Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 116: Chapter 96: It Turns Out to Be a Korean Beauty

Seeing the women arguing over him, Zhao Rong took a sharp breath. Although I killed the giant magical beast and saved three beautiful women, in doing so, I’ve also revealed my true movements for the day.

Zhao Rong first looked at Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian. ”She’s a female friend of mine,” he said.

Then, he turned to the proprietress of Red Romance and explained, ”These three girls are my clients. I’m a bodyguard, and I’m responsible for protecting them.”

Hearing such an explanation, the girls immediately became indignant.

The proprietress of Red Romance looked at the three young women and said, ”I’m not just a female friend of Zhao Rong’s. We’re also confidantes.”

The three girls angrily retorted, ”And we’re not just his clients! We’re his potential girlfriends and fiancées!”

As the women argued, the unconscious assistant suddenly woke with a start. He stared dazedly at the women arguing over Zhao Rong, then burst into laughter. So, your secret’s out, Zhao Rong! I knew it; you can’t hide the truth forever. Just you wait for Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian to chew you out and then dump you... Once they dump you, I can take your place! Thinking this, the assistant couldn’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation.

Meanwhile, Zhao Rong was also thinking, This is it. I’m completely done for. My secret is out in front of all of them. It seems my glorious image and sterling character are about to be trampled underfoot by these beauties.

But just as the assistant was sure the women would dump Zhao Rong and choose him, and just as Zhao Rong thought they would look down on him, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian suddenly changed their tune.

They took a closer look at the proprietress of Red Romance and decided she looked a bit old. Brother Zhao Rong probably isn’t interested in her. Besides, if the proprietress hadn’t come looking for Zhao Rong, and if they hadn’t all come to the Maple Leaf Bar for drinks, who knows if he would have found us? He wouldn’t have been able to save us!

So, Lili suddenly smiled and said to Zhao Rong, ”Brother Zhao Rong, even though you spent the day with this woman behind our backs, you were just preparing, right? You were planning to infiltrate the Maple Leaf Bar to rescue the three of us!”

Yu Lan, who had been frowning moments before, was now all smiles. ”Brother Zhao Rong, for a great hero like you, only mingling with us girls of eighteen or nineteen would surely limit your social circle. Occasionally interacting with a mature woman over thirty must be very helpful for your work as a bodyguard.”

Xuelian was even more supportive. ”Brother Zhao Rong, I know why you went out with this woman behind our backs. It’s because you want to protect us better in the future! You’re planning ahead, practicing how to protect thirty-year-old women now, so that when we turn thirty, you’ll be an expert at protecting us.”

Seeing the three girls’ change in attitude, the thirty-something proprietress of Red Romance also did a complete one-eighty. She looked at the three beauties, then back at Zhao Rong, and said with a gentle smile, ”It’s only natural for a man, especially an outstanding one like Zhao Rong, to be followed by several beautiful women. So, Zhao Rong, you’re doing the right thing. You should get to know even more beauties in the future. That’s the only way to truly show off your heroic spirit.”

Hearing that the beauties not only didn’t blame him but also weren’t abandoning him, the assistant was so angry he spat out a mouthful of blood. As he coughed up more blood, he thought, Are you kidding me? Even after all this, these women still understand him, tolerate him, and accept him? I must be well and truly drunk, not just faking it... As he thought this, the alcohol and the One-Smile-Three-Stumbles drug continued to rage through his system, and he instantly passed out again.

When Zhao Rong heard the girls’ words of affirmation, he was too stunned to react at first. He swallowed hard, forced a smile onto his face, and looked at the beautiful women before him. ”To you... to me... to all of us... may we all be well! A friend from afar makes the whole world feel like home... We must drink from big bowls and eat great cuts of meat to truly live life to the fullest!”

With that, Zhao Rong raised a bowl of wine and drank it down with the beauties and the others around them. After finishing the drink, he remembered the ”bowl smashing” videos from Xi’an that he’d seen on TikTok. He slammed the empty bowl onto the floor. ”Come on! Drink the wine, smash the bowl! Let’s party all night!”

At his words, the women looked at Zhao Rong, their hearts pounding. Wow, Brother Zhao Rong is so manly! The way he talks, the way he drinks, even the way he smashes a bowl... he’s so charming he makes women swoon...

