Urban Martial Saint

Mu Qingrong’s business philosophy wasn’t flawed, and there was no problem with the way she conducted business. However, in Shenchuan City, small companies like Yunchi Company were abundant, and only a few could truly stand out.

Ordinarily, Mu Qingrong would make some money from each business deal, but Yunchi Company didn’t receive business every month, yet the monthly expenses were mandatory. Thus, after operating for so long, the company was constantly incurring losses.

After Ye Qing arrived, he finally brought a few business deals to the company and secured a significant sum of money that allowed the company to continue production. Mu Qingrong initially thought this would be the company’s chance to turn things around. With this money, she could complete all the business deals, get the final payments, and the company would start making profits.

However, the incident at North Huanqian Bay Bar led several enterprises in Shenchuan City to target Yunchi Company collectively.

All the companies that were collaborating with Yunchi Company were now demanding to cancel their business with it. While unilaterally breaking a contract required paying a penalty, these companies had also made partial advance payments. Even after deducting the penalties, Mu Qingrong still had to refund them the advance payments.

Combined, these advance payments amounted to a large sum. But the money Mu Qingrong had previously received from Das Group had already been spent on materials and put into production, leaving her with no spare cash to refund these advance payments.

When several companies came together to demand their advance payments from Mu Qingrong, where could she possibly gather this money?

In Mu Qingrong’s office, the bosses of five companies came in person to demand their money, each accompanied by two bodyguards, making quite the scene.

Sitting among these men, Mu Qingrong appeared so isolated and helpless. Yet, she was stubbornly resilient, not letting any company staff come in, facing these people all by herself.

”Director Mu, we’re all businessmen, civilized people at that. I don’t want to say more than necessary. I can pay the penalty for breaching the contract unilaterally, but shouldn’t we first refund our advance payments?” a man wearing glasses asked softly with a faint smile.

His name was Tian Qisi, running a small company. Though in Shenchuan City his company was nothing remarkable, compared to Mu Qingrong’s Yunchi Company, it was considerably stronger. Speaking in front of Mu Qingrong, he seemed to carry an innate sense of superiority, glancing at her condescendingly.

”I’m sorry, President Tian, could you give me a few days to raise this money?” Mu Qingrong said.

”Raising money? Did you let us raise money when you took ours?” a short man indignantly said: ”Now the debtor is the boss, and the creditor becomes the pawn. A few days? You might just pack up and flee, then what about our money?”

Mu Qingrong replied, ”My company is right here; where can I possibly run to?”

The short man spat, ”My foot, what is your crappy company worth? It couldn’t even cover the debts you owe me. Let me tell you, don’t fucking play tricks on me, just give the money, and I’ll be gone!”

Mu Qingrong’s expression turned cold as she sharply said, ”President Zhang, please show some respect!”

”I’ll fucking show no respect, so what? You owe me money and still expect my respect? What kind of world is this?” the short man jumped up, pointing at Mu Qingrong and cursing loudly: ”Respect? You want me to respect you, right? Then pay me back, and I’ll respect you immediately. No money, and you expect respect from what exactly?”

This short man was Zhang Chuanyou, essentially a thug with little education, prone to filthy dialect. Moreover, he had a peculiar habit of swearing at beautiful women. Seeing Mu Qingrong flushed with anger only made him feel utterly refreshed.

Another man said, ”Director Mu, we are all reasonable people. Pay back the money, and we’ll leave. If not, we’ll have to meet in court.”

A fierce-looking man angrily said, ”Enough with the nonsense. What’s the use of winning a lawsuit if she has no money to pay back? I don’t like that crap. You’d better pay up now, or I’ll sell you off!”

”One should be gentle with girls, President He, you are a businessman now, why be so rude?” a pot-bellied man said with a light smile, looking at Mu Qingrong, ”Director Mu, it’s alright if you can’t pay back the money right away. But you ought to give everyone here some explanation.

How about this, I’ll host a dinner tonight, and you can come over to give everyone a specific timeframe, so we all have something to look forward to, right?”

Zhang Chuanyou immediately said, ”Old Wang, you’re horny again, thinking letting her relieve your urges means she doesn’t have to pay back? I don’t care, how much is her ass worth? I still have over eighty thousand in advance payments, that money could let me afford two starlets in Xiangjiang, why would I settle for her?”

Old Wang leered at Mu Qingrong, smacking his lips, ”Actually, Director Mu isn’t too bad, just wearing a bit too much. If she showed a bit more skin, she wouldn’t be worse than those starlets!”

”Really?” the fierce man scrutinized Mu Qingrong, ”Come on, Director Mu, take off your coat and let’s see first!”

