Urban Martial Saint

As the medicinal effects slowly faded away, Ye Qing’s Internal Breath flowed through all the meridians in his body. Although many meridians were still obstructed, the strength of the meridians had far surpassed the past. With his current condition, opening up the meridians in his body was just a matter of time!

However, the meridians that had been damaged had all recovered. Ye Qing had now returned to his peak state. In fact, he was even stronger than before!

Ye Qing got out of bed and checked the time; it was 10:35. It looked like Black Bear had already arrived at the North Huanqian Bay Bar. With no news coming back at this time, Ye Qing was already somewhat worried.

Leaving his room, he saw that several women and Old Wang Ba were sitting anxiously in the living room. Black Bear had been out for over an hour, and there was no telling what the situation was like over there.

Seeing Ye Qing come out, Old Wang Ba couldn’t help but rejoice, quickly standing up to greet him, asking, ”How are you feeling?”

Ye Qing nodded at him, and Old Wang Ba became even more excited, asking, ”So the medicine actually worked?”

Ye Qing was taken aback, staring blankly at Old Wang Ba. From his tone, it seemed as if he didn’t even know the medicine would be effective!

Seeing Ye Qing’s expression, Old Wang Ba realized his slip of the tongue and hurriedly laughed awkwardly, saying, ”Uh... that medicine was given to me by Third Master Li a while back. I had no idea if it worked or not, but I didn’t expect it to be surprisingly effective. Look at you, you’re all fine and full of vigor now!”

So this guy was actually using Ye Qing as a test subject for the medicine.

Ye Qing, not bothering with him, nodded to the several women and headed straight out the door.

Meanwhile, at the Beihuan Qianwan Roundabout, Black Bear had been hit by several cars five or six times and finally couldn’t hold on any longer. Covered in blood, he was no longer able to dodge by even a fraction of an inch.

Scarface Yang was stunned as he watched and couldn’t help saying, ”These damned pups are really ruthless. Do they really intend to kill a man by running him over!”

Li Lianshan furrowed his brows. What shocked him even more was Black Bear’s resilience. Despite being hit by the cars back and forth, he struggled to get up each time. Even in this injured state, his spine remained upright—a true embodiment of a tough guy!

”He’s a real man, damn it!” Li Lianshan couldn’t help but exclaim. If he hadn’t been an enemy to Black Bear, he would have really liked to befriend him.

Scarface Yang nodded, whispering, ”It’s a pity, dying like this because of these bastards. It’s really unfair!”

Li Lianshan also sighed repeatedly. Although he was involved in the underworld and had a fiery temper, he had a lot of respect for tough guys like Black Bear. Seeing that Black Bear was about to die there, he felt quite sorry to see such valor wasted.

As the cars continued to chase Black Bear, hitting him each time he staggered to his feet, Li Lianshan’s eyebrows knitted tightly. Suddenly, he slammed his fist on the table and stood up, saying in a deep voice, ”Bring him back!”

”Huh?” The people beside him looked at Li Lianshan in astonishment. Scarface Yang was particularly taken aback and asked, ”Eldest Brother, what... what are you planning to do? He’s not our friend!”

”I know!” Li Lianshan said solemnly, ”I respect him for being a man’s man. He can’t die in such a disgraceful way. Bring him back for me!”

Scarface Yang glanced at the chaotic scene outside and then back at Li Lianshan’s determined face before ultimately leading a few men outside.

Around the roundabout, Young Master Wei was excitedly watching the situation unfold, occasionally letting out a shrill scream, cheering on the brutal spectacle.

”Sergeant, weren’t you pretty tough the day before yesterday? Come on then, I’m right here, come and kill me!” Young Master Wei laughed loudly, taunting incessantly, his demeanor extremely arrogant.

”Yeah, weren’t you able to fight? Come and fight some more!”

”Young Master Wei, let me finish him off personally!”

”I’ll do it! I want to face him one-on-one!”

”Damn it, I’d let him use both hands, just with my two feet I could kill him!”

”Use both feet? I could squash him with just one foot!”

The people around Young Master Wei shouted loudly, most of them having been beaten up by Black Bear the previous night. Now that their wounds had healed, they were clamoring for a one-on-one fight, seemingly forgetting how miserably Black Bear had beaten them. If Black Bear hadn’t shown mercy, these men would’ve probably lost their lives!

The cars weren’t eager to kill Black Bear too quickly; they just circled him. Every time Black Bear managed to stand up, shaky and swaying, they would charge at him and knock him down, then wait for him to get up again.

The bystanders were excitedly yelling, for them this wasn’t about taking a human life, it was a thrilling feast of wild revelry!

These hedonists who held life so cheaply were far more terrifying than those real underworld bosses.

Scarface Yang moved through the crowd, looking at the state of affairs with a chill in his spine. No wonder the bosses in Shenchuan City were reluctant to offend these debauchees—they were afraid of their backgrounds and, moreover, these wastrels were simply too horrifying. Those bosses had some scruples in their actions, but these spoiled brats, who had ever seen them hold back?

