Urban Martial Saint

Mu Qingrong seemed to have drunk too much, and she became more talkative. Holding the wine bottle, she sobbed, ”For this company, I even sold the house my family left me, and I put all the money into it. But all I got in return was the current situation—the company is on the brink of collapse. The money I invested has completely gone to waste, and now I’m even heavily in debt.

Am I really that useless?”

Ye Qing finally understood why Mu Qingrong had to rent a place to live. It seemed that being a boss was indeed very frustrating. In fact, she was even more miserable than those employees.

And now, what’s most tragic is that the enterprise she had worked so hard to build might collapse overnight; how could she not feel devastated?

Ye Qing’s heart ached too, and at this moment, he suddenly felt intense hatred for the owners of those few companies. Setting aside whether their children deserved to die or whether they died by his hand, their personal vendetta was destroying someone’s dream, which was indeed detestable. They were acting out of spite, but their actions were going to cause significant harm to many.

This event was undoubtedly the most damaging for Mu Qingrong. And her workers, who were waiting for their salaries, would have to struggle once again to find jobs in Shenchuan City. And all these were just minor acts of retaliation by those wealthy owners!

Ye Qing was not a saint; he too had emotions and desires and could feel anger and grief. If those company heads were only targeting him, he would not mind since their children had died and they sought revenge. However, involving innocent people was simply wrong!

”I definitely won’t let the company fall!” Ye Qing clenched his fists and gritted his teeth as he spoke these words.

”Yes, I… I definitely won’t let the company fall…” Mu Qingrong muttered as she leaned on the table, already delirious, not knowing whether she was dreaming or talking in her sleep.

Seeing her like this, Ye Qing reluctantly carried her on his back and walked home.

Mu Qingrong’s delicate face rested on Ye Qing’s shoulder. Despite the strong smell of alcohol, there was still a hint of a young girl’s fragrance on her. She was drunk and confused, unaware of what was happening. Ye Qing, smelling the fragrance, felt a mix of confusion and desire. Especially with Mu Qingrong’s body pressing against his back, that soft sensation was tantalizingly enjoyable.

Ye Qing felt a sudden agitation inside him; he dared not entertain further thoughts and pinched himself hard on the leg to keep his focus. Meanwhile, he silently practiced the Breathing Method of the Acupoint Seeking Technique, circulating the Internal Breath within his body as he walked, gradually shifting his attention and feeling somewhat relieved.

After he carried Mu Qingrong home, Tingyun and Mo Xiang were already there, while Chen Keai had gone to the hospital to bring food for Huo Pingping. Of course, she also brought some for Black Bear and Zhao Chengshuang.

Seeing Mu Qingrong in such a state, Tingyun and Mo Xiang rushed over, clumsily helping Mu Qingrong into the bedroom and placing her on the bed.

”What happened to Ms. Mu?” Mo Xiang wondered aloud.

Ye Qing said nothing, while Tingyun whispered from the side, ”It seems to be about the company. I heard that several major companies in town have teamed up to sanction Ms. Mu’s company!”

”How could this happen?” Mo Xiang was surprised. Being a teacher and somewhat indifferent to other matters, she had not yet connected this incident with what happened last night involving Ye Qing.

Tingyun did not respond but only glanced at Ye Qing, whispering, ”Ye, it will be alright. I heard Ms. Mu has been contacting Lin Corporation recently. If she can get involved in the business of Lin Corporation, not only can the alliance of those companies be broken, but Ms. Mu’s company could also advance further!”

Hearing this, Ye Qing’s heart sank again. The business of Lin Corporation now seemed utterly impossible, and Tingyun was clearly unaware of this.

Ye Qing sat quietly in the room for a while, then stood up and said, ”Take care of her for me; I need to get back to the hospital now.”

Tingyun reassured, ”Don’t worry, we can definitely take good care of Ms. Mu!”

Ye Qing nodded and left for the hospital to discuss the matter with Zhao Chengshuang.

There were no buses back to the hospital by then, and though Ye Qing did not take a taxi, he planned to walk back. However, less than half an hour into his walk, he received a call from Tingyun.

”Ye, I don’t know why, but Ms. Mu has gone out!” Tingyun’s voice was anxious; with Mu Qingrong’s current state, it was definitely not safe for her to be out.

”What did she go out for?” Ye Qing asked urgently.

Tingyun responded, ”I don’t know; I couldn’t stop her. She just went straight out.”

Ye Qing was immediately alarmed and quickly took out his phone to call Mu Qingrong. The phone rang, but no one answered; he didn’t know whether Mu Qingrong was intentionally not answering, or if there was some other reason.

Not daring to delay, Ye Qing hastily took a taxi back. Tingyun and Mo Xiang were sitting in the living room, both visibly anxious. Seeing Ye Qing return, they immediately came up to him.

”What exactly happened?” Ye Qing asked urgently.

Tingyun explained, ”I don’t know. Just a short while after you left, Ms. Mu woke up. She changed her clothes, washed her face, and went straight out. We asked her where she was going, but she didn’t say, and we couldn’t stop her in time!”

