusion. This is it. Mage Yi Zhen must be on his last legs.

With tears streaming down his face, Zhao Rong took a step forward, looked at Tao Hua sorrowfully, and said, ”Tao Hua, everyone must die. ’A death may be weightier than Mount Tai or lighter than a feather.’ Since your father, Mage Yi Zhen, has passed away, you must accept reality and try not to grieve too much.”

He thought his words of comfort would surely make her feel a little better. However, upon hearing him, Tao Hua immediately snapped back, ”You’re the one whose father is dead! My father is perfectly fine!”

Zhao Rong was stunned. He stared at Tao Hua in surprise and asked, ”If your father, Mage Yi Zhen, isn’t dead, then why does he suddenly want to pass his position on to me?”

Tao Hua replied awkwardly, ”My father met a foreign woman online. He’s preparing to go abroad to marry her.”

Hearing that Mage Yi Zhen, despite his age, was still so young at heart that he had found a foreign woman online, Zhao Rong was incredulous. ”Tao Hua, your father... oh, I mean, Mage Yi Zhen... he has to be at least fifty, right? With that old body of his, can he even handle a whole night with a foreign woman?”

Tao Hua couldn’t help but find it both funny and exasperating that her father had met a Ukrainian beauty online. She explained, ”Zhao Rong, you don’t know the whole story. My mother died during childbirth. My father, Mage Yi Zhen, raised me all by himself, through thick and thin.

”For my sake, he chose not to remarry. He raised me, taught me Martial Arts, and helped me cultivate.

”Now, he feels I can live independently, make my own way, and even fight for myself. So, he thinks it’s finally time to end his life as a bachelor.”

Listening to Tao Hua’s story, Zhao Rong could understand Mage Yi Zhen’s feelings. After all, it’s not good for a man to be without a wife. Still, even if Mage Yi Zhen was eager to get married, shouldn’t he find a woman his own age? Someone he could actually talk to?

So, Zhao Rong offered his advice. ”Tao Hua, no offense, but I think your father... oh, no... the Sect Leader, should find a woman from around here to marry. Preferably someone in Xijing City whose background you know well. That way, they can at least eat together, talk together, and sleep together. If he marries a Ukrainian woman, how will they communicate? What about food? Or... sleeping?”

Just as Zhao Rong was trying to convince Tao Hua to get her father to give up on the foreign woman, Sect Leader Yi Zhen finished a video call with his future bride and emerged from the inner room. He pulled a portable iFLYTEK translator out of his pocket and declared, ”Who says you can’t win over a foreign woman without speaking Russian? With this translator in my hand, communication is no problem at all!”

Seeing that the Sect Leader had even prepared a translator, Zhao Rong took a sharp breath. ”Sect Leader, even if you use a translator to communicate with the Ukrainian girl without any issues... what about meals? You eat Chinese food, and she eats Western food. How will that work?”

At that, Mage Yi Zhen chuckled, pulling a cookbook from his pocket. ”When Christina and I get married, she can eat her Western food, and I’ll eat my Chinese food. We won’t get in each other’s way.”

Seeing how determined the Sect Leader was to marry the foreign woman, Zhao Rong brought up his biggest and final concern. He asked awkwardly, ”Sect Leader, you know how... vigorous... foreign women can be. And you’re fifty this year, aren’t you? Do you think... for a whole night... you can... satisfy her?”

This question is sure to stump the Sect Leader, Zhao Rong thought. After all, age spares no one.

But to Zhao Rong’s astonishment, the Sect Leader produced a box of imported Viagra. He roared with laughter and said, ”This old man’s body might not be what it used to be, but I have medicine! With a little help, I refuse to believe I can’t make her beg for mercy!”

Seeing the Sect Leader’s confidence, Zhao Rong could only grit his teeth and stare. ’Birds die for food, and men die for wealth.’ But it looks like the Sect Leader is going to die for a foreign woman. Once he goes to Ukraine, he’s not coming back alive.

Realizing this, Zhao Rong looked at Sect Leader Yi Zhen and said, ”Sect Leader, since your mind is made up, you should go without any worries. Once you get there, just... enjoy riding your tall, foreign steed.”

Sect Leader Yi Zhen nodded. ”That’s precisely why I called you here. I want to betroth my daughter to you.”
