Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing did not dodge, allowing the officer to handcuff him. However, when another police officer went to handcuff Black Bear, Ye Qing immediately got angry.

”He’s injured like this, do you still need to handcuff him?” Ye Qing indignantly said.

”This is the chief’s order!” the officer coldly replied.

Li Lianshan indignantly said, ”What chief or no chief, he’s injured like this, logically and sentimentally, he should be sent to the hospital for dressing first. If this man is taken back and sustains any injuries, will your chief take responsibility?”

”You need not worry about these matters, Boss Li. Our chief has given orders, no matter what, we must take them back!” the officer said, glancing sideways at Ye Qing, ”Are you thinking of resisting arrest?”

Ye Qing spoke gravely, ”I will not resist arrest, but could you please find someone to dress his wounds first?”

The officer said, ”We’ll discuss this matter back at the station. Right now, my task is to take you back!”

”Fuck your ancestors, do you have no humanity? He’s injured like this, what’s wrong with dressing the wounds first? What, are you afraid he’ll run away?” Li Lianshan thundered furiously, ”Fine, fine, fine, if you dare take him away like this. I fucking won’t make this news public, I fucking won’t bear the name Li!”

”Boss Li, I advise you it’s best not to meddle in this matter,” the officer coldly said, his tone carrying a threatening nuance. Li Lianshan was used to being threatened by the police in his line of work.

Li Lianshan angrily said, ”I just want to meddle, worst comes to worst, I’ll sit a few years in prison, I fucking haven’t sat before. But, if it really comes to a life-and-death struggle, I go in, you guys fucking won’t have peace either. I have so many brothers outside, I don’t believe you can have good days!”

The officer frowned. Threatening Li Lianshan used to be easy, but he hadn’t expected Li Lianshan to be so agitated tonight. Honestly, he was also afraid of Li Lianshan; they had all taken Li Lianshan’s money. If Li Lianshan really made a desperate move, even if Li Lianshan went in, they would be skinned too.

Without their police identity then, Li Lianshan’s brothers outside could make their lives worse than death!

After a standoff for a while, the officer softened, ”Alright, I’ll take him for dressing first!”

Li Lianshan glared and said, ”What do you mean take, isn’t the doctor coming? Dress it here, I fucking want to watch with my own eyes!”

Helplessly, the officer sent someone to find a doctor to come over and dress Black Bear’s wounds first.

Ye Qing stood by, looked at Li Lianshan, and sincerely said, ”Thank you!”

”Don’t thank me, fuck, after all, it’s still my fault!” Li Lianshan took a deep sigh of anger, ”Brother, don’t worry, I will testify for you in this matter, it absolutely has nothing to do with you. I’ll spend money to fight your case, hire the best lawyer for you, you definitely won’t have any problems!”

Ye Qing slowly shook his head, ”Could you help me with something?”

”What is it, just say it!” Li Lianshan urged.

Ye Qing said, ”My friend, she’s been captured by Yang Wei, still hasn’t been rescued. Could you please help me save her?”

”It’s Huo Pingping, right? Rest assured, leave it to me!” Li Lianshan gestured, ”Scarface, take people and go save that girl first!”

Not long after, Black Bear’s wounds were superficially treated, and the officer prepared to take Ye Qing and Black Bear away.

Li Lianshan could no longer stop them, constantly telling Ye Qing not to worry. Ye Qing himself was quite calm, thanked Li Lianshan, and left with the officers.

Watching Ye Qing walk away, Li Lianshan looked dazed, suddenly raised his hand and slapped himself twice, startling his subordinates beside him.

”Fuck your ancestors, Li Lianshan, look at the shitty idea you came up with!” Li Lianshan cursed himself, paced in circles on the spot, then suddenly his eyes lit up, and he quickly took out his phone to call Old Lin.

”Old Li, how did it go?” Old Lin asked cheerfully on the phone; he was also looking forward to the outcome.

Li Lianshan said, ”No time to discuss that, quickly call Zhao Chengshuang, tell him Ye Qing and Black Bear have been arrested by the Beicheng Branch police, and he needs to think of a way to save them fast.”

”Oh? What happened?” Old Lin furrowed his brows, suddenly feeling something was wrong. Li Lianshan should be against Ye Qing, why now did he want to save him?

Li Lianshan said, ”No time to explain that, just quickly call Zhao Chengshuang, or it’ll be too late.”

Old Lin pondered for a moment, then said, ”Alright, I’ll contact him right away.”

After hanging up, Old Lin’s brow furrowed deeply, he remained silent for a while, slowly placed the phone aside, and did not call Zhao Chengshuang.

Just then, Chen Keai received a phone call in the house. Notification of an explosion at North Ring Qianwan Bar, urgent need for medical personnel support, urged her to hurry back to the hospital to help.

This call shocked Chen Keai; North Ring Qianwan Bar, wasn’t that the place Ye Qing and Black Bear went to? What had happened?

Chen Keai shared this news with the other girls, who were all shocked. Especially Old Wang Ba sitting inside the house, he jumped up hurriedly, anxious, ”How could this happen?”

”Did the explosion kill a lot of people?” Fang Tingyun asked urgently, ”What about Ye? How is he? Is he alright?”

