Urban Martial Saint

Upon hearing these words, Zhao Chengshuang burst into an angry laughter. It was the first time in his life that he had been treated like this, and the first time he had seen so many people be so brazen and overbearing in front of him.

”Deal with me?” Zhao Chengshuang looked at the three policemen in front of him and said, ”You want to deal with me? Beat me up? Or do you have the guts to kill me?”

The three policemen were taken aback. They had taken Yang Shitao’s money and now, come what may, they were not afraid, hence they dared to make such a boast. They thought Zhao Chengshuang would be scared, but not only was he not afraid, he even started laughing, leaving the three of them at a loss for what to do.

”You... you better watch it, act like you saw nothing, and this matter won’t involve you. We are all our own people, I don’t want to make things difficult for you.

But if you insist on being shameless, then I won’t show you any respect either,” one policeman threatened, ”We three are not planning on being cops anymore, assaulting one person is dismissal, assaulting two is dismissal too, so don’t go looking for trouble!”

Waving his only free arm, Zhao Chengshuang shouted, ”Today, I really am looking for trouble, come on, if you have the guts, come and hit me.”

The three policemen eyed each other. The one who had hit Zhao Chengshuang with the worst temper suddenly came forward and kicked his wheelchair, cursing, ”So what if I hit you! So what if I hit you! Today, I will hit you, bite me if you can, bite me if you can!”

Slumped on the ground, Zhao Chengshuang took the policeman’s punches and kicks without pleading for mercy, only shouting loudly, ”Good, keep hitting, keep hitting!”

”Damn it, I don’t believe I can’t beat you into submission.” The policeman hit even harder, while turning to shout, ”What the hell are you two waiting for? Since we started hitting, there’s no merciful way out. Are you still planning on being cops or what?”

The other two exchanged a glance and came over too, surrounding Zhao Chengshuang and laying into him with punches and kicks.

Zhao Chengshuang was already severely injured, and after being beaten by the three for a while, he could no longer shout out, even breathing became difficult. However, the smile on his face became even brighter. Blood spattered from his mouth occasionally, but his smile never stopped.

”You three... you wait... wait for death, you...” Zhao Chengshuang struggled to spit out these words, turning his head to look at Black Bear, who was laying on the ground just as bad off, and said, ”Buddy, I... I can’t help you, but at least I should... share the bitter with you...”

Black Bear did not recognize Zhao Chengshuang, but hearing this, he probably assumed they were on the same side. He struggled to wave his hand at Zhao Chengshuang, no longer having the strength to speak.

”Asking for a beating, you’re just asking for it!” the policeman kicked Zhao Chengshuang in the chest several times, spat on his face, and cursed, ”So what if you’re the West City Sub-bureau chief? I’ll resign and leave Shenchuan City, and your damn influence in Shenchuan City means nothing. I have three hundred thousand, and I can live comfortably anywhere.

You had nothing to do with this, but you still had to come and get beaten up, you’re really asking for it!”

Zhao Chengshuang laughed and said, ”I... I’m afraid you won’t make it out of Shenchuan City...”

”You damn dare to threaten me!” The policeman came over and gave Zhao Chengshuang another couple of kicks, causing his mouth and nose to bleed.

The other two policemen hurriedly pulled him away. If Zhao Chengshuang ended up dead, the three of them really wouldn’t be able to step foot out of Shenchuan City.

Furious, the policeman pointed at Zhao Chengshuang and burst out cursing, ”Bastard, count yourself lucky this is inside the station, otherwise I’d definitely beat you to death!”

Zhao Chengshuang found it difficult to even breathe, but his laughter grew even brighter, his eyes squinting as he kept staring at the policeman.

The angry policeman shouted, ”Keep staring, and I’ll gouge your eyeballs out!”

”Enough, why make a fuss with him? Let’s deal with this guy first,” another policeman pulled him away, and the three went back to Black Bear. One policeman casually picked up a nearby chair, glared at Black Bear, and said, ”Speak up, did Ye Qing kill Yang Wei?”

Black Bear lay on the ground, still not answering. The policeman, enraged, lifted the chair and began to violently smash it down on Black Bear’s back, screaming as he hit, ”Will you talk or not! Will you talk or not! Will you talk or not!”

”Let me do it! Let me do it!” Another policeman snatched the chair, swinging it as he too beat down wildly.

Zhao Chengshuang struggled to get up, but he couldn’t stand, and from behind, he indignantly said, ”You three remember this! You remember this! I... I definitely won’t let you get away with this!”

The irate policeman turned and cursed, ”Shut your damn mouth, if you keep talking shit, I’ll take you down first!”

While such chaos unfolded in that interrogation room, in another room, as Chen Tianyao pointed a gun at Ye Qing’s head and cursed arrogantly, ”You think bringing in Zhao Chengshuang will settle matters? You think knowing Deng Liyang will scare me? You think your little connections are of any use? You think you can swagger around Shenchuan City just because you’re a little capable?

Let me tell you, this is Shenchuan City, this is North City Sub-bureau, this is my turf. You’re arrogant, aren’t you, and good at fighting, huh? Try hitting someone now, just try, let’s see who’s faster, your foot or my gun!”

Ye Qing remained silent, just watching Chen Tianyao steadily, his eyes growing increasingly cold.

