Urban Martial Saint

Black Bear’s laugh sent shivers down Old Wang Ba’s spine, and he suddenly realized that the seemingly simple and honest man before him might be even more terrifying than Ye Qing.

Because Ye Qing still knew how to restrain himself, showing some measure in his actions. But this man might not have any measure at all, because he was a brute!

To whisk away a military dog from the troops and take a dog on a train journey of thousands of miles, one must either be highly intelligent or reckless.

Clearly, Black Bear belonged to the latter.

”Let’s go!” Old Wang Ba waved his hand, and without another word, led Black Bear to The Tycoon.

Inside The Tycoon’s private room, Ye Qing was also tied up and hung from the water pipes in the restroom. Fortunately, he was tall enough that his feet could just touch the floor.

Young Master Wei, with his parted hair, now sat unabashedly in a chair in the restroom. The restroom door was wide open, with a dozen people following Young Master Wei, all arrogantly watching Ye Qing and Huo Pingping.

Half-conscious, Huo Pingping dangled while Ye Qing remained alert. Facing the dozen people, Ye Qing showed not a whit of panic, only coldly looking at the person before him known as Young Master Wei.

”Are you the culprit?” Ye Qing asked in a deep voice.

Young Master Wei was taken aback for a moment, then burst into laughter, ”Damn, you’ve got guts, Bastard. I haven’t even spoken and you’re starting off? Don’t you see the situation here? Believe it or not, I could cripple you right here!”

”Are you the culprit?” Ye Qing asked again, completely ignoring Young Master Wei’s threats.

”Damn!” Young Master Wei stood up abruptly, kicking the chair next to him away and cursed, ”Ask ask ask, what’s the point in asking that now? Instead of asking that, you should be wondering if you can even leave here alive!”

A young man beside him chuckled, ”Master Wei, this guy obviously knows he’s a goner and wants to clear things up before he dies, so he doesn’t end up a confused ghost.”

”Makes sense!” Master Wei laughed wildly and, glancing at Ye Qing, said, ”Since you want to know, I’ll tell you. Yes, I was the one who hit that little trash with my car, what the hell can you do to me! Are you planning to bite me to death, or glare me to death with those eyes? Watch it, I’ve been terrified of dogs since I was a kid.”

Ye Qing ignored Master Wei’s threats and simply nodded slowly, ”For this matter, you will pay a price!”

Master Wei retorted, ”Damn, you really are amusing. Pay a price? How? Are you really going to bite me? Damn, do you know how much my clothes cost? Even a bite mark you couldn’t afford to compensate, yet you talk about paying a price?

What price? Do you want me to hit that little trash with my car again, or hit you this time?

Without responding, Ye Qing looked at Huo Pingping beside him and said, ”This matter is a grudge between you and me. She’s just a girl, it has nothing to do with her. Let her go, and I will stay here!”

Huo Pingping gave Ye Qing a glance, her eyes filled with either gratitude or emotion. Because her mouth was gagged, she couldn’t say a word, only shaking her head incessantly as if determined to stand or fall with Ye Qing.

”Cut out the ’star-crossed lovers’ act—tell you what, neither of you two Bastards are leaving today. Damn it, my good mood tonight was completely ruined by you two Bastards. If I don’t teach you a lesson, how the hell will I be able to face anyone after this!” said Master Wei, and then he waved his hand, ”First, drag that wench out and leave her to you guys to handle!”

”Thanks, Eldest Brother!” A few young men, with lecherous smiles on their faces, came over to untie Huo Pingping’s ropes and dragged the struggling Huo Pingping out.

”Master Wei, please… don’t let things get out of hand…” A middle-aged man approached with a forced smile, ”After all, she’s an employee of our company. If something happens, I...I’m afraid it could lead back to our company...”

This man was Huo Pingping’s boss, who hadn’t lifted a finger to help her all this time, but now he was afraid the situation could implicate him. Ye Qing’s impression of him had plummeted to zero. A boss who couldn’t even take care of his own employees was no boss at all!

Master Wei arrogantly placed a hand on his hip and said, ”Rest easy, I wouldn’t dare to do this if I wasn’t sure of myself. Investigate? Who’s going to investigate? Let them try, and see if I don’t kick them out of Shenchuan City. If I don’t, then I’m not Master Wei!”

The boss smiled awkwardly but dared not say anything more.

Outside, the sound of Huo Pingping’s screams kept coming, indicating that the situation was very dangerous.

Ye Qing frowned deeply and said in a grave voice, ”Master Wei, you’re a man too. Are you really capable of these despicable acts against a woman?”

Master Wei shrugged, grinning, ”I’m not making life difficult for any woman, see? I’m just standing right here.”

Ye Qing: ”Let her go. All the issues, come at me alone!”

”Don’t worry, neither of you needs to leave!” Master Wei waved his hand, ”Of course, I won’t make it hard for a woman, but obviously, we need to have a good time together.”

