Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing’s words were very inclusive, encapsulating everyone around him, which immediately caused dissatisfaction.

”What the hell do you mean by that?”

”What does your beef with Yang Wei have to do with us?”

”Don’t think you’re tough just because you can fight. This is a society ruled by law. Do you have any idea who my father is?”

”So what if you can fight? How many of us are here? How many can you take on by yourself?”

The crowd erupted in anger, their rage evident. They were bold because of their superior numbers—if there had been fewer people, surely none would have spoken out. But now, with their numbers, they sought to suppress Ye Qing.

Ye Qing ignored the crowd, slowly walked to the table, picked up a wine bottle, and scanned the crowd with his gaze. Suddenly, he stretched out his hand and hurled the bottle at one of the loudest antagonists. The bottle flew accurately and struck the person’s head, immediately knocking him to the ground.

It was a neat hit; the person struck was none other than Chen Bing, who had just rallied his gang to ram Black Bear’s bike for Yang Wei. He had been the most vociferous, and being the first to suffer was indeed swift retribution!

The room went silent for a moment. Chen Bing’s associates were silent at first but then yelled out loud.

”Dare to hit my elder brother, I’ll fight you with my life!”

”Kill him! Kill him!”

”Come at me, motherfucker!”

The crowd was yelling fiercely, yet not a single one dared to take a step toward Ye Qing—the fate of Yang Wei’s followers had already said it all.

Ye Qing paid no attention to the crowd, walking with large strides towards Yang Wei.

Yang Wei was nearly scared to death by now. Of his followers, only two were left, and they were of no use. If Ye Qing caught up to him, wouldn’t his death be certain?

Truth be told, Yang Wei didn’t want to die. With so much family wealth and an easy life, to die like this would be such a waste!

Seeing Ye Qing approach, Yang Wei had no place to run and knelt on the ground with a thud, his voice trembling, ”Big... Big... Big Brother, I... I know I was wrong. How much money do you want? I...

I’ll give you whatever you want, just don’t kill me...”

Ye Qing looked at him with contempt, ”How much money can buy my brother’s life? How much can reattach that child’s arm? How much can resurrect those lives you’ve taken over the years!”

Yang Wei’s face turned extremely grim, he begged with tears, ”Big Brother, please don’t kill me, I really realize my mistake. Spare me, I... In the future, I won’t dare to... I... I can compensate with money, as much as you want. My father is very rich, he has a lot of money...

If... if you dare to kill me, my father will surely not let you off...”

Ye Qing’s expression turned colder, Yang Wei was still talking about money even now. In his eyes, everything, including human lives, could be bought with money. This is the fundamental reason these spoiled second-generation rich kids held human life so cheaply—they had no idea the value of a life!

”Killing for a life, heaven’s law and earth’s will,” Ye Qing slowly raised his hand and said, ”Money, cannot compensate for a life!”

As Ye Qing was about to make his move, a roar of motorcycle engines suddenly came from outside, followed quickly by over twenty vehicles speeding towards Qianwan Bar.

”It’s Ding Shaoyan, it’s Ding Shaoyan!”

Someone exclaimed, and everyone’s eyes turned towards the noise outside, momentarily forgetting the scene inside the bar.

”Ding Shaoyan?” Li Lianshan frowned; he knew of this person.

In Shenchuan City, there were ranks among the rich and unruly. Yang Wei, for instance, could only be considered a second-rank among them. Most of the people present were third-rank. Ding Shaoyan, however, was not just a first-rank; he was top level among these spoiled brats.

The North Ring street racing scene had been around for a long time, with a change in its characters every four to five years. After all, rich kids grow up; some go abroad, some learn their lesson and slowly return to the right track. Each generation of the street racing gang had its leader—for example, Cheng Shuang’s two cousins were leaders of the previous street racers.

And Ding Shaoyan was the leader of this generation’s street racing gang.

To become a leader, it was not enough to just come from a top-notch family background—personal strength was key too. Ding Shaoyan was one of the best among them. His grandfather was a seasoned general with a bodyguard who had been with him for forty years. Nobody knew how skilled this bodyguard was, but there was a legend about him in Shenchuan City.

Legend has it that fifteen years ago, General Ding’s youngest son offended a powerful local boss in Shenchuan City. That boss captured him, wanting to recover some lost pride.

General Ding didn’t reach out to any officials for help; he only sent the Old Bodyguard. Overnight, the so-called boss’s forces crumbled—thirteen dead, thirty-seven injured. And the general’s son was unharmed. The Old Bodyguard, alone with a dagger, swept through the boss’s territory unscathed!

This story had circulated in Shenchuan City for over a decade, and while some details may be off, the event did indeed happen. This highlighted the extraordinary skills of the Old Bodyguard.

Ding Shaoyan was trained by this Old Bodyguard. From a young age, he learned boxing from him, and among his generation of spoiled brats, not even those who had served in the military could withstand a single punch from him!

Young Master Ding had arrived, and the situation tonight was about to become even more complicated.