And so, everyone began to revel in the bar.

At two in the morning, exhausted from all the fun, they finally left the Maple Leaf Bar. Noticing the three girls behind him weren’t paying attention, Zhao Rong quickly ushered the proprietress of Red Romance into a taxi. ”Sorry, this is as far as I can take you tonight...”

After she got into the taxi, she looked at him with a tender, watery gaze. ”You know, tonight we could have gone to the hotel across the street to... well, you know. It’s just that your female fans showed up and spoiled our plans, otherwise...”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong glanced back at Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian, who were now walking over. Proprietress, please, just say less and go quickly. If all of you women get together again, another war is going to break out.

Just as he was desperately hoping she would leave, the proprietress of Red Romance suddenly grabbed his hand and stroked it gently. ”I’ll come see you again when I’m free. This time, we had our drinks, but something unexpected came up, so we couldn’t finish our business. Next time, we definitely will.”

Hearing that she planned to come again, Zhao Rong thought frantically, My dear lady, I’m begging you, please don’t come back. It will cause too much unnecessary trouble...

Just then, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian walked up behind him. When Zhao Rong saw the four women together again, he panicked. I just barely managed to resolve the conflict between them during the party! How are they all running into each other again?

He couldn’t help but sigh. Why must women make things so difficult for one another?

Just as Zhao Rong braced himself for the four of them to start bickering, Lili walked over to the taxi, looked at the proprietress with reluctance, and said, ”Big Sister, you’re leaving already? Why not stay and hang out a little longer?”

”We have an empty bed in our dorm,” Yu Lan added. ”You should just stay with us tonight.”

Xuelian even took out her phone to add the proprietress’s contact info. ”Big Sister, we’ve only just met. We don’t even know your name yet.”

The proprietress of Red Romance, while adding their WeChat contacts, replied, ”My name is Cai Yan. I’m Korean.”

Hearing that the proprietress was Korean, Zhao Rong was stunned. He was surprised not only that she was a Korean beauty instead of a Chinese one but also that the four women weren’t fighting. Instead, it was like a meeting of heroes; they were all being incredibly friendly with one another.

When Lili heard she was Korean, she said in surprise, ”I knew it! Those high cheekbones and that round face... you’re a Korean beauty!”

Yu Lan also chimed in, amazed. ”Big Sister, no wonder your accent sounded a little strange when you spoke Chinese. At first, I thought you were just putting on airs, but you’re actually a foreigner!”

Xuelian looked at Cai Yan with envy. ”Wow, it’s so cool to meet a Korean beauty! You have to take me to Korea someday to get my nose done.”

Hearing this, Cai Yan laughed. ”If you want plastic surgery, you’ve found the right person. You see, I had my double eyelids surgically created. My nose has fillers. This oval face was achieved through bone shaving. Even my breasts... they have silicone implants.”

Realizing that Cai Yan was an artificial beauty, Zhao Rong felt a wave of relief that Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian had shown up when they did. Otherwise, after we finished drinking and went to a hotel room... what if I had accidentally knocked her nose out of place or... burst her implants? Wouldn’t that have scared me to death?

At the same time, Zhao Rong suddenly understood why such a beautiful woman might be divorced. Her husband probably left her because of all the cosmetic surgery. He was likely afraid to be too forceful during their ’nightly exercise.’

As Zhao Rong was congratulating himself on his narrow escape, Cai Yan, ready to leave in the taxi, shot him a seductive glance. ”Check the message I sent you on WeChat.”

With that, the taxi carrying the proprietress of Red Romance drove off toward her home.

Seeing her finally leave, Zhao Rong let out a long sigh of relief. Compared to those surgically-enhanced Korean beauties, our natural Chinese women are so much better. At least during ’nightly exercise,’ I wouldn’t have to worry that being too forceful might cause an accident.

Just as Zhao Rong was lost in his fantasy, Lili suddenly remembered something. ”Oh no!” she said anxiously. ”We were so busy partying that we completely forgot about the assistant!”

Yu Lan also remembered, her voice tight with panic. ”Oh no! He drank the wine that the bearded man drugged!”

”We have to go back and save him, quickly!” Xuelian said with concern.

With that, Zhao Rong and the three beauties rushed back into the Maple Leaf Bar to find the assistant whom everyone had forgotten.
