This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

He immediately asked Du Heng seriously, ”Deputy Director Du, what do you think about this patient, do you have any solutions now?”

Du Heng hesitated as well.

To be honest, up to now, he has been extremely confident in his diagnosis and syndrome differentiation skills. The patient has had nephritis for too long, accumulating fluids into toxins, allowing the toxins to deeply penetrate the blood, turbidity to spread through the triple burner, resulting in deficient stomach qi and a severe block and repulsion disease with kidney yang on the verge of collapse.

There is absolutely no problem with this diagnosis, he is confident about it.

However, he is now very worried about whether the medication will work and whether the patient’s body can withstand it.

The current situation of the patient is that the toxin has invaded the whole body, belonging to excess evil and deficient correct, to make him recover, it is necessary to eliminate the toxin, once the evil is gone, the correct will be well.

But the problem is, how to eliminate the evil?

Of course, by the method of purging.

But given the patient’s seriousness, if purging is used, it might not eliminate the toxin but instead expel what little correct qi he has left.

In such a case, instead of being saved, it might directly lead to killing him.

But now, purging is the only treatment method Du Heng can think of, what to do?

However, in this regard, Du Heng still has some experience. After a brief moment of thinking, he had the answer to this problem in his heart.

But before writing, Du Heng still asked a question, ”Director Niu, is it easy to find a kidney source?”

Director Niu was silent for a while, then still looked up at Du Heng, and said somewhat repressively, ”Looking from donors, you probably know the final result, Director Du. The result won’t be too good.

Even if there is, I’m afraid the patient himself won’t hold on, waiting couldn’t last until the donor agrees to donate.”

Du Heng also furrowed his brows and asked puzzled, ”Then what you just said, it seemed like a kidney transplant is certain, what does this mean?”

Director Niu let out a heavy sigh, ”When we received the patient to the Nephrology Department at noon, we confirmed the patient’s information with his son.

Through the chat, we found out that the patient’s son knew about the patient’s condition, and he had long intended to donate a kidney to his dad.

So...”

Director Niu did not continue to speak, just stayed silent and let out another sigh.

This surprised Du Heng a bit, his heart suddenly pounding a few times, ”How old is the child? Does he know the risks of losing a kidney?”

”The child is seventeen this year, he secretly did the matching test before, and it is suitable.” Director Niu said slowly, ”Before the child talked to his dad about this matter, but his dad refused.

During the chat at noon, the child said he is now disabled and does not need to do heavy physical work, and he is willing to donate to save his dad’s life.

He said he wants both his mom and dad to be alive now.”

Is it just that he cannot do heavy physical work?

Du Heng’s heart felt mixed emotions, he didn’t know how to evaluate this family anymore.

Forget it, leave it to fate.

Du Heng reached out directly to Director Niu for paper and pen and started writing the prescription.

Firstly, without a doubt, it must be aconite, a good medicine to rescue yang and stem desertion, must be used. After so many uses, Du Heng was no longer as apprehensive about using aconite as before.

Especially when the dosage is large, he no longer needed to use large amounts of other medicines to neutralize the properties of aconite.

The second one would be the kidney four agents.

The most necessary action for the patient now is to warm yang and benefit the kidneys, and the kidney four agents are the most suitable.

Then... Du Heng thought for a moment and added a pinch of red ginseng to tonify qi, promote qi flow.

Finally, Du Heng wrote a lot, all were laxatives to purge accumulation, cool blood and detoxify, like rhubarbs, mirabilite, and so on.

Although the dosage of each one was not much, combined they were a lot.

Including adjuvants, he prescribed a total of thirteen types.

After he finished writing, Du Heng handed the prescription to Director Niu, awaiting Director Niu’s next decision.

However, Director Niu merely glanced at it and passed the prescription to those around him.

First, he has worked with Du Heng before, he is confident.

Secondly, he can’t understand traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions, looking at them is pointless.

Once again, Du Heng’s reputation in the hospital now was such that even as a senior Department Director like Director Niu could only look up to it, he didn’t believe Du Heng would ruin his own reputation.

Of course, most importantly, he couldn’t understand it.

But what he couldn’t understand, the experts he invited could.

So, when the expert saw this prescription from Du Heng, his face immediately changed dramatically, almost choking a breath.

A hundred grams of aconite, is this dose to kill or what?

Just with this dose, even if he could prescribe it, could the Pharmacy dispense it?

Also, this patient is already in a state of fatal disease, why use so many laxatives, is it for fear the person will die too slowly?

However, this expert only swallowed his saliva, then silently handed the prescription in his hand to the next person, choosing to remain silent.

Because he knew that in this situation, since he neither had the ability nor the courage to prescribe, no matter what reason he used to oppose Du Heng’s prescription, it would make him look very incompetent.

If Du Heng can explain the purpose of the prescription, and he couldn’t counter it, his old face would be utterly disgraced.

So, now like everyone else, without the ability to make diagnoses and treatment, he shouldn’t question others’ abilities.

In this capital, talented individuals of various kinds are everywhere.

As for others, all like Director Niu, don’t understand traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions. After passing it around, the conclusion was simply that this well-reputed young doctor was very bold.

As for the final treatment outcome, they didn’t have high hopes, they didn’t believe that traditional Chinese medicine could really change fate.

Transplanting the patient’s son’s kidney was the best option for now.

But their opinions didn’t matter, and Director Niu also believed in Du Heng’s ability, without much nonsense, he directly entered the prescription into the system and notified the pharmacy to dispense the medicine.

Indeed, the trust in Du Heng wasn’t only from Director Niu, but also from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacy side, who now highly trusted Du Heng as well.

Upon seeing the prescription, after necessary verification and communication, the pharmacy began to dispense and decoct the medicine.

Since there was no more business for the experts here, everyone gradually excused themselves. Even Du Heng temporarily left the Nephrology Department and went back to the Department briefly.

He had to explain some things in the Department, then return to the Nephrology Department to watch over.

This patient’s condition was too dangerous. If his laxative formula couldn’t be endured by the patient, it could be fatal within minutes.

So, he had to stay to monitor, to respond to any sudden incidents.

After returning to the Department, Du Heng unexpectedly saw Mr. Ma.

”Director Du, did I interrupt you?” Mr. Ma greeted warmly with a friendly smile, ”Do you have time Director Du, I’d like to talk about the collaboration you mentioned before.”

Du Heng slightly furrowed his brow, and after a simple handshake said, ”Not today, I still have matters to attend to, let’s discuss it when I am free.”

After speaking, he directly started talking with Cao Binghe and several attending physicians nearby, resolved their issues, then after explaining a few things, did not turn back and went back to the Nephrology Department.

Mr. Ma’s face felt a bit heated, he didn’t expect Du Heng to be so unforgiving.

But seeing how busy Du Heng looked, he could only act as if nothing happened and left dejectedly.

Returning to the Nephrology Department, Du Heng joined Director Niu by the patient’s side.

After feeding the medicine for ten minutes, Du Heng conducted another check-up, moments later silently prescribed one gram of musk.

Once the musk was brought, Du Heng administered one-third of it.

Musk has the effect of opening the orifices and resuscitating, but at this time, Du Heng was not using this feature, but another, which is activating blood circulation, clearing blockage, reducing swelling and alleviating pain.

To be clearer, it was also to clear the toxin evil.

An hour later, the patient turned to shallow coma, able to respond when called.

But before everyone could rejoice, they heard the patient’s stomach growling wildly.