Saying this, Master Wei casually picked up the pliers from the side and slowly approached Ye Qing.

Hearing Huo Pingping’s screams for help, Ye Qing’s expression gradually turned icy cold.

Ye Qing clenched his teeth and coldly glared at Young Master Wei, uttering each word heavily, ”Today, if I don’t die. Another day, I will take your dog’s life!”

”I think you are destined to die here today!” said Young Master Wei, as he extended the pliers towards Ye Qing’s right thumb, sneering, ”I will start by breaking each of your ten fingers one by one!”

Ye Qing couldn’t dodge and could only watch as the pliers got closer and closer. The spectators around were greatly excited, especially the girls who didn’t find it bloody at all, instead they were shouting loudly to cheer on Young Master Wei. The act of harming someone else’s body seemed to exhilarate them.

Just when the crowd was screaming excitedly, the door of the private room suddenly burst open, and a waiter flew in, crashing heavily into the wall behind. Without stopping, he rebounded back and fell onto a sofa below.

Several young men on the sofa were about to completely strip off Huo Pingping’s clothes when suddenly a person fell on top of them, startling everyone and they simultaneously turned towards the doorway in shock.

The spectators by the restroom also stopped, and Master Wei furiously charged out, bellowing, ”What now!”

When he saw the figure at the door of the private room, Young Master Wei was momentarily stunned.

Standing at the entrance was a tall man, like a tower, blocking all the light in the hallway. From Young Master Wei’s angle, he could hardly make out the man’s face. However, just the sight of that figure was enough to fill him with trepidation!

”You... what the hell are you doing?” Young Master Wei’s voice trembled, although he was used to being aggressive and domineering. But facing such a burly man, he still felt unsettled.

The towering man was Black Bear; he didn’t respond to Young Master Wei, instead he marched right into the private room. Turning his head around, when he saw Ye Qing tied up in the restroom, his expression instantly changed.

Black Bear rushed into the restroom, grabbed the rope binding Ye Qing’s hands, and without bothering to untie it, he just yanked and broke the rope off.

”What are you doing!” Young Master Wei followed him inside, furious, ”Are you fucking looking for death?”

Black Bear, with his back to him, didn’t bother to turn around. In swift motions, he untied all the ropes from Ye Qing’s body and checked him up and down. Seeing that he wasn’t seriously injured, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

”You bastard...” Young Master Wei cursed as he walked forward, but as Black Bear suddenly stepped backwards, his imposing frame frightened Young Master Wei into halting and stepping back himself, fearful that Black Bear might suddenly attack him.

Black Bear didn’t even glance at him but took a step back to stand straight, his spine as rigid as a javelin, and raised his right hand to give Ye Qing a standard military salute.

”Night Wolf Squad Assault Soldier Black Bear, reporting in, number 7954!”

The honest voice carried no falsehood, every word and gesture sincere. The mighty and robust man showed his respect for his captain Ye Qing, transforming into that resolute special assault soldier only in front of his commander!

Ye Qing stood up straight and returned the salute, his eyes slightly moist. Having been away from the troop for so long, what he missed most were his comrades. Now, meeting again in this harsh city which posed more dangers than even the battlefield at the border, could they carve out a piece of sky for themselves in this ruthless urban landscape?

The crowd behind watched, dumbfounded, for quite some time, before Young Master Wei finally snapped out of it and roared, ”Damn it, turns out you’re in cahoots. Fuck, kill him for me. What assault soldier, what Black Bear, this is Shenchuan City; here on my turf, everyone has to bow down to me!”

Young Master Wei was backed by over a dozen men, and emboldened by their numbers, they immediately rushed into the restroom.

Ye Qing glanced at Young Master Wei and uttered sternly, ”Action!”

Without a word, Black Bear turned around and positioned himself in the doorway. Like a pillar of iron, he sealed off the door so tightly that no one could get through.

Intimidated by Black Bear’s formidable appearance, the youths hesitated, but provoked by Young Master Wei’s wrathful bellowing and fearing to disobey him, they pressed on the attack.

The three leading the charge thought they could overpower Black Bear with their numbers. Yet, before they could reach him, Black Bear already charged out towards them.

In just a few steps, Black Bear clashed with the three men. They simultaneously lifted their legs to kick him, but Black Bear didn’t dodge, simply taking the hits which were like mosquito bites to him, unable to shake him in the slightest.

Black Bear, however, showed no mercy. He reached out with both hands, grabbed the necks of the two men on the sides, and hoisted them off the ground. With a mighty yell, he used the two men as weapons and slammed them towards the one in the middle.

The man in the middle couldn’t retreat in time and got sandwiched between the two as Black Bear smashed them together, causing him to collapse into a heap.

The other two also got hit badly, and Black Bear threw them aside without a second glance, striding forward toward Young Master Wei.
