Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1162: Chapter 1161: This Isn’t Your Backyard

”You...”

Looking at Fang Zheng in front of him, Kurono surprisingly didn’t know what to say for a moment.

As an Executor of the Space-Time Bureau, Kurono was not on his first mission, yet this was the first time he had met someone who dared to tell him to get lost directly.

”This is not the territory of your Space-Time Bureau, and you have no right to take any actions without permission. If you don’t leave, then our Heavenly Dao Palace will consider your actions as an invasion.”

With that, Fang Zheng squinted his eyes.

”And we at the Heavenly Dao Palace show no mercy to invaders.”

Feeling Fang Zheng’s gaze, Kurono suddenly felt a chill, as if sensing some cold killing intention. He opened his mouth to say something, but at this moment, a pleasant female voice came from beside Kurono.

”Come back, Executor Kurono.”

”Mom... no, Admiral?”

Hearing this voice, Kurono was clearly a bit surprised.

”Don’t say anything for now, come back first, and we’ll discuss it later.”

”Yes.”

Hearing this, Kurono sighed, then looked at Fang Zheng, obediently putting down the magitech device in his hand.

”Well, I’ll be leaving then.”

After saying this, Kurono once again used teleportation spells, then disappeared into the air. Accompanying Kurono’s departure, the aura binding everyone also disappeared.

”Fate!”

As soon as the binding was lifted, the Big Dog immediately rushed to Fate’s side, looking at her worriedly, while Fate gave a tired smile looking at the Big Dog.

”Sorry, Arf... I lost...”

”It’s okay, Fate, let’s leave.”

”No, you can’t leave.”

However, unexpectedly for the Big Dog, at this moment, Fang Zheng suddenly spoke. Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the red Big Dog instinctively turned to glare fiercely at Fang Zheng.

”What do you want?”

”Did you forget? This child made a bet with Nanoha, if she lost, she would have to tell us everything.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng patted Nanoha on the shoulder.

”And you haven’t fulfilled the agreement yet.”

”This...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the red Big Dog hesitated too, indeed, she agreed to Fate’s decision at the time, but Arf never thought Fate would lose... now it seems she got herself into a tough spot.

Though the red Big Dog wanted to grab Fate and run, but...

”Alright, let’s go, we can talk later.”

Looking at Fate and the red Big Dog, Fang Zheng turned around, then casually waved his hand, opening a teleportation gate.

”This child was also injured in the battle just now, let her rest a bit to recover. As for that Space-Time Bureau, there’s no need to worry. As long as it’s on Earth, I won’t allow them to act at will.”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the Big Dog gritted its teeth, but in the end, it obediently took Fate into the teleportation gate.

After this, everything returned to normal.

It wasn’t until the girls returned home from school that they saw Fang Zheng leisurely sitting on the sofa, bored watching TV.

”Teacher, where is Fate?”

Seeing Fang Zheng, Nanoha immediately inquired, and Fang Zheng waved his hand.

”She’s resting in the guest room, asleep, so it’s best not to disturb her right now.”

”I see...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s response, Nanoha was somewhat disappointed, but soon Little Sakura reached out, holding her hand.

”Don’t worry, Nanoha, with the teacher here, the child will surely get better.”

”But I didn’t expect you to be so reckless.”

At this time, Little Hei also started speaking with a playful tone.

”Just like that boom... you’re really able to go for it.”

”Ahahaha...”

Hearing Little Hei’s teasing, Nanoha sheepishly scratched her head and laughed.

”At that moment, um... I just wanted to focus on persuading her...”

”So you directly fired a shot?”

Illya was now looking at Nanoha with a bit of a strange expression.

”Are you sure that’s really okay?”

”Um...”

Facing Illya’s question, Nanoha didn’t really know what to say.

For a moment, the atmosphere was somewhat awkward, but luckily Shisei noticed this and quickly brought up a question to divert everyone’s attention.

”But teacher, why did you treat that... Space-Time Bureau organization that way? Aren’t they the good guys?”

”Yeah.”

At this point, Yuno also worriedly spoke.

”The Space-Time Bureau manages space-time and specializes in investigating, retrieving, and managing dimensional interference items... If they’re here, they must have detected the Seed of Holy Stone fluctuations. Wouldn’t it be better for us to cooperate with them?”

”So, this Space-Time Bureau organization is like a police institution?”

Illya curiously asked, to which Yuno nodded.

”Yes, exactly.”

”What should we do, teacher...”

Hearing this response, Nanoha immediately became worried, but Fang Zheng scoffed at this.

”So what if that’s the case, what does it have to do with us?”

”... Eh?”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s response, the girls were all taken aback, and Fang Zheng let out a light grunt.

”Listen, whatever the Space-Time Bureau’s duties are, I won’t care if it wants to save the world or destroy it, it has nothing to do with me. However, I will absolutely not allow them to mess around here because this involves a matter of sovereignty and ownership of civilization.”

Hearing this, the girls exchanged glances with each other.

”Sovereignty of civilization?”

”... Ownership?”

”Exactly.”

Fang Zheng snapped his fingers.

”You’ve all watched crime or cop movies, right? Like 007, where a highly talented policeman or spy infiltrates another country to deal with enemies hidden within that country, and then both sides engage in intense battles, vehicle chases in a crowded city, followed by some big explosion... right?”

”Um...”

Hearing this, the girls all nodded. After all, such crime movies are an old trope.

”Is there a problem with that?”

”Of course, it’s problematic.”

Facing Little Sakura’s inquiry, Fang Zheng let out a light snort.

”007 is British, yet without permission from other countries, he infiltrates them to catch criminals? And he causes chaos in that country’s cities as if disregarding that country’s sovereignty? Oh, you can just chase a criminal wanted in your country, and without a word, you head off to another country to catch them? Think about it, if an American agent came to Haiming City, without saying a word, and started a gunfight or car chase in a crowded area, causing the whole city to fall into chaos, then went back home with no consequences, what would you think?”

”Uh...”

Hearing this, the girls’ expressions became somewhat complex, obviously realizing, after putting themselves in that position, that those so-called protagonists in crime movies... well, many of them are actually not good people at all.

”The Space-Time Bureau is the same, it’s not an Earth organization, it doesn’t have an Earth office, so to speak, it has nothing to do with human civilization within Earth’s sphere, then without a single word, they come and go as they please. What do they take Earth for? Their backyard?!”

Fang Zheng coldly slapped the table.

”I will not tolerate this bad habit of theirs! I’d like to see what this Space-Time Bureau can do to us in Heavenly Dao Palace this time!”