”I don’t know either, I need to hurry over there to find out.” Cutie put on her jacket hurriedly and said, ”I’m heading there first, wait for my call.”

After Cutie left, everyone in the house was anxiously pacing around. Fang Tingyun’s eyes were slightly red, fearing something had happened to Ye Qing.

”It’s no use worrying now...” Mu Qingrong, who had just returned not long ago, furrowed his brows and said in a deep voice, ”The explosion at North Huanqian Bay Bar is a big deal; it might somehow be related to Ye Qing. The priority now is to find a police officer to get information, call Zhao Chengshuang!”

Heartened by the suggestion, Fang Tingyun said urgently, ”Yes, yes, call Zhao Chengshuang quickly!”

Mu Qingrong took out his phone and called Zhao Chengshuang. Zhao Chengshuang was asleep at that time. Suddenly hearing the news, he woke up immediately, only dropping the sentence, ”Wait, I’ll check!”

After hanging up, Zhao Chengshuang directly called the station. From Deputy Chief Old Mo, Zhao Chengshuang finally got a clearer picture of the situation. He also found out about the information that Ye Qing and Black Bear had been brought back to the Beicheng Branch.

Having worked in the police department for so long, Zhao Chengshuang knew the significance of this incident and understood why Nian Hong brought Ye Qing back. Without a doubt, he wanted Ye Qing to take the fall for this!

”Damn it, this scumbag!” cursed Zhao Chengshuang as he struggled to get up, shouting loudly, ”Aunt Wu, Aunt Wu, Aunt Wu!”

Soon, a sleepy Aunt Wu came in and said, ”What’s the matter? What time is it, do you need to go to the bathroom?”

Aunt Wu had been the Zhao family’s housekeeper for many years and held a status no different from family members, which is why she could speak to Zhao Chengshuang like this.

”Aunt Wu, help me get dressed, I have to go out and handle some business,” Zhao Chengshuang said urgently.

Seeing Zhao Chengshuang’s hastened manner, Aunt Wu knew it was no minor matter and hurried over to help him into his clothes, asking, ”Is it a big issue, should I inform the master?”

Zhao Chengshuang paused, then replied, ”I’ll talk to him myself in a bit!”

While getting dressed, Zhao Chengshuang made two more phone calls to his trusted colleagues in his department, instructing them to rush to the Beicheng Branch immediately to ensure Ye Qing’s safety.

Once dressed, Zhao Chengshuang got on his wheelchair, hurrying to wake his father, Zhao Jianjun.

After hearing Zhao Chengshuang’s account, Zhao Jianjun frowned deeply. Having been in the military area for so long, he was aware of the gravity of the situation. Just this incident alone could cause many in the Shenchuan City police department to crumble. Zhao Chengshuang wanting to support Ye Qing was by no means an easy task, and if things went wrong, even he could be implicated.

”Were those bombs really planted by your friend?” Zhao Jianjun asked gravely.

Zhao Chengshuang replied, ”Of course not. Would my friend need to use bombs?”

Zhao Jianjun asked, ”Is there anyone who can testify?”

”This...” Zhao Chengshuang was suddenly at a loss. Where could he find such a witness? To clear Ye Qing’s name, someone needed to be found who had placed the bombs or a witness who had seen the incident.

”Regardless of whether there’s a witness, we can’t just let him be wrongfully blamed like this, it definitely wasn’t him!” Zhao Chengshuang looked at his father and pleaded, ”Dad, help him out this time. No matter what, he did save my life!”

Zhao Jianjun frowned deeply and was silent for a long time. If it had been one of Zhao Chengshuang’s old frivolous friends, he wouldn’t have bothered at all. But Ye Qing was different; he had saved Zhao Chengshuang’s life and, more importantly, had taught him the meaning of responsibility, which made the greatest impact on Zhao Chengshuang and turned him into his only true beneficial friend.

This was someone Zhao Jianjun simply couldn’t refuse to help!\\

Zhao Jianjun said gravely, ”You go and stabilize the situation first, I’ll call Xiao Deng!”

”Dad, thank you!” Zhao Chengshuang was overjoyed and couldn’t wait for Aunt Wu to push him; he started wheeling out hurriedly by hand.

”Be careful, slow down, you child!” Aunt Wu quickly caught up and carefully pushed Zhao Chengshuang out.

Watching his son’s busily retreating figure, Zhao Jianjun felt solemn yet proud. The solemnity was for the predicament of Ye Qing, while the pride was for his son’s sense of responsibility and loyalty to a friend!

After the last incident, Zhao Chengshuang had indeed learned a valuable lesson!

Pacing around the room and finishing a cigarette, Zhao Jianjun finally picked up the phone on the desk and called Deng Liyang.

After hearing what Zhao Jianjun had to say, Deng Liyang also found it difficult as he said in a low voice after a long while, ”Commissar Zhao, it’s not that I don’t want to help, but this incident has indeed blown up too big. Thirty-nine people died, and over one hundred seventy were injured at the site. Moreover, there are eyewitnesses who saw Ye Qing kill someone. He can’t escape this charge!”

Zhao Jianjun furrowed his brows; he hadn’t known about Ye Qing killing someone.

After a long silence, Zhao Jianjun issued a stern order, ”No matter what, find a way to protect him!”