”What are you looking at? Can your staring do anything to me? The gun is in my hand, what can you do to me? Come on, hit me, hit me!” Chen Tianyao said, even thrusting his face forward, getting close to Ye Qing’s face.

”Not hitting, are you? Not hitting, are you? Damn it, I give you a chance and you’re useless, what else can you do?” Chen Tianyao cursed more, suddenly kicking Ye Qing, ”You won’t hit me, will you? If you won’t hit, then I will!”

With that, Chen Tianyao started punching and kicking Ye Qing.

Ye Qing stepped back several paces, his expression turning colder, and after receiving a few slaps from Chen Tianyao, he finally couldn’t hold back and shouted, ”Enough!”

```
”Enough of your mother, I don’t say enough, who the fuck can say enough!” Chen Tianyao aimed the gun at Ye Qing’s head and slapped him again.
This time, Ye Qing didn’t let it hit him, instead turning his head to dodge Chen Tianyao’s slap.
Chen Tianyao, missing the hit, was furious and pressed the gun against Ye Qing’s head, saying, ”Stand still, you motherfucker, sway again and I’ll blow your brains out!”
Ye Qing looked coldly at Chen Tianyao, each word sinking heavily, ”You’d better not point that gun at my head!”
”What will you do if I point it, huh? What can you do?” Chen Tianyao said while still aiming the gun at Ye Qing’s head, his attitude extremely arrogant.
Ye Qing’s gaze turned icy as he suddenly lunged forward, ramming his shoulder hard into Chen Tianyao’s chest.
Chen Tianyao stumbled back several steps, instinctively raising his gun to aim at Ye Qing. But at that moment, Ye Qing had already surged one step forward and kicked, sending the gun flying out of his hand. At the same time, Ye Qing bent over and rolled on the spot, his handcuffed hands looped around his legs and finally reaching the front.
The entire process was incredibly fast, and by the time the two policemen at the side reacted, Chen Tianyao was already down. The two were shocked and immediately drew their guns. Before they could aim, Ye Qing had charged up to them, his handcuffed hands reaching out to grab the guns in their grasp.
Not daring to let Ye Qing grab the guns, they clenched them tightly. However, Ye Qing didn’t take their guns, he just yanked on the guns’ backsides, and then stopped any further action.
On the other side, Chen Tianyao clambered up, staggering, and pointed at Ye Qing, bellowing, ”Shoot! Shoot! Kill him! Kill him!”
The two policemen were very obedient to Chen Tianyao, and upon hearing the order, they immediately aimed their guns at Ye Qing and pulled the triggers. However, both guns made no sound at all. Looking closely, they realized Ye Qing had disassembled the upper part of their guns, leaving only the empty shells behind, no wonder they couldn’t fire.
The two were astonished; Ye Qing had dismantled their guns in the blink of an eye—his speed was incredible.
”Shoot! What are you waiting for, shoot!” Chen Tianyao cried out in panic, truthfully a bit scared because he knew none of the policemen in the room could handle one Ye Qing.
”Director, our... our guns are broken...” one policeman said with a mournful face.
”What?” Chen Tianyao only then saw something was wrong with the guns in their hands, his expression instantly changing. His gun was fine, but it had fallen behind Ye Qing. To pick up that gun, he would have to get past Ye Qing. But did he dare get close to Ye Qing now?
”You... you dare dismantle police guns, you wait till you get shot by a firing squad!” Chen Tianyao said, turning around to open the door and escape, not daring to stay here any longer.
However, before Chen Tianyao could open the door, the room door was abruptly pushed open.
Director Nian Hongcai arrived with several policemen, his face cold, looking very upset.
Seeing Director Nian, Chen Tianyao was as if seeing a savior, urgently saying, ”Director Nian, you came just in time. This suspect is crazed, he assaulted police and robbed a gun, hurry up, shoot him immediately, he’s a dangerous person!”
Director Nian glanced at Chen Tianyao, his frown deepening. He turned his head towards Ye Qing, hesitated slightly, and said, ”So, you’re Ye Qing?”
”Yes,” Ye Qing replied indifferently, showing no intention to act. If it were not for Chen Tianyao pushing him to the edge, he certainly would not have struck.
Director Nian said, ”It’s all right, you can go back now.”
”What?” Ye Qing and Chen Tianyao cried out in shock; even Ye Qing himself didn’t anticipate this outcome.
Director Nian said, ”It’s all right, you can go back now. We’ve already clarified things, you have nothing to do with this case!”
Chen Tianyao pressed, ”How... How could it be nothing? So many people saw him commit murder. And, the bomb matters can’t be unrelated to him either.”
Director Nian shot him a glare, saying, ”There are more witnesses proving he didn’t kill, and regarding the bomb, how do you know it’s related to him?”
Chen Tianyao immediately shut his mouth. He didn’t understand how Director Nian could suddenly change his stance and not force Ye Qing to take the fall.
Just then, a commotion suddenly erupted outside. Director Nian and Chen Tianyao turned simultaneously to look, only to see over a dozen soldiers escorting a middle-aged man striding in. The middle-aged man was none other than Zhao Jianjun, the political commissar of the Shenchuan Military District.
When Zhao Jianjun reached Director Nian, he gave Chen Tianyao a chilly glance and asked sternly, ”My son was supposed to have arrived earlier, where is he?”
