Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1188: Chapter 1187: The Magical Girl Squad is Formed!!

Since it was already late at night, Fang Zheng didn’t plan for the girls to jump into action immediately. Instead, he decided to let them rest for a while.

Surprisingly, contrary to Fang Zheng’s original plan of finding a hotel, Little Hei suggested, ”Since we’re out here camping, why don’t we just stay in this factory?”

Even Fate, Shisei, and Little Sakura, who were usually obedient, agreed with her.

Hmm... Fang Zheng could somewhat understand their feelings.

After all, except for Little Hei who seemed eager to stir up trouble, the others were very obedient kids. Of course, sometimes, when they were collecting the Seed of Holy Stone or Clow Cards, they would sneak out of the house, but they would always return home in the end.

Staying out all night was something the girls had never done before!

But that didn’t mean they didn’t want to try it!

After all, this was a legitimate all-nighter. If they stayed in a hotel, it just wouldn’t have the right vibe. Indeed, the factory looked long-abandoned, empty and messy everywhere. If they weren’t careful, they might end up finding a table to sleep on all night long...

But that’s the fun part!

It gives that true overnight stay feeling!

If they stayed at a hotel, it would just be another school trip.

Staying in this kind of port warehouse, sneaking around, is what makes it thrilling!

Of course, Fang Zheng couldn’t really let these girls sleep on the ground. He had plenty of outdoor equipment in his inventory. So Fang Zheng readily agreed to the girls’ suggestion, taking out several tents, and even a grill...

That’s right, this was a harbor dock, just outside the warehouse was the sea. On this pitch-black, windy night, everyone sat outside the warehouse, grilling barbecue in front of a fire, watching the sea which was as dark as ink. Telling ghost stories, wouldn’t that be charming in its own way?

And so, after casting an Exorcism Magic to ensure no one would come bothering them, Fang Zheng arranged the grill right at the warehouse entrance facing the dock, and began to cook some barbecue. The girls excitedly gathered around the fire, licking their lips while watching the meat and vegetables sizzle on the grill wire.

Okay, this grand adventure turned into a barbecue party in the wild.

As a side note, besides the Magical Girls, the gathering was also joined by Little Ke and—two uninvited cats.

Fang Zheng wasn’t sure how the two cats managed to sneak in. If it weren’t for the Soulstone connection he felt from the little white cat, he might have thought it was just a coincidence!

Oh, and additionally, as for Yuno, that lusty snow mongoose, he was sent back as soon as Fang Zheng handed over the Seed of Holy Stone to Lindy. After all, since he was the one who dug them out, he had a related responsibility and naturally had to leave. From the looks of it, he might never reunite with Nanoha again.

Ghost stories like these were, of course, told by Little Hei with great relish. Little Sakura sat shivering, while the others were filled with curiosity. For Little Hei, though, the best audience was Illya, Little Sakura, and Nanoha, whose trembling embrace was indeed amusing. On the other hand, Shisei and Fate remained quite composed—Shisei seemed to have no fear at all, while Fate probably hadn’t figured out what Little Hei meant by ”ghost.”

But seriously, Illya, why are you holding on so tightly? Have you forgotten that you’re also a Heroic Spirit—a type of ghost?

Are you even allowed to be afraid of ghosts?

”By the way... Little Hei, when you guys followed the teacher across worlds, did you ever encounter ghosts?”

At this moment, it was Nanoha’s turn to ask curiously, and Little Hei scratched her head.

”Uh... well... I don’t think we have?”

As she spoke, Little Hei looked at Fang Zheng.

”Big brother, are there ghosts in our place?”

”No ghosts, but there were a few zombies.”

Hearing Little Hei’s question, Fang Zheng continued flipping a steak over while rolling his eyes grudgingly. Just kidding, with his identity, what kind of ghosts or spirits would dare come and seek death with him?

That being said... Fang Zheng realized he really hadn’t seen any ghosts or spirits before. He had encountered some Undead Creatures, but never simple spirits or ghosts. Traversing numerous worlds, he actually hadn’t encountered these?

It seemed like he hadn’t traveled through a horror genre?

But upon thinking more carefully, Fang Zheng found that even traveling through a horror movie wouldn’t make much difference. Like Sadako or Kayako, with just one strike of Holy Light, they’d all be wiped out. In America, it wasn’t likely there’d be any ghost that could withstand the flames of the Primordial Fire, not even Jason Freddy would stand a chance.

In terms of difficulty, perhaps only Death Has Arrived would be a bit tricky.

”Those zombies aren’t frightening at all...”

Little Hei said that the Rotten Xiuxiu crew of zombies truly lacked intimidation, saying she could handle ten with just one finger.

As for Sanhua Remi... have you ever seen a zombie that bows and nods at everyone before?

”With your strength, I really can’t think of anything that could scare you, off you go!”

With that, Fang Zheng flicked his hand, tossing an already cooked steak through the air, and Little Hei, like a little puppy, jumped up catching the hot steak with her mouth before sitting back onto her chair.

”Mmm... Big brother’s grilled steak is so delicious...”

Little Hei finished off the steak in a few quick bites, then licked her fingers, seemingly pondering something, gazing contemplatively at the girls gathered before her.

”Speaking of...”

”Yikes? What are you going to say now?”

Upon hearing Little Hei’s words, Little Sakura, Nanoha, and Illya, who had already separated, instinctively clung to each other again. They knew that every time Little Hei started a ghost story, it always began with ”speaking of.”

Fortunately, this time it was clear Little Hei didn’t intend to tell a ghost story.

”I suddenly thought of a fun idea.”

”A fun idea?”

”That’s right!”

Little Hei nodded and then stood up again.

”Just so happens, we have five Magical Girls here, so why don’t we form a Five-Color Squad in this world?”

”...Huh?”

Upon hearing this, everyone couldn’t help but be stunned. But Little Hei resolutely pointed towards Illya.

”First, starting with you, Illya. Since your Magical Girl Outfit is pink, you’ll be the Pink Magical Girl!”

”...Huh? Huh huh?!”

”Next up is you, Nanoha!”

Ignoring a bewildered Illya, Little Hei immediately pointed to Nanoha beside her.

”You’re the Pure White Magical Girl!”

”Me...?”

”And then Fate! You... hmm...”

While speaking, Little Hei glanced down at herself and then at Fate, settling her gaze finally on Fate’s golden twin tails.

”Too troublesome, you’ll be the Yellow Magical Girl!”

”...This...”

”And I’ll be the Pitch Black Magical Girl!”

Saying that, Little Hei proudly patted her chest. At this moment, Little Sakura raised her hand in confusion.

”So... what about me?”

”Uh... Little Sakura, as for you, right, you’ll be the Aqua Blue Magical Girl!”

”Huh? I don’t really have any connection with blue.”

”Wonderful!”

But just as Little Sakura was attempting to protest to Little Hei, Shisei was already standing up with her eyes shining. She clasped her hands together over her chest, her eyes sparkling.

”Aqua Blue Little Sakura, filled with a refreshing and soothing feeling... I have inspiration!”

Saying this, Shisei clutched Little Sakura’s hand.

”Rest assured, Little Sakura, I will definitely design a Magical Girl Outfit that suits your name of BLUE.”

”Eek———?!”

”Then without further delay...”

However, Shisei didn’t stop there. Instead, she turned her head to look at Little Hei.

”Since we’ve already formed a squad, let’s move on to practicing the Magical Girl Squad’s POSE!”
