Urban Martial Saint

The crowd was astonished, now in this situation, and he still ran off to buy alcohol? And two bottles of baijiu at that, what was he planning to do?

The bartender, having witnessed Ye Qing’s action just now, was also taken aback. When Ye Qing asked him for alcohol, he trembled and glanced at Yang Wei, wondering what Yang Wei was thinking.

Yang Wei’s eyes widened as well, unclear about what Ye Qing was up to. Getting alcohol at this time, could it be he intended to toast him? That didn’t seem right either. If he really wanted to reconcile, why had he killed someone just earlier?

Yang Wei was filled with amazement and didn’t notice the bartender’s gaze.

Hindered by Ye Qing’s imposing manner and getting no sign from Yang Wei, the bartender could only take two bottles of Erguotou from behind the counter. Although this was a bar, they sold a variety of alcohol, including strong liquors like Erguotou.

Ye Qing opened one bottle and tipped it back, gulping it down in one go.

Onlookers watched Ye Qing’s impressive drinking, dumbfounded. Erguotou had a high alcohol content, was Ye Qing trying to get himself drunk?

In the surprised eyes of everyone, Ye Qing opened the second bottle. As people wondered if he was going to offer the bottle to Yang Wei, Ye Qing once again tilted his head back and consumed every drop.

Two bottles of alcohol would have knocked most people out cold, but Ye Qing, his face turning red, his eyes grew even brighter.

Ye Qing tossed away the bottles and walked slowly over to Black Bear, bent down, helped him up, and said, ”Xiong Zi, I’m here!”

”Captain!” Black Bear grasped Ye Qing’s hand, finally feeling a weight lifted from his shoulders.

Ye Qing nodded firmly, helped Black Bear to the side, then looked up and swept his gaze across the crowd before suddenly pointing at Yang Wei, ”Today, all of you are going to die!”

Hearing this, Yang Wei finally snapped out of his shock. Looking at the significantly outnumbered Ye Qing, Yang Wei suddenly burst into laughter, ”You’re really fucking amusing. That soldier couldn’t take us down, and you think you can make us all die? Don’t fucking joke, do you really think you’re somebody? Have you forgotten how I took care of you the night before last?

What, wasn’t the beating from that night enough, so you want another round today?”

”Young Master Wei, I’ll take him down myself!” a youth stepped forward, volunteering.

Young Master Wei waved his hand in satisfaction, ”Alright, alright, go on, but don’t disgrace me!”

Full of arrogance, the youth strode out of the crowd and stood in front of Ye Qing, sizing him up and said, ”I’m a black belt in Taekwondo, I usually don’t bother with nobody soldiers. But, seeing you challenge Young Master Wei like this, it really pisses me off. Come on, I’ll just play with you, but don’t disappoint me, don’t fall from just one punch!”

Ye Qing remained silent, his face growing redder. The people around were intensely focused on the scene, many already began to cheer for the youth.

Flushed with pride, the youth kicked around on the spot, performing a few impressive moves with a whooshing sound, instantly eliciting screams from several girls around which only increased his pride. With a loud shout, he suddenly aimed a flying kick at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing stood quietly in place and, just as the youth’s foot was half a meter away, he suddenly stepped to the right. At the same time, his right hand formed a fist, and he landed a heavy punch on the youth’s chest.

With that one punch, the youth fell to the ground, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, motionless.

The place fell silent, and after a while, someone cautiously went over to check the youth’s breathing. Moments later, this person exclaimed, ”He... he’s dead...”

The entire place was in shock, and even Yang Wei abruptly stood up.

Black Bear was already formidable, but even he might not be able to kill someone with a single punch. Ye Qing’s build, compared to Black Bear’s, seemed like a person from a different world. But how could Ye Qing have killed the strongest one-on-one fighter on their side with a single punch?

Ye Qing shook his fist, feeling like something was missing, and glanced at the bar, murmuring, ”Still not quite there.”

”Not quite there? Missing what?” The same question surfaced in everyone’s mind, including Li Lianshan and Scarred Yang, who both widened their eyes. They suddenly realized that the truly terrifying person wasn’t the big guy but this seemingly frail youth!

Only Black Bear knew what Ye Qing meant by ”not quite there”. Ye Qing had a high alcohol tolerance, but he rarely drank, especially not during missions. Because once Ye Qing started drinking, he couldn’t hold back. With Ye Qing’s strength, letting loose would be extremely terrifying. Just like the man just now, hit by Ye Qing’s punch right in the chest.

A punch with Ye Qing’s full force could stop his heartbeat, killing him outright!

Ye Qing had downed two bottles of baijiu, but to him, it was still not enough. If he could drink a little more, then it would be just right, allowing him to forget everything and strike as he pleased.

As Ye Qing had said earlier, he had already decided to go on a killing spree tonight!

