This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Du Heng looked at Doctor Sun with a half-smile.

Considering the previous times when the hospital did those distressing things under the policy of using medicine to support the hospital, and recently certain people promoting private healthcare over public healthcare in the background of rumors, what Doctor Sun said had the deceptive and misleading qualities of a machine gun.

Not to mention people like Huang Jufu who know nothing and come from the village would be deceived, even old patients who have been around the hospital for years could easily be cheated.

Seeing Doctor Sun’s flushed face at this moment, Du Heng felt a bit sad, but he didn’t plan to let this industry scum go.

”The previous matters were between you and your hospital leaders; now let’s talk about the things between you and the patients.”

Du Heng placed the child in her mother’s arms and turned his head to look at Doctor Sun, saying, ”First, you’ve been repeatedly talking about the cochlear implant surgery, recommending this operation, but after doing this surgery, can the child definitely hear?

Doctor Sun, please answer me truthfully on this question.”

This question made Doctor Sun panic, while Huang Jufu and his wife seemed to have a sudden realization, staring directly at Doctor Sun.

Doctor Sun swallowed hard, glanced at Huang Jufu standing at the door, and didn’t dare to run straight outside.

But under the pressure of the three people’s gaze, he couldn’t stay silent, so he stammered, ”All surgeries carry risks...”

Du Heng interrupted him directly, waving his hand, ”Listen carefully, I asked whether, after this surgery, the child will definitely regain hearing?”

Doctor Sun pursed his lips involuntarily, hesitated for a moment, then said, ”The current cause of the child’s disease is unclear, but surgery has a great possibility of preserving the child’s hearing.”

As he spoke, his eyes suddenly brightened, and he continued more firmly, ”But if this surgery is not done, then the child’s hearing, given the current situation, cannot be preserved.”

Du Heng scoffed, ”Possibly? So, you’re saying you can’t guarantee what you’re talking about; you’re just gambling as the attending doctor.

Isn’t it too easy for you to casually make statements, asking the patient’s family to shell out over a hundred thousand yuan? You have quite the audacity.

And have you thought about it? You don’t even know the cause of the child’s illness. If your surgery causes the child to permanently lose the chance for treatment in the future, can you take responsibility for that?”

Du Heng’s expression turned cold, even a bit disgusted, as he said, ”Your actions are illegal; do you know that?”

”I... I...”

”Stop with the I, I, I.” Du Heng cut off Doctor Sun’s words in annoyance, ”Also, since last year, nationwide medical insurance has opened the remote settlement.

No matter which region’s patient, they can go to any hospital nationwide and settle medical insurance in that hospital without needing local insurance, nor does the patient need to go back to their location for reimbursement.”

As Du Heng spoke, he squinted his eyes slightly, ”Tsk tsk, listening to your skillful words just now, I’m sure you aren’t doing this for the first time here with Xiao Huang.”

This completely panicked Doctor Sun.

The previous things, Du Heng just talked about it, he had no solid evidence and couldn’t do anything to him.

But this matter is different, as finding a few former patients would make things clear as day.

More importantly, he had profited from the remote medical insurance issue, claiming falsely to have connections to make some ’small money.’

So Du Heng’s remarks here directly struck a nerve, making him unable to not panic.

Du Heng sighed and said, ”The Otolaryngology Department of Capital Hospital, your Director’s surname is Huang, right? Last year, because of the matter with our Doctor Cao, we even chatted together, so we are acquainted.

Originally, I thought Director Huang seemed like a decent person, but unexpectedly, the department he manages is now so full of chaos, it seems necessary for me to talk to Director Huang.

If he is involved, then such a person isn’t worth engaging with.”

After speaking, Du Heng ignored Doctor Sun and turned directly to express dissatisfaction to Huang Jufu, ”You really are something, have you taken me for a fellow townsman or not? If I hadn’t come today, would you have been deceived?”

Listening to Du Heng’s displeased words, Huang Jufu could only lower his head, remaining silent.

Looking at Huang Jufu’s timid appearance, Du Heng realized this was a case of being confused by one’s situation while others see clearly. Saying more didn’t make sense.

”Ah, if you had really agreed today, you would have killed your daughter.” Du Heng sighed faintly, ”Your daughter’s problem isn’t big; her current blindness and deafness are just an illusion.”

What, an illusion? Problem not big?

Huang Jufu looked at Du Heng with disbelief, trembling and unable to speak clearly, ”Du... Brother, do you mean you can cure my daughter’s illness?”

Du Heng gently nodded, ”Of course, it’s not such a big issue.”

Saying this, he glared at Huang Jufu, still annoyed about Huang Jufu not coming to find him for so long, ”Let’s skip the rest, I didn’t bring my tools today. Tomorrow morning, bring your child to my department to wait for me.

After my outpatient service, I will treat the child.”

Overwhelmed with excitement, Huang Jufu rubbed his hands and spun around, not knowing whether the expression on his face was crying or laughing.