Mu Qingrong trembled with rage, instinctively gripping the edge of her clothes, and shouted indignantly, ”If you continue to speak this way, all of you get out!”

”Yo, you owe money and still have the nerve to command?” the fierce man instantly got upset, standing up and saying, ”Fuck, either strip now or pay up now, your choice!”

Zhang Chuanyou also laughed continuously, ”Director Mu, we’re all among ourselves here, why make things so stiff. Come on, take off your coat first, let me see if you’re worth eighty thousand!”

The other men also fixed their gaze on Mu Qingrong, these people, manipulated by others, deliberately came to oppress and humiliate her. Backed by someone, they were quite bold.

Facing the gaze of these few, Mu Qingrong felt as if her whole body were exposed. She clutched her clothes tightly and furiously said, ”All of you, get out!”

”Quit fucking pretending to be pure, the moment the clothes come off and you’re tossed on the bed, you’re all the fucking same!” A fierce man walked up to Mu Qingrong, reached out and grabbed at her clothes, saying, ”Whether I fancy you is another matter, but you sure act like some chaste martyr!”

Enraged, Mu Qingrong retaliated with a slap across the fierce man’s face.

The room suddenly went quiet, and after a good while, the fierce man regained his composure, his eyes showing a cold fury, he roared, ”You fucking whore, how dare you hit me, I will fucking kill you today or I am done with this life!”

As he spoke, he reached out to grab Mu Qingrong’s clothes.

Mu Qingrong held onto her clothes tightly, unwilling to let go, which infuriated the fierce man further, prompting him to reach for her hands. Suddenly, Mu Qingrong bent down and bit his hand, causing the fierce man to scream in pain immediately.

”You fucking bitch, I’ll kill you!” The fierce man grabbed Mu Qingrong by the hair and slammed her to the ground.

”Director Mu!” A female employee from Yunchi Company couldn’t hold back and screamed as she rushed in, urgently saying, ”You’re so many grown men bullying a girl, aren’t you ashamed?”

”Fuck off!” The fierce man slapped the female employee across the face, sending her falling to the ground.

At this moment, another seven or eight employees ran in. However, the majority were women, with only two men among them. Moreover, the head of the sales department, Wang Xuan, and his subordinate Cheng Feilong, were not among them. Frightened by the scene, neither dared to enter.

”Who dares to touch Director Mu, I will fight them!” A recent college graduate holding a mop shouted loudly, his face still marked with acne, his body still coursing with the passion of his student days.

”Director Mu! Director Mu!” Several girls went over to help Mu Qingrong up. Although their salaries weren’t high, Mu Qingrong really treated them well. Even Huang Yun came in, holding a broom and trembling, but resolutely shielded Mu Qingrong behind her.

”Hey, what’s this, relying on having more people to bully me, huh?” The fierce man suddenly laughed, looking at the college graduate with the mop, and taunted, ”Oh, you brought a weapon too? What, are you planning to kill someone?”

”Don’t come any closer, or I... I will fight you!” The college student’s hands trembled, fear apparent on his face.

”Fight me? Did you all hear that? He wants to fight me?” The fierce man burst into wild laughter, suddenly stepped forward to the college student, grabbed his collar, and pulled him close.

”Fight me, do you fucking know what I used to do?” The fierce man, his face twisted savagely, roared, ”The fights I’ve been in are more than the books you’ve read. The people I’ve killed are more than the fights you’ve seen. The scars I have are more than your age, what the fuck do you have to fight me with!”

As he spoke, the fierce man slapped the college student twice across the face. The college student, terrified, trembled all over and did not dare to retaliate, only covering his face and staring blankly at the fierce man.

”Fuck, with that kind of spirit, who the fuck are you fighting with!” The fierce man kicked the college student, who ended up sitting on the ground, his eyes still full of fear.

”Not even fully haired and you try to talk tough, fuck!” The fierce man spat at the college student and turned to the few people near Mu Qingrong, saying, ”What’s with you all? Want me to beat you too? Don’t you have any sense, get the fuck out of here!”

The few girls trembled with fear, genuinely frightened. However, they did not retreat.

Mu Qingrong straightened her clothes and said softly, ”You all... you should go...”

”Director Mu, we are not afraid!” a girl exclaimed loudly.

”I know, thank you all!” Mu Qingrong patted her shoulder and said, ”Don’t worry, nothing will happen!”

The girls hesitated, but the fierce man quickly grew impatient, coming forward and kicking one of them down, cursing sharply, ”No need to go, all of you fucking lie down here!”

”That’s right, you don’t have to leave today!” A cold voice came from the doorway at the same time.

Everyone turned to look, only to see a man of average build with eyes sharp as blades, who had already been standing at the office door for some time.
