My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1729: Chapter 1523: Moved

Even if no one watches and in the end only I am moved, I believe that at the last minute I will still be able to find you in this vast crowd, and only you can understand my gaze!

”Dad, actually today when I tell you these words, I have no intention of blaming you. I just hope you can think clearly whether what you’re doing is right or wrong, whether you truly see my mom as your wife?

Think about it yourself, how much suffering and pain she has endured over the years, yet she never said a word. Because she knows she has to rely on her own efforts step by step, until finally she lives a life different from others. I don’t understand what kind of reason makes you so ruthless as to choose to hurt her.

She is your wife, she’s not a god nor a Saint. She can’t continue smiling brightly when her husband neglects her, even I wouldn’t be able to do that. Why can’t you consider her predicament from my mom’s perspective? Why can’t you sympathize with how exhausting and painful her life is?

If one day you suddenly find my mom has changed, you shouldn’t blame others, nor should you shift all the responsibility onto others. You should reflect on how excessive your actions have been, consider how you’ve treated your family. How could he remain indifferent to that kind of evidence? He can’t, he also wishes to live happily, but what kind of outcome have we given him? Making him live so painfully, his inner self deeply hurt, he can’t be happy anymore.

I hope every word I say to you today you will realize, just because you’re my father, that’s why I can speak so boldly and candidly to you. If it were someone else, I wouldn’t speak such heartfelt words. Sometimes you should also think from everyone’s perspective about the consequences your actions have brought to the family. Maybe you feel indifferent now, but because of grandpa and grandma, you’ve forced your wife to the point of depression leading to suicide in the hospital. Do you think that’s a responsibility a municipal government should shoulder?”

”Child, I know you’re speaking for the good of your family, and I know you’re considering everyone at home by saying these words. But have you thought about, sometimes the unintended remarks you make might stir up significant opinions within the family? Perhaps what you say looks normal to me, but it’s not necessarily normal to others. Everyone in the family handles things differently, everyone has their own path to walk.

No one’s going to simply wait for others to pave their road for them. Do you think the road others pave is as stable as the one you walk yourself? No one can make you walk the life path you want, step by step smoothly all the way. You always feel everything you do is correct, but maybe what you do appears completely wrong in others’ eyes. When you realize that your actions are never understood, you’ll finally know how painful it is not to be understood.

You are my son; no matter when or where, you should understand my intentions as a father. No matter what, I would never harm my wife!

No matter how I explain, you simply won’t believe that this incident was truly accidental. I never wanted such events to happen around us, nor do I want my family to suffer such a blow. But some things I couldn’t give you conclusions ahead of time. Everything I do is hoping everyone can have happy, joyful days.

But why do I find that what I want to give you all, I can never actually provide, instead repeatedly hurting you? Do you think this outcome is what I wanted? If it weren’t absolutely necessary, why would I have gone this far? You know how much I wish my parents could return to my side, just like you wish for grandpa and grandma to come back to you. That’s years of longing, years of expectant kinship. Now that they’ve finally returned, I don’t wish for any more changes to occur. I hope they can stay here safely and steadily. Is it wrong for me to do this? Isn’t it done so we can all get the outcomes we desire? Why do you, after making mistakes, always blame me, never considering whether you had such thoughts once yourself?

You are my son; as an elder, I shouldn’t nitpick with you on many matters. I wish those things would never happen. But there are truly unforeseen circumstances. What everyone desires is a simple life, just to live happily and peacefully, isn’t it more important than anything? Yet you never considered what consequences your actions would bring to yourself, just like you say I am of the same fate.

Did you know, I also quite wish for you to live happily and joyously, but living like this each day, what kind of outcomes have you brought upon yourself? Isn’t life exhausting? The hurt and pain you’ve given me, I could never forget, yet I’ve chosen never to mention it, realizing many things are better taken with a light and happy heart.

My greatest wish is for you to be happy and joyful, as long as my son is happy and joyful, as long as my family is happy and peaceful, what does it matter if I endure a bit more suffering and fatigue?

But in the end, I found myself willing to make any sacrifice, to try and achieve every goal set out for you. Yet, all you see is me being the moth drawn to the flame, never provided me with any favorable outcome. You always think you’ve gained the best of everything, but neglected to ponder whether living like this is tiring or joyful. Over and over, you shift all the blame onto me as your father. If you care so much about your mom, why don’t you stay by her side every moment? I went out today just to research treatment options for him, yet such an event happened, no one wanted to see it. But you placed all responsibility on me, do you know how heartbreaking that moment was for me?

Too commonplace grievances. Between us, expressions of love and pain are far too general. When stories are selected, we are left without any qualifications to remain ignorant.
