Urban Martial Saint

There were three policemen sitting in the police car, and they probably never imagined that someone would dare to stop their car.

”What’s going on?” asked a policeman sitting in the back in a deep voice.

Huo Pingping was sitting between him and another person, tightly bound with rope and her mouth taped shut, her eyes filled with terror. She wasn’t a fool; from the moment those policemen had killed the guards and had refused to untie her, she knew something was wrong about these policemen. And as they took her towards the suburbs, her suspicion had only grown.

She thought she was surely going to die, never expecting such a sudden turn of events. She screamed with all her might, and though her mouth was sealed, a muffled sound still emanated from her throat.

”Shut up!” The person beside her slapped her, and he wasn’t wearing a uniform; he wasn’t a policeman.

”Go check it out!” said the policeman in the passenger seat as he opened the door and got out, his right hand on his waist gun, ready to draw at any moment. After all, the things they were doing tonight couldn’t be seen by others, and he himself was quite nervous.

This policeman cautiously eyed the vehicle in front of them, guarding against any potential dangers. However, the car in front made no movement, while suddenly, the sound of a motorcycle roaring came from behind.

The policeman hurriedly turned to look, but by then it was too late. Scarred Yang’s car sped forward, directly knocking him into the air and leaving him limp at the roadside.

The three people inside the car were shocked by the scene, and the two policemen instantly drew their guns. However, before they could fire, Scarred Yang’s car made a sudden U-turn and crashed heavily into the police car. Simultaneously, the car in front also started, turned around abruptly, and hit them from the front.

The two cars sandwiched the police car, repeatedly slamming into it back and forth.

The three men inside felt like a boat lost at sea; though they held guns, they couldn’t even aim. Their car was shaken violently, and they could barely hold onto their weapons, let alone aim them. Meanwhile, one of Boss Lin’s subordinates in the car was so frightened that he curled up and covered his head, the front and rear car windows shattering and covering him with glass shards.

Seeing the relentless assault from the cars in front and behind, the policeman in the back yelled, ”What are you doing? What are you doing? I’m a policeman, I’m a policeman, are you trying to revolt?”

His shouting seemed to work, and both cars stopped. Scarred Yang poked his head out of a crack in the door of the rear car and asked, ”You’re a policeman? Which sub-bureau are you from?”

”North City Sub-bureau, Lu Dafeng!” the policeman shouted back.

”My god, it’s Old Lu! I thought who it was!” Scarred Yang pushed the door open and shouted, ”It’s me, Scarred Yang!”

Seeing Scarred Yang, Lu Dafeng sighed in relief and said, ”What’s going on? Why is it you? What exactly is happening? Why did you hit my colleagues?”

”Ah, don’t even mention it; how would I know they were your colleagues!” Scarred Yang walked over and said, ”You know about the incident the night before last, it also involved my boss. My boss had sent me to take care of this woman, but right as I got there, I saw those guards had been killed, and then you guys took this woman away.

It was too dark; I couldn’t see clearly who it was, thought maybe they were this woman’s friends. So I chased all the way here to take her back. If I’d known it was you guys, I wouldn’t have bothered!”

After hearing this, Lu Dafeng felt relieved. He had thought Scarred Yang was here to rescue Huo Pingping, but from what Scarred Yang said, it was just an internal matter.

”You misunderstood, what do you mean rescue her? We are also helping someone else,” said Lu Dafeng. ”Just now, Old Lin contacted us to dispose of this woman, get rid of the body.”

Scarred Yang’s expression changed slightly, he hadn’t expected Old Lin to do such a thing. It was regrettable; Li Lianshan had even contacted him to have him call Zhao Chengshuang, but it seemed he likely hadn’t made that call. But why would he do that? Could he have some conflict with Huo Pingping?

Scarred Yang misconstrued the situation here. Old Lin’s actions were mainly targeting Ye Qing, not Huo Pingping.

Luckily, it was dark, and Scarred Yang’s change in expression didn’t catch Lu Dafeng’s attention. He looked around, saw no other cars, and whispered, ”Alright, we’ll take this woman from here. Hey, Scarred, I’m not blaming you, but I don’t know what condition my colleague is in now because of you!”

Scarred Yang hurriedly said, ”I didn’t know; really sorry, really sorry. Xiao Li, take some people and get that officer into the car. Old Lu, we’ll take care of this woman, and we’ll take your colleague to the hospital first; what do you think?”

Lu Dafeng looked magnanimous and said, ”Sure, no fault for the unaware. But, you must take good care of my colleague, don’t let anything happen to him!”

”No problem, no problem...” Scarred Yang chuckled, as six or seven men stepped out from both cars. The men from the front car carried the policeman over to their side, while a few from the rear car just stood beside this police car. In that brief moment, seven or eight people had surrounded the police car.

One of them gestured to Scarred Yang, who saw clearly that in his other hand he held a gun, the same one from the policeman who had been hit.