Scarface Yang walked past the crowd to the side of Young Master Wei on the roundabout and greeted with a smile, ”Master Wei.”

Young Master Wei glanced at Scarface Yang and nodded, ”Yang, you found the time to come over too?”

”Well, I heard there was some action going on here with Master Wei tonight, so I came over to have a look,” Scarface Yang replied with a smile. ”My Eldest Brother is just over at Qianwan Bar.”

”Oh, Li Lao Da is here too,” Young Master Wei looked up at the Qianwan Bar, but the distance was too far, and he couldn’t see Li Lianshan, so he waved his hand and said, ”Let Li Lao Da sit for a while, I’ll finish with this guy and then go have a couple of drinks with him immediately.”

Scarred Yang hesitated for a moment and said, ”Well, my elder brother meant, could you let this man go first?”

”What?” Young Master Wei immediately turned around and glared at Scarred Yang, his voice grave, ”What do you mean? At this point, and you want me to let him go? Are you joking?”

Scarred Yang was also sweating profusely, hastily said, ”This guy is already in such a bad shape, he doesn’t have any fight left in him, isn’t it a waste to kill him now? After all, he smashed up our place the night before last, and my big brother also wants to settle scores with him. If you just kill him, then how are we supposed to settle that account?

Young Master Wei, you have to give my big brother some face, right? Moreover, letting him die so easily isn’t worth it!”

His words pleased Young Master Wei, who nodded and said, ”You’re right, it would indeed be a waste to let him die like that. Fine, take him to the bar first, tonight I’m going to play with him all night long!”

With that, Young Master Wei raised his hand and loudly said, ”Pause!”

Somebody on the side immediately gestured with their hand, signaling the cars to stop.

The cars slowly came to a halt, and the blood-soaked Black Bear staggered to his feet again. One of his legs was badly injured, and almost all his weight was supported on the other leg. But his back was always straight; that was the dignity of a soldier!

Young Master Wei came down from the roundabout, pointed at Black Bear, and said, ”Take him to the bar!”

Immediately, two people went to pull Black Bear, but he waved them off, his voice firm, ”I... I can walk on my own!”

”Fine, you fucking walk there yourself!” Young Master Wei laughed and said, ”I’ll see how long it takes for you to reach the bar!”

Black Bear ignored him and turned to walk toward the bar. His injured leg was very severe, and with each step, he swayed as if he could fall at any moment. However, he kept standing, and though he moved slowly, each step was resolute.

”Damn, he’s so slow, I’ll give you a hand!” A young man approached and kicked Black Bear in the back.

It was difficult for Black Bear to support himself on his legs, and with that kick from the young man, he stumbled forward and was on the verge of falling. Yet, Black Bear staggered forward several steps, somehow avoiding the fall, but blood flowed freely from his injured leg.

”Hahaha, look at that limping!”

”What’s the difference between him and a clown? Some soldier he is, I say he’s just trash!”

”No one better fight me for the next turn, I want to kick the second one!”

The crowd burst into laughter, with no one moved by Black Bear’s determination; instead, they mocked his frantic struggle.

Black Bear clenched his teeth; the pain from his severely injured leg supporting his weight was almost unbearable. Yet, he refused to bow before these people and continued to take one step at a time forward.

Having not gone far, another person kicked him from behind. Black Bear, just like before, rushed forward several steps, persisting without falling.

”Let’s have a contest to see who can knock this son of a bitch down!”

”There’s a prize for knocking him down, there’s a prize!”

”One at a time, line up, line up, ladies first!”

The onlookers shouted with excitement, many crowding around to kick Black Bear as if it were a fun game. Even the girls were pushing and shoving to get in, eager to join in the kicking.

The third to kick was a girl from Young Master Wei’s side, her strength smaller, only managing to push Black Bear two steps forward, far from knocking him down.

Seeing this, the girl immediately whined, ”Oh, I’m not doing this. We girls have so little strength, how can we compare with you men? No way, this is so unfair!”

”Then how do you want to do it?” Young Master Wei asked with a smile.

”I want to change the approach.” The girl looked around for a while, then suddenly grabbed a bottle nearby, rushed forward, and smashed it on Black Bear’s head.

Black Bear, already severely injured, felt his mind go blank as the bottle hit his head, his body wobbled, and he nearly fell.

Seeing Black Bear like this, another girl by Young Master Wei clapped her hands and laughed, ”This is fun, I want to play like this too!”

Scarred Yang watched angrily from the sidelines. Although he was a gangster, he wasn’t as sadistic as these people. Black Bear was already in such bad shape, and yet they continued to torment him -- what was he to them, a man who had killed their entire family or desecrated their ancestors’ graves?

Just as the girl picked up another bottle and was about to step forward, Scarred Yang hurriedly intervened, saying to Master Wei, ”Master Wei, stop the game, or someone will die.”

Master Wei coldly said, ”He’s supposed to die anyway!”

Scarred Yang said, ”I know, but if he dies, I won’t be able to explain it to my elder brother. Besides, didn’t you want to play all night? If he dies so quickly, what will you play with tonight?”