Ye Qing was a very principled man. During his time in the military, he could endure civilians causing trouble and spitting in his face. But he could not stand for injustice; once he deemed someone guilty, he had his own ways of dealing with it. Tonight, Yang Wei and his gang intended to torture Black Bear to death, and this challenged Ye Qing’s bottom line. He wouldn’t show them any mercy!

After a moment of astonishment, Yang Wei felt losing face, stood up, and roared, ”You... you fucker don’t think you can scare me. I have so many men here, how many can you kill? You’d better surrender obediently, or neither of you will leave this place alive!”

Ye Qing remained silent, only walking slowly toward Yang Wei.

Fearful, Yang Wei hastily gestured with his hands, shouting, ”Kill him for me!”

About five or six people by Yang Wei’s side immediately charged at Ye Qing. Although Ye Qing’s terrifying punch earlier had instilled fear in everyone, they still thought he would be easier to handle than Black Bear, given Black Bear’s formidable physique.

These five or six people rushed in. Some grabbed bottles from nearby while others pulled out knives, waving them as they surrounded Ye Qing. However, Ye Qing simply ignored them, continuing his slow walk forward.

As Ye Qing approached, the one at the forefront clenched his teeth and let out a roar, swinging the bottle in his hand towards Ye Qing’s head.

Ye Qing raised his hand and snatched the bottle directly from the man’s grip, smashing it on the man’s head.

The bottle shattered, but so did the man’s head, leaving a gaping wound from which blood flowed freely. Clutching his head, the man fell to the ground, rolling around and howling in pain. But Ye Qing showed no mercy, delivering a kick to his chest. The man immediately slid across the floor for seven or eight meters, knocking over several tables before finally stopping against the wall.

Blood spewed from his mouth as he tried to prop himself up with his hands, attempting to stand. After several tries, he collapsed powerlessly to the ground, his eyes wide open.

Someone slightly braver went to check and saw the man’s chest caved in, his ribs broken by Ye Qing’s kick. It seemed the ribs had pierced his heart, which likely caused his death.

The remaining few, witnessing the horrible sight, felt a chill overtake them and hesitated to make another move.

Yet Ye Qing did not pause, stepping forward relentlessly. Although four or five men were blocking his way, they were also retreating step by step, trembling violently.

”All of you, attack! Kill him! Kill him!” Yang Wei bellowed furiously.

The remaining men exchanged glances, and with a shout, one charged forward. The others followed, hoping to overpower Ye Qing with their numbers.

Confronted by these men, Ye Qing paused briefly. Before they could reach him, he stepped forward and threw his fists, sending the front two to the ground. His body swiveled to dodge an incoming dagger and, barehanded, he grabbed the dagger and in a swift backhand cut, slit the throat of the third man.

The last two, terrified by Ye Qing’s ferocity, shivered and hurriedly retreated. Ye Qing did not pursue them; instead, he turned and walked over to the two he had knocked down earlier. With swift movements, he dispatched them both to meet King Yan.

By now, everyone was stunned by Ye Qing’s savagery. Amidst a crowd of over a hundred people, his calm, serene demeanor and the clean dispatching of his victims. Was this person really a retired soldier, or a murdering Demon King?

Yang Wei was also afraid. He quickly backed away, yelling loudly, ”Protect me! Protect me!”

Little Fox, who was with him, trembled fearfully and followed Yang Wei as they fled for their lives. Amid such chaos, a woman suddenly rushed forward with a bottle, aiming to throw herself at Ye Qing.

”Wei, I’ll save you!”

This woman was the same one that Yang Wei had slapped twice earlier. She had been hiding in the crowd, not daring to get close to Yang Wei. Now seizing the opportunity, she immediately sought to impress him.

The woman was fierce, aiming the bottle straight at the back of Ye Qing’s head—a dangerously vulnerable spot. If she succeeded, it could be lethal or at the very least cause serious injury.

Of course, Ye Qing was not about to be hit. He spun around and kicked, shattering the bottle. The woman paused, then pointed at Ye Qing, urgently saying, ”You...you don’t hit women, try hitting me and see. I’ll accuse you of indecency...”

This woman had been out with Yang Wei at The Tycoon the night before, and knowing that both Ye Qing and Black Bear refrained from hitting women, she dared to make her move.

Ye Qing frowned slightly, then suddenly kicked the woman in the chest, sending her flying backward to crash to the ground, vomiting blood incessantly.

The woman never expected Ye Qing to actually hit her. Furious and shocked, she yelled, ”You... you cowardly loser, you... you actually hit a woman... ”

Ye Qing looked at her and said coldly, ”In my eyes, you can’t even be considered a human.”

The woman was enraged, not just by the assault but by the insult as well.

”You...what gives you the right to say that to me!” she shouted loudly.

Ye Qing replied, ”Because you don’t give a damn about the lives of others!”

The woman was taken aback and then shouted, ”What about you? Are you any different? I... I haven’t killed someone, and how many people have you killed tonight!”

”I am not like you!” Ye Qing turned his gaze to the onlookers, stating coldly, ”In my eyes, none of these qualify as people!”
