Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing was fuming at the door; he finally understood what Mu Qingrong had come here to do.

It seemed that it was Zhang Daping who had asked her to come here. No wonder Mu Qingrong had looked at him with such a resolute expression in the afternoon, as if she was prepared to go all in at Zhang Daping’s place.

With Zhang Daping’s lecherous nature, he surely wanted to enforce the unwritten rule on Mu Qingrong. Mu Qingrong had brought a recording pen to capture Zhang Daping’s words and then use them to threaten him. Although Mu Qingrong’s method wasn’t very honorable, Zhang Daping was indeed despicable. He had ambushed her with three men here; it looked like he never intended to let Mu Qingrong go tonight!

”Let go of me!” Suddenly, Mu Qingrong’s loud shout came from the room, followed by Zhang Daping’s anxious voice, ”Hold her! Hold her! Don’t let her jump off the building!”

”Let go of me! Let go of me! If you dare touch me, I swear I will die in front of you all!”

It sounded like Mu Qingrong was caught and struggling to cry out.

”Damn it, I haven’t even had my fun yet and you’re thinking of jumping off a building; what a waste. If you want to jump, wait until I’m done with you, then I will definitely not stop you!” Zhang Daping shouted loudly, ”Hurry up, pour the drug down her; otherwise, if she doesn’t react at all, what’s the point of playing!”

By this time, Ye Qing had already walked into the room. Unfortunately, not a single person had noticed him.

A man poured a packet of white powder into a glass, mixed it with juice, and laughed as he offered it to Mu Qingrong, ”Come on, little darling. Take a sip, take a sip and you’ll be in ecstasy, forever unable to leave your brothers!”

”Hahaha, it’s always the same with women, get them once, and they will come back kneeling and begging you!” Zhang Daping laughed heartily, eyeing Mu Qingrong up and down as he said, ”I just love to play with this type of strong woman; it’s such a thrill!”

The man holding the glass hadn’t even reached Mu Qingrong when his wrist was suddenly grabbed, and the glass in his hand was snatched away.

The three men inside were all focused on Mu Qingrong and hadn’t noticed an additional person entering the room. They only saw Ye Qing’s presence when he came over and took the glass.

Seeing Ye Qing, Zhang Daping was taken aback and exclaimed, ”How... how is it you?”

Ye Qing didn’t speak. Holding the glass, he grabbed the face of the man, pried open his mouth, and poured all the juice straight in. Holding his mouth and nose, he forcefully made the man swallow the entire glass of juice.

That man, in Ye Qing’s hands, was like a mouse meeting a cat, with absolutely no resistance whatsoever. After drinking a glass of juice, his face changed drastically; it was a potent aphrodisiac, and ingesting it was far from pleasant.

Ye Qing did not stop; he reached into the man’s pocket and pulled out several more packets of drugs. This time, Ye Qing did not even bother with water and shoved all the packets of powder into the man’s mouth, keeping his mouth and nose covered until he had swallowed it all, then released him.

As soon as Ye Qing let go, the man immediately bent over and crouched on the ground, trying to induce vomiting with his fingers in his throat to expel what he had swallowed.

But at this point, getting rid of the ingested substances was not going to be easy.

”Who are you?” Another man shouted angrily, not recognizing Ye Qing.

”The surname is Ye. Director Mu came here willingly; what the hell are you meddling in!” Zhang Daping coldly eyed Ye Qing. He had heard about Ye Qing being beaten by Lin Zhen Nan’s bodyguards and thought Ye Qing was an easy target. He wasn’t afraid of Ye Qing with his three men.

Ye Qing glanced at Mu Qingrong, who sat disheveled in a corner with a vacant look in her eyes, seemingly on the edge of mental collapse.

Ye Qing said sternly, ”If she came willingly, I wouldn’t interfere. But if you think about forcing her, I will definitely not let you off!”

”Darn it, what can you do if you don’t let me off?” Zhang Daping slowly rose to his feet and said, ”Young man, don’t be too impulsive. In Shenchuan City, you cannot fight against me. Have you even considered the circumstance you are in before you bluster like that? It’s laughable. How do you plan on not letting us go?”

”Manager Zhang, why waste words with him? Let’s beat him then talk!” Another man bellowed, charging forward with a punch aimed at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing’s counter was swift and efficient, also with a punch. However, his punch was much faster, and while the man’s fist only extended halfway, Ye Qing’s fist struck the man’s face.

Immediately, the man’s nose collapsed inwards. Broken nose bones were the least of his worries, as the key issue was the disfigurement.

Zhang Daping was momentarily stunned, looking at the man crouching and covering his face, his chubby cheeks trembling.

”You... you... you... don’t come any closer, I... I am... calling the police...” Zhang Daping stammered.

Ye Qing took measured steps toward Zhang Daping, who backed away repeatedly until he suddenly grabbed the man still retching on the ground, pushing him towards Ye Qing.

In the cramped corridor, the man stumbled forward, effectively blocking Ye Qing. Zhang Daping, quick-witted, turned and ran out. By the time Ye Qing pushed the man aside and gave chase, Zhang Daping had already reached the elevator.

Ye Qing had intended to pursue him, but he was also afraid that Mu Qingrong might do something foolish inside the house, so he hurriedly turned around, entered the room, and dragged Mu Qingrong out with him.

