Chapter 1187: Chapter 1186: A Completely Different Magical Girl World

The battle has ended, and everyone naturally reverted to their usual attire after transforming back. The black-haired girl in front of them furrowed her brows, staring at them, unsure of what she was thinking.

”If possible, could you tell us what exactly happened? We have just arrived in this world and are not very familiar with the situation here...”

.........

In response to Fang Zheng’s inquiry, the black-haired girl did not answer. She cautiously glanced at everyone and then quickly took a step back. The next moment, she did something that surprised everyone.

She turned and ran.

......???

Watching the girl disappear into the night within a few moments, everyone felt a bit flabbergasted. They thought she might exchange some information with them or say something to each other.

But now, what on earth is this......

”What should we do now, teacher?”

Little Sakura scratched her head as she watched the girl’s silhouette vanish, and Fate asked worriedly.

”Do you need me to track her?”

”No, hmm...... let’s do this, it’s about time for you to familiarize yourselves with our Heavenly Dao Palace workflow.”

In response to the magical girls’ inquiries, Fang Zheng clapped his hands. Since proclaiming to Lindy that this was under the jurisdiction of the Heavenly Dao Palace, Fang Zheng naturally also explained the situation about the Heavenly Dao Palace to Little Sakura and Nanoha. As he mentioned before, the Heavenly Dao Palace is an organization that travels across different times and worlds to protect Earth and human civilization.

Indeed, this is exactly the case.

”Consider this as arriving at a new world. First, we need to assess the situation in this world.”

While speaking, Fang Zheng opened his inventory, took out several Star Spirit Reconnaissance Devices, and threw them into the air, then activated his personal terminal. Shortly after, several images appeared on it.

”First, we need to determine the location, time period, and whether the civilization in this world is advanced, as well as the key points within...”

”Key points?”

”Exactly.”

In response to Little Sakura’s question, Fang Zheng nodded.

”The Heavenly Dao Palace has visited many Earths, and although they all look the same, each Earth has different developments and encounters. For instance, there’s a Game World where technology has advanced to the extent that people can enjoy entertainment in an electronic virtual world as if playing a real game. Then there’s a Bio-World where, due to the spread of a virus, when we arrived there, most of the population had become mindless zombies...”

”Eek...!”

Upon hearing this, Little Sakura, Nanoha, and Shisei couldn’t help but change their expressions slightly.

”Are there even such terrifying worlds?”

”That’s not the worst of it. There’s another world where children called Cursed Children exist. They were infected with the virus before birth and thus mutated. However, in that world, these children are severely discriminated against, treated as monsters, and can even be ordered around or killed without consequence...”

At this point, Fang Zheng adjusted the camera angle.

”In short, each world has its own rules and order that we must investigate and understand first, then decide how to intervene. As the Heavenly Dao Palace, a third-party organization that shelters Earth and human civilization, we cannot judge based on the opinions of the world’s inhabitants. Instead, we should investigate thoroughly with our own eyes.”

Hearing this, the girls fell silent. After a moment, Fate spoke, somewhat uneasy.

”Teacher, what happened to those children you mentioned from that world... later on?”

”The Heavenly Dao Palace found a way to cure their viral infections and took most of them to live in the Heavenly Dao Palace. Thanks to them, the Heavenly Dao Palace is a lively place now. As for that world... it’s currently under our management, and similar events will not be allowed to happen again.”

”Phew......”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s response, the girls collectively sighed in relief. Even though they had not seen it firsthand, just hearing Fang Zheng’s casual words was enough to make them worry and feel tense for the children of that world.

”Alright, let’s take a look.”

After setting up the Star Spirit Reconnaissance Devices, Fang Zheng quickly connected to the images, and soon, the screens in front of the girls displayed towers and cities with a touch of science fiction.

”Wow... how beautiful...”

”It looks a bit sci-fi, doesn’t it...”

”That’s right.”

Hearing the girls’ comments, Fang Zheng nodded.

”From the looks of it, this appears to be a near-future world.”

”Near-future...”

”It’s about twenty or thirty years later than the world you grew up in.”

”Really?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s explanation, Little Sakura curiously looked at the city in front of her.

”In twenty or thirty years, will there be so many beautiful buildings in our world too?”

”Why do I feel like this style doesn’t match the Magical Girls at all.”

Little Hei quipped from the side.

”It’s too sci-fi, not magical at all.”

”Ahaha...”

Hearing Little Hei’s complaint, Illya smiled wryly.

Indeed, this doesn’t look like Magical Girls at all... After all, near-future Magical Girls... it’s too sci-fi.

”But we still don’t know what the Magical Girls of this world are like, and why they fight?”

At this moment, Shisei also curiously asked her question, and Fang Zheng nodded in agreement.

”That’s right, so we need to find a few Magical Girls, talk to them, and inquire about the situation in this world. Initially, that girl was a good starting point, but she seemed wary of us.”

”She reminds me a bit of Fate when we first met.”

Recalling that girl, Nanoha also sighed, and Little Sakura nodded.

”Yes, she seemed completely uninterested in communicating with us and, how should I put it... she seemed to have a sense of mission...”

”Huh? Really?”

Fate herself was quite surprised, seemingly unaware.

”Yes!”

In response to Fate’s question, Nanoha nodded vigorously, then clenched her fist.

”Next time we meet her, I definitely want to have a good talk with her!”

.........

At this point, Fate couldn’t help but shiver. She then looked at her friend beside her.

”Nanoha...”

”Hmm? What is it, Fate?”

Seeing Nanoha turn around with a cheerful smile, curiously looking at her, Fate hesitated once again, and finally...

”Go for it, I believe she will definitely understand your feelings, Nanoha!”

In the end, Fate could only clench her fist and cheer for Nanoha.
