This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Du Heng cursed inwardly, trying hard to restrain his emotions and quickly began thinking of a solution strategy.

At this moment, any emotional outburst was utterly useless.

But seeing the patient with tubes inserted, Du Heng was once again surrounded by a sense of powerlessness.

”Director Niu, I remember this patient is from the capital, right? Even if he couldn’t buy medicine near his home, he could still come to our hospital.

It shouldn’t have delayed things to this extent, should it?”

Du Heng pondered the problem-solving method while looking at Director Niu with confusion.

Director Niu was almost exploding with anger.

He wasn’t mad at Du Heng for ranting at him, he was angry with this patient and his family. ”Wasn’t it just said, the patient’s brother-in-law still had to take care of his sister, and the patient had no relatives in the area; if he went home, there would be no one to care for him, so they sent him back to his hometown.

Thinking there was his mother and his wife who could help take care of the patient and his son.

So, time was delayed by the back and forth journey.”

Ignorance!

Stupidity!

Du Heng was grinding his teeth in anger now.

He hadn’t had the chance to express this fury when the monitor behind him suddenly sounded crazily.

”Ventricular fibrillation!”

A doctor’s urgent call next to him made Du Heng’s heart skip three or four beats in a second, the suddenly surging blood made his face flush red.

Du Heng glanced back and quickly stepped aside, giving way to the emergency department staff.

At this moment, he didn’t think his skills with these emergency devices could surpass these colleagues who dealt with death daily here.

Specialized skills have their domains.

At this time, the opportunity should be given to someone more confident.

However, the development of things seemed to be racing towards an irreversible direction.

The medical care team involved in the rescue did not pause for even a second, but the noise from the monitor did not lessen at all.

Du Heng took a deep look, then turned and ran out.

”Director Du, where are you going?” Director Niu hurriedly asked.

”To get something.” Du Heng replied without turning his head.

The situation in the emergency room was not optimistic, and it seemed like traditional methods were about to become useless. Du Heng was thinking of using his own method to participate in the rescue once.

However, the emergency room at Hao Pengyou Hospital, it primarily adhered to modern medicine for emergencies, they had no precedents for traditional Chinese medicine resuscitation, so there were no tools for traditional Chinese medicine resuscitation.

And this tool was simple, just life-saving medicine and needle utensils.

These two things, Du Heng kept in three places regularly, one at home, two in the office, and the third inside his car.

And now, going to the parking area was clearly closer than going to the department.

When Du Heng worked at the Municipal Maternal and Child Health Hospital, he had asked this of his colleagues, no running in the hospital, especially when wearing a white gown, unless it was extremely urgent, not only couldn’t they run, they weren’t allowed to walk briskly either.

The same rule applied at Hao Pengyou Hospital.

But today, Du Heng couldn’t care less, he began running directly in the hospital corridor.

He could no longer pay attention to these unwritten rules; first, he had to get the things to save a life; secondly, he wasn’t wearing a white gown now, he could run if he wanted.

Du Heng went quickly and came back quickly too.

He charged into the emergency room, looked at the medical staff still making futile rescue efforts, and glanced at the heart rate that was about to become a flat line, he took a deep breath and stepped forward, ”Let me try.”

The doctors in the rescue were also almost exhausted, knowing that what was being done now was doing all that was humanly possible and leaving the rest up to fate.

Now hearing Du Heng say he wanted to try, he exchanged a glance with Director Niu standing behind, then slowly stepped aside.

Du Heng took another deep breath, first having someone feed the medicine to the patient, while he took out needle utensils that he didn’t have time to disinfect and began insertion.

The position chosen wasn’t any hidden extraordinary acupoint, he boldly and openly selected the most common acupoints, Baihui, Ren Ying, ST-36, proceeding with needle insertion successively in three spatial regions: upper, middle, lower.

Although the acupoints selected were common, this time, Du Heng chose to use the strong stimulation method, even for Baihui on the head, he still used the strong stimulation method.

The patient now had kidney failure, severely affecting the heart’s function, subsequently affecting the stability of the body’s qi.

As it’s impossible to change the kidney situation in a short time, Du Heng took a risk to first gather the qi inside the patient, preventing them from dissipating like this, but instead making them circulate.

As long as the qi remained unscattered, this breath could be sustained.

As long as this breath could be sustained, he had the chance to reactivate the patient’s kidneys.

Everyone watched as Du Heng inserted such a long needle into the patient’s scalp, then crazily twisted it, their hearts felt like they’d been clenched.

Especially the emergency doctor, he felt his heart was now in his throat.

He was already a bit regretful, letting Du Heng participate in the rescue.

If they followed normal rescue procedures, even if they couldn’t save the patient, it was the standard procedure, and the final result had nothing to do with them.

But just now, he suddenly became impulsive, got a warm head, and how did he agree to let Du Heng proceed?

Look at that needle, it was so conspicuously stabbed into the head, with that length, it must have pierced into the brain pulp, right?
