Chapter 1199: Chapter 1198: So You’re a Magical Girl Too?

Fang Zheng discovered that the magical girls in this world seem to have a habit of eavesdropping. Akemi Homura does that, and when they first arrived in this world, Akemi Homura would eavesdrop from time to time. This time, she seemed determined or something, as she returned with them.

And Sakurazawa Kyoko, although she immediately found an excuse to leave afterward, seems to occasionally come over to eavesdrop as well.

As for Mami Tomoe... if she hadn’t been eavesdropping just now, she wouldn’t have responded so quickly.

Those who know understand that you are magical girls, but those who don’t might think you’re all secret agents.

Mitakihara isn’t small, but finding a witch isn’t difficult. The group wandered around and, after a few hours, found a witch barrier.

”Are you sure this is a witch and not a familiar?”

Looking at the background around him, which resembled children’s graffiti, and various strange things that looked like paper cutouts, Fang Zheng frowned and then turned to the three people beside him.

”It’s a witch.”

Sakurazawa Kyoko was the first to answer, and Akemi Homura also nodded.

”That’s right, this is a witch barrier.”

”.........”

In contrast, Mami Tomoe remained silent. Although she impulsively decided to join Fang Zheng and the others, now that they were truly inside the witch barrier, she seemed somewhat hesitant. However, there were people everywhere, so trying to leave alone was clearly impossible.

”Gawu—Gawu!!”

Just then, sensing an intrusion into the barrier, the witch’s familiars came out one by one. These familiars looked like cotton candy. Although they appeared harmless, it was clear they were anything but.

Otherwise, no one would have died inside a witch’s barrier.

Seeing this scene, Fang Zheng yawned.

”Let’s get started.”

As soon as he spoke, Illya and the others charged out and engaged in battle with the witch’s familiars.

Pathetically, these familiars couldn’t even match the magical girls of this world, let alone Illya, Nanoha, and Little Sakura. Within moments, the familiars were swept aside.

”Tsk, tsk, tsk. Honestly, if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t believe you’re magical girls from another world.”

Watching this scene, Sakurazawa Kyoko clicked her tongue and then curiously looked at Fang Zheng.

”But why did you come to our world? You couldn’t just be here to help.”

Hearing this, both Akemi Homura and Mami Tomoe focused their attention on Fang Zheng. After all, they were curious about why Fang Zheng and the others had come to their world. Indeed, the fate of magical girls in this world was quite miserable, but that had nothing to do with Fang Zheng and his companions, right?

As for mutual help...

To be honest, Akemi Homura and Sakurazawa Kyoko had abandoned such naive ideas years ago.

”Of course, it’s not just to help. In fact, it’s because there’s a problem in your world that has seeped into the world where these kids live.”

Fang Zheng had no need to hide it from them. Since they had questions, he would answer them. So, he quickly opened his personal terminal and displayed records of battles from another world to the three of them.

”In that world, when these kids were fighting, they were attacked by mysterious shadow creatures. Through investigation, we discovered that these creatures originate from another world. As their numbers grew, they would gather and form a strange creature. Through the spatial vortex created by this creature, we ended up in your world.”

”Hmm...? Are these also familiars?”

Looking at the strange shadow creatures on the screen, Sakurazawa Kyoko tilted her head curiously and asked. At that moment, Akemi Homura’s expression suddenly changed.

”These are... familiars of Witch’s Night!”

”Witch’s Night?”

Hearing Akemi Homura’s words, both Sakurazawa Kyoko and Mami Tomoe curiously looked at her.

”Are you sure?”

”Of course, I’m certain.”

Akemi Homura regained her composure, nodded silently. Seeing her reaction, Sakurazawa Kyoko smirked.

”I mean, I have no right to talk about trust, but you should at least share some information with each other, right? Aren’t we all gathered here because of the fate of magical girls? Shouldn’t we understand each other better?”

”.........”

Nevertheless, once again, Akemi Homura remained silent.

”Alright, this isn’t the time to discuss these things.”

At this moment, Fang Zheng broke the conversation between the two sides. By now, they had unknowingly walked into the deepest part of the witch’s barrier, and the witch—was right in front of them.

In a room filled with candies and sweets, there was a long, four-legged table. Sitting on a chair next to it was something that looked like a doll.

”That is the witch.”

Mami Tomoe stared at the doll sitting in the chair and whispered. Her voice was filled with fear or sadness, trembling slightly.

”Teacher? What should we do now?”

”Ha...”

Hearing Little Sakura’s inquiry, Fang Zheng sighed deeply and walked forward with a look of despair.

”This time, let me handle it...but...”

”But...?”

”Whatever you see, don’t talk about it, understand?”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s solemn warning, the girls exchanged glances and then hesitantly nodded. Although they didn’t know what Fang Zheng intended to do, given his rare serious warning, they would listen.

”Good, then...”

While speaking, Fang Zheng took a ”Transformation Bracelet” from his inventory and put it on his wrist.

If only Kurumi were here, then I wouldn’t need to take action myself.

Thinking this, Fang Zheng sighed again, then suddenly clenched his right hand and placed it on his chest.

”Transform!!”

Scarlet flames burst forth, enveloping Fang Zheng. Soon, the intense flames rose, pushing back the surrounding girls. Even the candies and sweets on the ground turned to ash in the scarlet fire.

The next moment, the flames dispersed.

However, when the girls opened their eyes again and looked forward, they were all stunned.

Standing before them was a petite girl with twin ponytails, her long red hair, dressed in a red combat outfit and armor. Her age seemed to match that of Akemi Homura and Sakurazawa Kyoko. But her red eyes and adorable, yet majestic demeanor involuntarily drew admiration.

”Wait, who are you? Where’s that guy from earlier?”

Seeing this, Sakurazawa Kyoko widened her eyes in surprise, scrutinizing the girl in front of her and asking. In response to Sakurazawa Kyoko’s question, Fang Zheng sighed silently.

”It’s me...now, do you understand?”

”Huh?!!”

At this moment, Little Sakura, Nanoha, Illya, Little Hei, Fate, Akemi Homura, Mami Tomoe, and Sakurazawa Kyoko all forgot about the enemy before them, staring in shock at the red ponytail girl in front of them, unable to speak.

So you’re a magical girl too, big brother?!
