This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Suddenly, the girl quickly covered her mouth, ”Pah pah pah, we can’t say that. If Yaya heard it, she’d definitely argue with us.

She’s just focused on looks. When she sees someone androgynous, she can’t move on. Calling them brainless would be insulting her too.”

With that, the girl began to giggle.

She laughed until the guy across the table was almost embarrassed to death, then she finally stopped, ”Tingting, what about it? These trash tricked us, should we call the police?”

Du Xuejing shook her head, ”Nevermind, even though there are some data in that document, Mrs. Zhou had already warned me, and I took precautions.”

”Who’s Mrs. Zhou?”

”My little uncle’s lawyer, she’s famous in Jinzhou.”

Then the two girls glanced at the guy across from them, flashed a smile, and left quickly.

After the two walked away, Du Xuejing’s friend secretly asked her, ”Tingting, are you really going to give up on that document?”

At this moment, Du Xuejing wasn’t as happy as before, she sighed and said, ”What would be the point in trying to get it back now? It’s been so many days. I figure those trash not only read the document, they’ve probably already done experiments based on my formula.”

”Huh?” Her friend asked worriedly, ”They wouldn’t, right? That’s theft, we could sue them.”

Du Xuejing let out a long sigh, ”Ugh, what would we sue them for? We don’t have any evidence right now.”

”But... but if they manage to create something using your data, wouldn’t your losses be too great?”

”Don’t worry, I just told you, Mrs. Zhou had long warned me. All the experimental data and the entire process are fine.

But the prescription details and proportions, I never said I wrote it all down.”

Du Xuejing suddenly laughed, ”And besides, this recipe was given to me by my little uncle. He had already figured out all the proportions and even had Mrs. Zhou apply for a patent early on.

He gave it to me just to let me practice, and this was also an opportunity to test it out.

As it turned out, just like Mrs. Zhou said, these people saw us as students and wanted to cheat us.”

Du Xuejing’s friend was finally relieved, patting her chest, ”That’s good, that’s good.” Then she seemed to remember something, curiously asking Du Xuejing, ”If those people used your formula in the document, what would they make? Would it be effective?”

”Heh, it will be effective, but not for beauty and skincare.” Du Xuejing, like a fox that succeeded in its trick, chuckled.

Her friend grew even more curious and hurriedly asked, ”Hurry up and tell me, what effect exactly?”

”If they dare to use what they make, the pores on the face will enlarge. Plus, if they consume spicy or pungent things, have poor endocrine, and lots of dampness, then there’ll be pimples all over their face.”

”Really?”

”My little uncle taught me this method, do you think it could be fake?”

Hearing that it was taught by Du Heng, her friend believed Du Xuejing, ”If it’s Mr. Du’s method, then there’s no problem.

But, it won’t ruin their faces, will it?

If something happens, will we be held responsible?”

Du Xuejing chuckled and said, ”I asked my little uncle about this, and he said it’s fine. Just wash the face with clear water a couple of times, and the effect will fade in a few days.”

With their doubts cleared, the two bounced back to school, feeling the matter was resolved.

But just that afternoon, after finishing a class, Du Xuejing was called over by her class advisor.

The advisor was a young man who graduated from college two years ago, quite sunny and handsome.

Yet Du Xuejing wasn’t pleased to be called over, and she didn’t show much respect for this advisor.

Not for any other reason, but because this connection at the cosmetics company had been arranged by the advisor.

”Do you need something, Mr. Song?” Du Xuejing asked lazily.

The advisor, addressed as Mr. Song, seemed unbothered by her discontent and replied with a gentle smile, ”I need to discuss something with you, come with me.”

After speaking, he turned around and walked away without waiting for Du Xuejing to agree or not.

Du Xuejing was quite unhappy, reluctant to go.

But knowing that this advisor would be overseeing her for more than six years, she had no choice but to go along unwillingly.

The advisor didn’t take her to his office but to a teahouse outside the school.

Immediately, seeing the place, Du Xuejing stopped in her tracks, ”Mr. Song, what’s this about? If there’s something, just say it.”

Mr. Song turned and smiled, ”My bad, I didn’t explain clearly. Your proposal passed at XX Cosmetic Company a few days ago, and they want to discuss further collaboration with you.”

Du Xuejing turned to leave, ”There’s nothing to discuss, I don’t want to collaborate anymore.”

Mr. Song quickly said, ”Don’t be upset, Du. I heard about your situation. They did that just to press down the price.

