Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 128: Chapter 105: Cultivating Unawares, Leveling Up Without Realizing

Mortified at being found out by Xuelian, Zhao Rong snatched a hot towel and covered his face with it. He closed his eyes, sinking back into the wooden tub and pretending to be asleep.

”Xuelian, thank you and the other two for preparing my bath.

”You’ve all had a long day, so you should get some rest.

”I’ll head to bed right after I’m done.”

Hearing this, Xuelian paused at the door. As she was leaving, she called back, ”Zhao Rong, a little ’self-gratification’ is good for your health, but overindulgence can lead to... ’performance issues.’ You have a long and arduous road ahead of you, so you must learn some restraint!”

With that, Xuelian skipped out of the room, closing the bedroom door behind her.

Once the door was shut, Zhao Rong removed the towel from his face. He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. ”My upstanding, righteous image, so carefully constructed, destroyed in an instant by a tiny little camera...”

With a sigh, a dejected Zhao Rong fell asleep.

As Zhao Rong slept in the wooden tub, his body slowly began to absorb the upgrade solution mixed into the water. It turned out that when Zhao Rong had put the Demon Crystal and Immortal Herbs into the pressure cooker to refine, he had fallen asleep. In that time, the Elixir had, by a stroke of luck, already been successfully concocted. However, unlike the usual pill-form Elixirs, this one had been created as a liquid.

Coincidentally, when the three women were preparing Zhao Rong’s bath, they found they were short on hot water. So, they had poured the boiling liquid from the pressure cooker into the wooden tub. And just like that, the liquid Elixir that Zhao Rong had unintentionally created was mixed in with his bathwater.

What Zhao Rong didn’t know was that this liquid Elixir was far more effective and potent than the previous oral versions. Soaking in the Elixir-infused bathwater, he had already begun to unknowingly cultivate and level up.

In the early morning, just as dawn was breaking, Zhao Rong had an erotic dream. He dreamt he was in a private space with three gorgeous women. All inhibitions were gone, and they were just about to begin... when he was suddenly struck by an unbearable urge to pee. In the dream, Zhao Rong reminded himself that a man must never hold it in, otherwise his prostate would definitely go on strike when it was time to perform with the beauties.

So, Zhao Rong found a place to relieve himself.

Just as he was reveling in the satisfying relief, he jolted awake in the large wooden tub. Looking around the room and then at the tub, Zhao Rong realized it had all been a dream.

Just as he was lamenting that it had only been a dream, he was surprised to find that the once murky, blue-green bathwater had become exceptionally clear.

Zhao Rong stared, stunned. Did my piss just now cause a chemical reaction in the tub? Is that why the murky, blue-green water is suddenly crystal clear?

As he pondered this curiosity, he suddenly noticed that his previously lean body now sported two massive pectoral muscles. Even the biceps and deltoids on his once-thin arms had become incredibly large. His traps and lats were now clearly defined on his shoulders and back.

Zhao Rong climbed out of the tub, dried himself off, and scratched the back of his head. This is so weird. How did my body change so much overnight?

With a furrowed brow and a heart full of curiosity, Zhao Rong opened the door and walked out. He went to the villa’s gym and admired his powerful new physique in the mirror. Then, he decided to test his strength.

He was shocked by the results. Before, he could only bench press one ton. Now, he could easily lift over ten tons. Previously, he could barely manage to snatch a little over a ton, but now he could snatch more than ten tons at once. His strength had skyrocketed from the one-ton range to over ten tons.

Not only that, but when he looked at the punching bag, a light jab was all it took to tear straight through it, sending sand flying everywhere.

Utterly bewildered, Zhao Rong went to the rooftop. He looked down from the six-story villa and simply jumped. He landed smoothly, not only unharmed but without feeling the slightest impact. So, he jumped again, leaping from the ground all the way back up to the sixth floor in a single bound.

Feeling these incredible changes in his body, he couldn’t help but wonder. Did I level up? That’s impossible. I haven’t cultivated at all, and my attempt at refining an elixir yesterday was a failure. What the hell is going on?

While Zhao Rong was still trying to puzzle it out, he got a call from Tao Hua. She urged him to hurry to the True Martial Sect so they could go to the Cultivation Cave.

Zhao Rong knew he had to get serious about his training. He had to break through to level twenty before the Second Mage recovered from his injuries. Otherwise, the consequences would be dire. So, Zhao Rong drove to the True Martial Sect as fast as he could.

Tao Hua had already been waiting for him in the sect’s parking lot for a while. As soon as he arrived, the two of them rushed toward the Cultivation Cave at top speed.

Along the way, they encountered many other disciples of the True Martial Sect. All the disciples knew a battle between Zhao Rong and the Second Mage was inevitable. They all wished him luck in breaking through to level twenty and defeating the Mage. But even as they wished him well, none of them were optimistic about his chances. After all, he had been at the True Martial Sect for such a short time, whereas the Second Mage was old and cunning.

A female disciple with an impossibly perky rear watched his departing figure and shook her head. ”Even though Hero Zhao Rong is already level nineteen, it’s highly unlikely he can break through to level twenty so quickly.”

Another female disciple, whose enormous breasts threw her off balance, sighed in amazement. ”It takes us True Martial Sect disciples three years of study just to scrape our way to level twenty. Zhao Rong has been here for less than three months and he’s already aiming for it? That’s just a pipe dream.”

A disciple with a breathy voice watched their hurried figures and said doubtfully, ”Even if Zhao Rong is a cultivation genius, there’s no way he can break through to level twenty this fast. I think he’s done for this time...”

When Zhao Rong and Tao Hua arrived at the entrance to the Cultivation Cave, Zhao Rong realized he wasn’t even sweating, let alone out of breath. The Cultivation Cave was located on a cliff face on the mountain behind the True Martial Sect. In the past, whenever Zhao Rong reached the entrance, he would be gasping for breath and drenched in sweat. But today, he felt no fatigue at all, which came as a complete surprise.

Tao Hua wiped the sweat from her forehead. ”We’re here, Zhao Rong,” she said. ”Before we go in, I have to ask you one last time: are you truly ready to enter closed-door cultivation with me for forty-nine days?”

Hearing the phrase ”closed-door cultivation,” it dawned on Zhao Rong that he was about to eat, drink, sleep, and relieve himself in close quarters with this beautiful woman for forty-nine days. He couldn’t help but feel a thrill of excitement.

He nodded firmly. ”No problem. I’m ready to live with you for forty-nine days.”

Seeing his determined expression, Tao Hua nodded, patting him on the shoulder. ”Actually, our cultivation isn’t just about eating and sleeping together for forty-nine days. We also need to... nourish the Yin and supplement the Yang.”

Zhao Rong froze at her words. Nourish the Yin and supplement the Yang? Isn’t that just a fancy way of saying a man and a woman need to... do certain things together to achieve balance? Does this mean that during our closed-door cultivation, I won’t just be training with Tao Hua, but I’ll also have to... do *that* with her?

He couldn’t help but blush as he looked at her. ”Tao Hua,” he asked, ”when you say ’nourish the Yin and supplement the Yang’... how exactly do we do that? Could you, uh, explain it to me a bit more clearly?”
