Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1163: Chapter 1162: Fate, Stay Night

”Mom... Admiral, why are you stopping me?”

Kurono hurriedly walked into the room, pushed open the door, and quickly asked upon seeing the green-haired woman in front of him.

”Isn’t mediating disputes, preventing Dimensional Quakes, and collecting Ancient Relics our responsibility at the Space-Time Bureau?”

”That’s indeed the case.”

Facing Kurono’s inquiry, the woman sitting in the chair, Lindy Harowan, nodded her head.

”Then, we...”

”Calm down, Kurono.”

Lindy showed a gentle smile and raised her hand to stop her son’s further actions.

”You’re right, we’re not wrong, but neither is the other side.”

”......”

Kurono looked at Lindy, feeling somewhat unresponsive.

”What... does this mean?”

”The Space-Time Bureau is indeed an organization that mediates disputes and manages the Dimensional World.”

Looking at her son, Lindy smiled slightly.

”But as the other side said, strictly speaking, Earth is not within the management scope of the Space-Time Bureau. And now, an organization called the Heavenly Dao Palace has appeared and stopped our actions, so naturally, we cannot act without authorization. After all, entering someone else’s home without permission is not a sign of friendliness.”

”So, Admiral, what should we do?”

”I will personally talk to the leader of the Heavenly Dao Palace and inform them about the Space-Time Bureau, perhaps we can cooperate.”

The reason Lindy made this decision is because when Fang Zheng appeared, she also attempted to detect his power, and the magical power measuring instruments on the Asura directly broke down as a result. Because of this, Lindy immediately realized that the young man who suddenly appeared was not someone to provoke. To prevent her hot-headed son from saying something wrong, she hastily ordered Kurono to retreat.

”I will report this matter to the headquarters of the Space-Time Bureau, and then... we’ll see what to do next.”

For Lindy, this is also the only thing she can do at the moment.

When Fate opened her eyes again, it was already the next morning.

”Fate!”

Seeing the blonde girl open her eyes, the Big Dog beside her exclaimed excitedly, and hearing Big Dog’s voice, Fate slowly sat up.

”Arf? Where am I...?”

Fate turned her head and found she was neither in the hotel room nor her own home, but in a strange guest room.

”We are in the house of that human named Fang Zheng, Fate.”

Arf looked a bit helpless when mentioning this name.

”I wanted to take you away, but he stopped us because you haven’t fulfilled your promise yet...”

”Promise...”

Muttering to herself, Fate started to remember. She lowered her head, looking at her hand.

”I lost...”

Fate’s voice trembled slightly, and Arf wanted to say something, but didn’t know what to say for a moment.

”Fate...”

”Mother placed such high hopes on me, but I actually lost...”

”Fate, you don’t have to be so sad, even if you lost, you don’t have to give them the Seed of Holy Stone!”

”But, I lost...”

At that moment, Fate felt an overwhelming heaviness in her heart. Everything she did was to earn her mother’s approval. But, she failed. Although she didn’t lose the Seed of Holy Stone, if her mother finds out she failed, what will she think? Will she abandon her?

”......”

Fate stood up and wordlessly opened the door. Her mind was in chaos, unsure of what to do, but Fate knew she had to keep her promise. She would fulfill her commitment and tell everything to that child named Nanoha, and then she would leave.

As for what to do after leaving... Fate didn’t know yet.

But for now, she should wash her face...

Thinking this, Fate walked to the end of the corridor and pushed open a door, however...

”Ah...”

She saw Little Hei and Illya brushing their teeth at the sink, glaring at each other with their foreheads touching. Seeing Fate walk in, both were stunned, then Little Hei quickly put down her toothbrush and rushed over to hold Fate’s shoulders.

”Ah, Fate, you’re awake! Are you alright, not hurt anywhere?”

”Ah... um... I’m fine...”

Facing the flood of questions from Little Hei, Fate was dumbfounded. She didn’t know the girl in front of her, not even her name, but the other seemed to be familiar with her and quite concerned, which made Fate, who was not used to receiving concern from strangers, a bit nervous and unsure how to respond.

”That’s great to hear, but Nanoha, with such a cute face, hit so hard...”

Little Hei sighed in relief and then laughed, patting Fate’s shoulder.

”But as long as you’re okay, we were watching as you got blasted away by Nanoha’s magic cannon... tsk tsk tsk, especially after the fight ended, you looked like you were on death’s door. If it weren’t for Big Brother’s check-up saying you only needed mental rest, I’d think Nanoha killed you.”

”...Ha...”

”Oh right, I haven’t introduced myself, I’m Chloe von Einzbern, you can call me Little Hei, and can I call you Fate?”

”This... of course, it’s fine.”

Fate still hadn’t fully grasped the situation, instinctively nodding. And Little Hei laughed, nodding and pointing to Ilia.

”By the way, let me introduce, this is Illyasphiel von Einzbern, my little sister...”

”Who’s your little sister? I’m the older sister!”

Hearing Little Hei seize the moment to take advantage, Illya pounced in dissatisfaction and tussled with Little Hei again. Fate stood at the door, unsure how to react.

At this moment, Fang Zheng’s voice came from behind Fate.

”Alright, you two, now is not the time to mess around, wash your face and brush your teeth, then prepare for breakfast. Can’t you see Fate is waiting?”

”Ah, yes...!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the playful Little Hei and Illya quickly stopped, answered, and rushed to finish their business at the sink, then waved at Fate before leaving with a smile.

”Um... excuse me...”

Turning her head, Fate looked at Fang Zheng, wanting to say something, but was unsure what. Looking at the young man in front of her, Fang Zheng just smiled slightly and reached out to pat her head.

”Alright, I know you have much to say, but it’s not important for now. Here, I prepared a new towel and toiletries for you, wash up and come for breakfast.”

”Yes...”

At that moment, Fate’s mind was in turmoil. She had never experienced such a situation before. Since understanding things, Fate had almost always been alone, with only Arf accompanying her as a Familiar Spirit. Such a happy, bustling, and warm scene was something Fate had never encountered, leaving her unsure of how to respond.

So, in response to Fang Zheng, Fate could only instinctively nod her head.

Once she finished freshening up and came to the dining room, the aroma of food filled the air.

”Ah, Fate! You’re here, come, sit here!”

Seeing Fate come in, Little Hei waved her over, patting the chair next to her.

”Big Brother made breakfast today, how’s the aroma? Everyone will be here soon...”

”Click.”

Just then, the door outside opened, and the voices of Little Sakura and Shisei could be heard.

”Sorry for the intrusion.”

”Teacher, how’s the child doing?”

Speaking as they entered, upon seeing Fate, Little Sakura and Shisei smiled. They hurried over to her, asking with care.

”Are you alright, Fate!”

”Not hurt, does anything hurt?”

”Well... I’m fine...”

Witnessing this scene, Fate was at a loss, not knowing how to respond to the concern from these strangers. But, for some reason, she didn’t dislike this feeling...