Scarred Yang couldn’t help feeling elated; the situation was mostly under control now.

”Old Lu, can we step aside and talk?” Scarred Yang walked over and put his arm around Lu Dafeng’s shoulder. Lu Dafeng, unsuspecting, allowed himself to be pulled aside by Scarred Yang. After taking a few steps, Scarred Yang suddenly gripped his hand tightly and yelled, ”Act now!”

Scarred Yang’s few lackeys were already raring to go, and as soon as Scarred Yang finished speaking, the one with the gun immediately raised it and aimed at the police officer driving, barking, ”Don’t move!”

The police officer, gun in hand, had not yet grasped what was happening when the situation had already spiraled out of control.

On the other side, Lu Dafeng, realizing things were amiss, immediately broke free from Scarred Yang’s grip and aimed his gun at Scarred Yang.

Scarred Yang was quick to react, seeing that there was no time to wrestle for the gun, he hurriedly ducked and rolled on the ground. At that moment, Lu Dafeng also fired his weapon.

Scarred Yang groaned, apparently hit by the bullet. His few lackeys also charged forth at once, overpowering Lu Dafeng on the ground and wresting the gun from his hands.

”Yang! Yang!” One lackey ran over to help Scarred Yang up, his lower abdomen soaked in blood, the bullet having passed through the right side of his abdomen.

”Damn, it hurts!” Scarred Yang grimaced, already unable to stand, and as he sat on the ground, he commanded, ”Use their handcuffs, handcuff them, and rescue that woman!”

The lackeys rushed up, took the handcuffs from the three police officers, and handcuffed them to the car. Meanwhile, Boss Lin’s lackey in the car was beaten up by these lackeys into incapacitation.

”Scarred Yang, you’re asking for death!” Lu Dafeng yelled furiously, saying, ”You dare assault a cop, you dare take a cop’s gun, you’re dead meat!”

”Lu Dafeng, what you did tonight is enough to get you killed hundreds of times over. I just want to see which of us dies first!” Scarred Yang said angrily, standing up with a lackey’s aid, ”Bastard, you’re unfit to be a cop!”

Lu Dafeng paused, looked at Scarred Yang a few times, and said, ”I may be unfit to be a cop, but do you really have the right to say that? What are you? Just a lowly hoodlum, do you really think you’re a good guy? I may not be fit to be a cop, but does that mean you fit into the underworld?”

It was indeed tonight, after seeing Ye Qing rescuing someone outside Qianwan Bar, that Scarred Yang had such a realization. He had never thought about military principles or police duties before, but tonight he was truly shaken by Ye Qing, who had profoundly shown him what principles meant!

Compared to Ye Qing, Scarred Yang suddenly felt that Lu Dafeng really was a piece of garbage!

”I’m just a hoodlum, but at least I’m not as hypocritical as you!” Scarred Yang said angrily.

Lu Dafeng laughed, ”What a joke, being a hoodlum and now starting to rescue people? Hypocritical? Aren’t your actions hypocritical? Trying to act virtuous after being a whore, do you really think saving a person or two can change the fact that you’re just a hoodlum?”

Scarred Yang remained silent, and with a lackey’s help, walked up to Lu Dafeng and landed a heavy kick on Lu Dafeng’s face.

Lu Dafeng’s mouth and nose bled profusely, while Scarred Yang almost collapsed in pain. It could be said that the pain Scarred Yang felt from that kick was even more than Lu Dafeng’s, but he kicked willingly nevertheless!

Huo Pingping watched everything, dumbfounded. The night’s events were too complicated, making it hard for her to grasp what had happened. She had seen Scarred Yang just the night before last, knowing he wasn’t her friend, but rather an enemy. Who would have thought, just a day later, Scarred Yang would come to her rescue? What on earth had happened?

Scarred Yang’s lackeys had already untied Huo Pingping, and used those ropes to securely tie up Boss Lin’s lackey.

A lackey nearby, seeing Scarred Yang like this, quickly joked, ”Big brother, let me beat him up for you!”

Scarred Yang waved his hand, saying, ”No need, damn it, hurry up and get me back to the city, do you want me to bleed to death?”

”Yes, yes, yes, yes.” Everyone hurried into their vehicles, while Huo Pingping alone hesitated before following suit, staring blankly at the two cars.

A man covered in tattoos stuck his head out of a car window and said, ”Miss, don’t be afraid, we are the good guys here!”

Huo Pingping rolled her eyes, ever seen a good guy covered in tattoos?

”Miss Huo, we are all friends of Ye Qing!” Scarred Yang, enduring the pain, said, ”Don’t be scared, hurry up and get in the car, let’s head back quickly.”

Hearing Ye Qing’s name, Huo Pingping finally felt a bit more at ease. After hesitating for a moment, she got into Scarred Yang’s car, and the two vehicles sped toward the city.