Li Lianshan glanced at Ye Qing and then at Young Master Ding, who was striding in from outside, feeling a jolt of shock. Meeting each other, he wondered who would be the stronger of the two.

Ye Qing didn’t directly kill Yang Wei; instead, he stood in front of him, quietly watching Young Master Ding as he walked in from outside.

Young Master Ding was close to one meter eighty in height and was quite handsome, extremely popular among the crowd. His appearance immediately drew screams from many starstruck onlookers.

Young Master Ding quite enjoyed this feeling. He waved at the crowd, and the screaming got even louder. With his head held high, he walked up to Ye Qing, pointed his finger at him, and said, ”Scram!”

Ye Qing didn’t scramble; he just slightly furrowed his brow, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes, and said, ”Are you going to help him?”

”I’ll say it again!” Young Master Ding coldly looked at Ye Qing and said, ”Scram!”

Ignoring him, Ye Qing turned and walked towards Yang Wei.

Young Master Ding was furious; no one had ever dared defy him like this. Seeing Ye Qing’s reaction, he suddenly stepped forward and threw a heavy punch at Ye Qing’s back.

Ye Qing sidestepped, turned, and gave Young Master Ding a cold look, ”I’m only dealing with those guys from earlier, it’s best if unrelated people don’t interfere!”

Young Master Ding replied coldly, ”This is my turf. You want to start a fight here without asking me first?”

Ye Qing countered, ”Why should I ask you!”

”If you didn’t ask, that means you’re not giving me face. If that’s the case, then there’s nothing more to say!” In a fury, Young Master Ding threw off his jacket to one side, pointed at Ye Qing, and said, ”Come on, if you can last three minutes under my hands, I will not set foot in North Ring ever again!”

Ye Qing glanced at him and coldly said, ”Boring!”

Young Master Ding was enraged; this was the first time someone had ignored him like this. As Ye Qing turned to deal with Yang Wei, Young Master Ding let out a roar and kicked out at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing dodged, his gaze growing colder, he said in a stern voice, ”Are you really going to meddle in this?”

”All this damn nonsense, let’s talk after the fight!” Young Master Ding said, his right fist shooting straight towards Ye Qing’s temple.

Ye Qing hadn’t intended to fight with Young Master Ding, as Young Master Ding wasn’t even present earlier, and the matter didn’t concern him. But now that Young Master Ding insisted on getting involved, it seemed he couldn’t avoid a fight after all.

Facing Young Master Ding’s heavy punch, Ye Qing didn’t dodge or flinch, just raised his left hand and caught Young Master Ding’s wrist.

To Young Master Ding’s shock, his wrist was clamped down as if trapped by iron pincers. No matter how hard he struggled, he couldn’t break free from Ye Qing’s grasp. They were too arrogant to understand the fear they should be feeling, instead reacting with aggression. Young Master Ding let out a fierce shout and kicked at Ye Qing’s waist.

Ye Qing responded by lifting his own foot, kicking Young Master Ding’s shin before the latter’s foot could reach him. His kick sent Young Master Ding’s leg flying back, causing such severe pain that even Young Master Ding couldn’t help but cry out.

The intense pain fueled Young Master Ding’s rage. Suddenly, he pulled out a dagger from his waist and stabbed towards Ye Qing’s chest, ”I’ll kill you!”

Ye Qing slowly shook his head. If it were just a matter of fists and kicks, Young Master Ding might only be slightly stronger. But now that he had pulled out a dagger, the nature of the fight had changed. Ye Qing hadn’t wanted to injure him severely, but now it was different.

When Young Master Ding’s dagger was less than an inch from Ye Qing’s chest, Ye Qing had already grabbed his wrist and twisted forcefully. Young Master Ding’s wrist ached, and he immediately bent over to release the force. It was his lifelong training that saved him; if it were someone else, Ye Qing’s move would have been enough to dislocate that wrist.

However, the dagger could no longer be held and fell to the ground.

Ye Qing gave a shove, pushing Young Master Ding more than two meters away, and said in a cold voice, ”That’s enough!”

Young Master Ding cursed, ”Enough my ass!” and charged at Ye Qing again.

He had boasted he would defeat Ye Qing within three minutes, yet not only had he not managed that, but he had also been put at a disadvantage and felt like he had lost face. So disregarding everything, he attacked desperately, striving to regain his dignity.

This was also because Young Master Ding had been too spoiled in his family since he was young, never experiencing any setbacks. Even when practicing martial arts with his grandfather’s old bodyguard, he never really suffered.

These experiences had bred a character so arrogant and proud, convinced he was invincible under the heavens; he simply couldn’t afford to lose and was desperate to salvage his face.

Seeing Young Master Ding’s behavior, Ye Qing frowned. It seemed that he had no choice but to make a serious move!

Young Master Ding rushed at Ye Qing, his consecutive punches missing their target. Angered, he screamed and launched punches and kicks wildly, now completely losing his composure, resembling a street thug more than anything else.

Ye Qing stepped back, avoiding Young Master Ding’s assault. Facing the frenzied attack, he moved his right foot back, bracing against the ground, poised to strike!