How about this, give me a chance, listen to what price they’re offering. If the terms are good, let’s consider them. If not, we can just leave after.”

Du Xuejing was still hesitant, and seeing such a secluded place as the teahouse only made her more unsure.

Mr. Song saw the hesitation in Du Xuejing’s eyes, thought for a moment and said, ”If you’re worried about safety, let’s choose a more open place.”

While speaking, he looked around, and quickly, Mr. Song found a good spot—a coffee shop.

No matter the reason, if it’s around a university campus entrance, there are always one or two coffee shops.

”There’s a coffee shop over there; let’s go there, what do you think?” After finding a place that matched his expectations, Mr. Song promptly suggested to Du Xuejing.

Following the direction Mr. Song pointed, Du Xuejing glanced over and immediately noticed the coffee shop. She reluctantly nodded in agreement upon seeing the large floor-to-ceiling windows of the shop.

Afterward, they didn’t go to the tea house, but turned directly to the coffee shop, and Mr. Song made a phone call.

While waiting for someone, Mr. Song talked about various advantages of university student entrepreneurship and how that cosmetic company was exceptional, emphasizing its formidable status in the industry.

But Du Xuejing was not interested.

If it weren’t for the man before her being her advisor, she would surely have left already.

So annoying!

After a few boring minutes, a graceful figure appeared beside Du Xuejing’s table.

High heels, black sheer long legs, and a hip wrap skirt...

Looked very familiar.

Upon closer inspection, it was Director Xue from that day.

However, unfortunately, today Director Xue’s face was full of acne, and the base of those acnes was entirely red. That face no longer had the smoothness and tenderness it did when they first met.

After sitting down, Director Xue got straight to the point, ”Du, after you left that day, our company held another meeting and felt that this pure Chinese medicine cosmetic cream has strong market potential, so we’d like to discuss it more deeply with you.”

Du Xuejing casually fiddled with the coffee cup in hand and spoke indifferently, ”Let’s talk.”

”Okay.” Director Xue wasted no time, directly asking, ”Du, the materials you provided that day, is all the content truthful?”

”Which part are you talking about?” Du Xuejing looked at Director Xue’s face and chuckled lightly.

Director Xue paused for a moment, then seemed a bit flustered. Her intuition told her she was being played by this young girl.

Yet, recalling something, she held back and asked calmly, ”All of it, including the prescription ratio and experimental results.”

Du Xuejing chuckled lightly, ”Oh, the prescription ratio is incorrect... Rather, it’s incomplete; as for the experimental results, they are definitely correct.

The usage time is included, along with comparison photos from before and after use, all taken by my classmates and roommates. If you don’t believe it, you can ask them.

Of course, I used it myself too. Look at my face; this is the effect.”

As Du Xuejing finished speaking, Director Xue’s gaze once again landed on Du Xuejing’s smooth and tender face.

In an instant, Director Xue’s eyes turned red.

Since she entered, she had been restraining herself, but seeing Du Xuejing’s mocking expression, she couldn’t hold back her irritation.

The eagle soaring in the sky was pecked by a yet-to-fly sparrow; it’s intolerable.

But no matter how intolerable, thinking of the comparison pictures in the materials, she could only hold it in.

After taking a deep breath, Director Xue asked again, ”Are you sure?”

”Of course.”

”Great, I have another question.”

”Go ahead.”

”I checked the name from your materials and found a prescription identical to yours on the Patent Network, what’s the matter with that?”

Du Xuejing grinned, ”I know, I’m using that prescription.”

Director Xue’s expression changed again, ”Du, do you know what you’re saying and what you’re doing? This is illegal.”

Du Xuejing sneered, ”It’s my own stuff; I’ll use it how I want. What law am I breaking?”

”Your stuff?”

”Any problems?”

One ask one answer, another counter-question, Director Xue was directly bewildered.

After a good while, she asked, ”Alright, let’s not talk about that. Next question, with the data you provided, we conducted an experiment. Why did some people not see any results, but some experienced adverse reactions?”

Du Xuejing looked at Director Xue for a while, ”Are you talking about yourself experiencing adverse reactions?”

”That doesn’t matter; just tell me why.” Director Xue appeared quite firm.

But Du Xuejing shook her head, ”Before I answer your question, I want to ask Director Xue, didn’t you say you destroyed my materials? How did you manage to conduct experiments using my prescription?”

That question again confounded Director Xue, taking her a while before saying, ”I have a good memory.”