Following Ye Qing with a dazed expression, Mu Qingrong seemed to have lost all sense of awareness. As Ye Qing pulled her along in the pursuit, Zhang Daping had already entered the elevator, and Ye Qing could only chase after him by taking another elevator.

However, Ye Qing was ultimately a bit too slow. By the time his elevator reached the underground parking lot, Zhang Daping had already driven towards him, accelerating to hit Ye Qing.

Ye Qing frowned; now, whenever he saw someone trying to run people over with a car, he felt a nameless rage inside him. He pushed Mu Qingrong to the safety of a side corridor where no vehicles could enter. As for himself, he coldly watched as Zhang Daping’s car sped towards him, with no intention of dodging.

”I’m going to run you over!” Zhang Daping yelled as he drove towards him, intending to hit Ye Qing and send him flying.

However, when his car was still five meters away from Ye Qing, Ye Qing suddenly leaped up and landed on the hood of the car, kicking hard against the windshield.

While the windshield was tough, it almost shattered under Ye Qing’s powerful kick. Zhang Daping was taken aback, hastily steering the car in an S-shape to shake off Ye Qing.

Ye Qing kicked the glass repeatedly, but the high speed of the car made him almost fall off several times. In the end, he didn’t dare to move too much and could only cling to the roof and lie there.

But now Zhang Daping seemed almost insane, driving out of the underground parking lot and constantly twisting the steering wheel in an attempt to throw Ye Qing off. This was the main street, and before long, he had already crashed into three other cars.

Ye Qing was furious; Zhang Daping clearly had no regard for the lives of others. Driving like this on the road was too dangerous.

But the car was going too fast, and he had no opportunity to break into the car. Zhang Daping, almost in a frenzy, pushed the accelerator to the floor, rushing one hundred meters down the street before suddenly swerving onto the pedestrian sidewalk and knocking two pedestrians into the air.

Seeing this, Ye Qing hurriedly jumped down from the roof of the car. Zhang Daping’s car was sturdy, and breaking through the windshield to get inside would definitely take some time. Ye Qing didn’t want to see how many more people he might injure on the street.

After throwing Ye Qing off, Zhang Daping stepped on the gas and crazily sped away without even daring to look back.

Ye Qing went over to help the two injured pedestrians; they were both severely injured, one of them with several broken ribs.

Fortunately, Ye Qing knew some medical techniques. He first helped to reset their bones, then pressed acupoints to stop the bleeding before calling for an ambulance.

At this time, Mu Qingrong staggered out from the underground parking lot. Finally, some brilliance returned to her eyes, but her expression was even more sorrowful than before.

Ten minutes later, two ambulances arrived to take the injured away, and both Ye Qing and Mu Qingrong followed them to the hospital.

Ye Qing really couldn’t leave Mu Qingrong alone now; her emotional swings were too severe, and there was no telling what sort of erratic behavior she might exhibit. She had almost attempted suicide by jumping from the hotel earlier. Even though it was a dangerous situation, Ye Qing couldn’t let her go home alone - no one could guarantee she wouldn’t do something similar again.

After settling the two injured individuals, Mu Qingrong also underwent a checkup. Though she was fine, she still stayed in the hospital for a night. According to the doctors, her emotional state was so volatile that they had to administer a sedative before she could fall asleep.

Ye Qing stayed next to the hospital bed, worried that something might happen to Mu Qingrong. Fortunately, she had a peaceful night’s sleep, and eventually, exhausted, Ye Qing too fell asleep with his head on the bedside.

As the first ray of morning light filtered in, Ye Qing awoke from his deep sleep. Opening his eyes, he just so happened to see Mu Qingrong lying on the bed, her beautiful eyes gazing at him distantly, lost in thought. Ye Qing lay with his head by the bedside, their faces very close, an unintentionally ambiguous air surrounding the scene.

”You’re awake,” Ye Qing said, rubbing his eyes, ”How do you feel now?”

Mu Qingrong came back to her senses, her cheeks flushed, and she hastily turned her head away. After a long silence, she spoke in a low voice, ”Thank you for what you did last night.”

”There’s no need to thank me, just don’t do anything that foolish again,” Ye Qing stood up and said, ”When dealing with someone like Zhang Daping, you need to be more cautious. It’s best to keep your distance from him; otherwise, you’ll definitely be the one at a disadvantage.”

Mu Qingrong sighed deeply, truly wishing to have nothing to do with a person like Zhang Daping. But to keep the company afloat, she had no choice but to approach Zhang Daping; she needed Lin Corporation’s business to sustain her company’s growth.

Truth be told, when those companies in Shenchuan City banded together against her Yunchi Company, only Lin Corporation dared to give her business, and only Lingshi Group could solve this predicament.

But how could she have imagined that Zhang Daping was such a shameless and despicable man? An attempt at enforcing hidden rules was bad enough, but he even brought two more men along. If not for Ye Qing’s timely arrival last night, Mu Qingrong’s reputation might have been destroyed.

Thinking back, Mu Qingrong felt a wave of fear. If she had been humiliated by someone like Zhang Daping, she would rather die.

”You rest a bit more. I’ll go get something to eat,” Ye Qing said as he stood up. Just as he approached the door, several middle-aged people suddenly rushed in, pointing at Ye Qing and shouting angrily, ”It’s him! It’s him! He’s the driver responsible for the accident!”