”It’s nearly ten o’clock now; where did she go?” Ye Qing frowned, worried that Mu Qingrong might be thinking irrationally.

”No matter what, we need to find Ms. Mu first,” Tingyun said anxiously, deeply concerned for her good friend.

”Ye Qing, can’t you track her with your phone? Check where she went!” Mo Xiang urged anxiously.

Realization dawned on Tingyun, who quickly said, ”Yes, yes, Ye, use your phone to locate her.”

”I don’t have those devices right now, I can still search in a small area, but in a larger area it’s hard to pinpoint a location without professional equipment,” Ye Qing fell silent for a while before suddenly saying, ”Right, Zhao Chengshuang definitely has such equipment!”

”Zhao Chengshuang has these devices?” Fang Tingyun was surprised.

”They definitely have them at the police station!” Ye Qing said as he took out his cell phone, dialed Zhao Chengshuang’s number, and hurriedly explained the situation.

”Our station’s locator can be used, I’ll help you contact someone.” Zhao Chengshuang was also very straightforward. In less than five minutes, he called back, ”We’ve already started tracking, but it’s moving towards Zhongxing Road. You take a taxi and follow it, I’ll keep you updated on the specific location along the way.”

Without a second word, Ye Qing went out and hailed a taxi, heading towards Zhongxing Road. Zhao Chengshuang kept reporting the coordinates over the phone, and Ye Qing relayed them to the driver.

”Buddy, you work in intelligence, huh?” the driver, also a big talker, said out of curiosity, ”Actually, my dad used to be a detective, I know a bit about this stuff. What are you doing, catching a spy or drug trafficker?”

”Rescuing someone!” Ye Qing replied briefly.

”Oh, a hostage situation, that’s serious, serious!” The driver stepped on the gas, saying, ”Do you need me to go faster? But if we drive too fast, it’s easy to be noticed. Too slow, and we might lose them!”

This guy seemed pretty professional.

”This speed is fine,” Ye Qing replied casually; he didn’t have time to chat with the driver, as Mu Qingrong’s location hadn’t been fixed, and he needed to keep track of it.

Finally, ten minutes later, Mu Qingrong’s location was determined, at Linyue Grand Hotel. Ye Qing hurried to the location, but in such a large hotel, where should he start looking for Mu Qingrong?

”Do you know who owns the Linyue Grand Hotel?” Ye Qing asked Zhao Chengshuang.

Zhao Chengshuang said, ”The owner is Chen Linyue. You’re at that shop now; the general manager is named Huang Xing. What do you ask for?”

Ye Qing didn’t say a word, walked straight into the hotel, stood at the front desk, pulled out his military ID, and casually flashed it in front of the receptionist, saying, ”I’m from the police station, is Huang Xing here?”

Upon hearing it was someone from the police station, the receptionist visibly panicked, and quickly said, ”Manager Huang just left, do you need him for something? Should I call him back for you?”

”No need,” Ye Qing shook his head, ”I’m here for a case, keep it quiet.”

The receptionist immediately shut her mouth, watching Ye Qing nervously and excitedly. This scene, often seen in movies, was now happening to her in real life; she even guessed whether Ye Qing was carrying several machine guns on him.

”A woman just came in, which room did she go to?” Ye Qing asked.

”Which woman?” the receptionist asked.

Ye Qing described Mu Qingrong’s appearance, and the receptionist immediately nodded, saying, ”I know, I know, she went to room 718.”

”Good,” Ye Qing nodded, getting ready to leave when he suddenly turned back and looked at her, ”Who booked this room?”

The receptionist checked and said, ”Zhang Daping!”

Ye Qing’s heart missed a beat. What was Mu Qingrong doing at a hotel meeting Zhang Daping late at night?

”Keep quiet about it!” Ye Qing reminded her again before turning to leave.

”Do you need a key? Our housekeeping staff has spare keys,” the receptionist whispered from behind, but Ye Qing had already ignored her.

Arriving outside room 718 on the seventh floor, Ye Qing pulled out a card and effortlessly unlocked the door. This locksmithing skill was one of their essential skills, allowing them to unlock doors silently and effortlessly.

Ye Qing slowly opened the door just a crack, and the people inside didn’t notice the movement at all, but Ye Qing had already heard the voices inside.

”Damn, this bitch obviously had a backup plan. Look, Manager Zhang, she actually brought a recording pen!” a man’s voice said.

”Damn, I knew this bitch wouldn’t be easy to deal with. What’s with the recording pen, trying to record what I say as evidence? No wonder this slut was trying to get me to talk right from the start, damn, if I don’t fix you tonight, I’m not Zhang Daping!” this time it was Zhang Daping’s voice.

”This bitch is tough, Manager Zhang, I prepared the drugs, let’s pour it down.”

”Good, pour it on. Damn, tonight the three of us, whatever it takes, we’re going to make sure this bitch has a good time, hahaha...”
