Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1156: Chapter 1155: When the Night Knocks

After that, Fang Zheng tried several more methods consecutively, but the result was still ineffective...

Could it be that this world places restrictions in this regard? Then what about Little Ke? Oh, and Fate’s dog, technically speaking, they are just like Little Hei, aren’t they also familiar spirits? Moreover, Fang Zheng remembered that Fate also had to provide magic power to maintain that familiar’s human form. Why doesn’t it work with me?

Hmm? Wait a minute.

With this in mind, Fang Zheng suddenly realized a part he hadn’t paid attention to before.

If this world is really as he imagined, a world of magical girls, then it makes total sense for Little Sakura and Fate to provide magic power to their familiars. After all, by the rules of Fang Zheng’s many traversals through different worlds, each world’s ”core concept” takes precedence.

In other words, if I want to provide magic power to Little Hei... With this thought, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but glance at the bracelet on his wrist.

Oh no, this world wouldn’t trick me like this, would it!

Right now, Fang Zheng was immensely relieved that besides the magical girls, this world also had mages like Kuro Reed and the Space-Time Bureau. Otherwise, if there were a world rule that only magical girls could use magic to fight, Fang Zheng would really be done for.

For now... let’s just say thank goodness...

However, Little Hei clearly wasn’t considering so much, Fang Zheng could feel it...

”Stop, stop, stop!!”

Fang Zheng hurriedly reached out to press down on Little Hei.

”What do you want to do?”

”Of course, it’s to replenish magic! Big brother, you’re the MASTER, replenishing magic is your duty, isn’t it?”

”That’s true, but you should know what replenishing magic means, right?”

”Of course, that’s why I came to you, big brother.”

As she talked, Little Hei looked at Fang Zheng playfully and stuck out her mischievous little tongue to lick the corner of her mouth.

”Thanks for the treat.”

”So... why don’t you go find Illya?”

”Eh? Does big brother like this kind of development?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s question, Little Hei proudly put a finger to her lips and looked at Fang Zheng.

”Is this really okay? I’m very hungry now, mere Illya can’t satisfy me... Big brother, are you sure this is a good idea?”

”Uh...”

Confronted with Little Hei’s response, Fang Zheng was at a loss for words. If it were the Illya from the world he was familiar with, he wouldn’t be worried, who knows who would end up playing with whom. But this Illya is different, Fang Zheng has spent a long time with her and knows this Illya is just an innocent, adorable, and pure little girl. She wouldn’t ”taint” like Little Hei. If Little Hei attacked her, who knows what would happen.

”But you’re still a child...”

”Big brother, how many years do you think we’ve been following you?”

Hearing this, Little Hei pouted her lips.

”If we start counting from when we began following you, we would be as big as Sister Asuna and the others by now!”

Now that she mentioned it... it seems so...

Fang Zheng had traversed several worlds with Illya and Little Hei, and he’d stayed in those worlds for quite some time. By this reckoning, both of them should indeed be around fifteen or sixteen years old now.

”But still wait until you all grow a little more...”

”We are Heroic Spirits, how are we supposed to grow?”

”...Right.”

Hearing Little Hei’s rebuttal, Fang Zheng slapped his forehead speechlessly; he really was muddled, completely forgetting about this matter. At this moment, Little Hei playfully snuggled closer to Fang Zheng, leaned in towards his ear, and whispered softly.

”So, big brother doesn’t need to worry, in front of you is a legit loli, you know? Doesn’t that make your heart flutter?”

As she spoke, Little Hei rubbed her body against Fang Zheng’s.

”Well? Big brother?”

Little Hei stretched out her hand, wrapped it around Fang Zheng’s neck, and blew softly in his ear.

”Replenishing a Servant’s magic is a MASTER’s duty, right? Big brother, you wouldn’t want to see me disappearing like this... or should I go and attack Illya instead?”

”You’re such a naughty bad child.”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but sigh, and Little Hei chuckled, lightly nibbling on Fang Zheng’s ear.

”So, big brother, how do you plan to punish this naughty bad child?”

”Of course it’s...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng suddenly spun around.

”To properly punish this naughty bad child.”

”Mew...”

Saying this, Fang Zheng lowered his head.

”Meow...”

The little black cat yawned, then turned over and curled back up to sleep. Meanwhile, the white cat lay in its nest, silently watching the restless figure on the bed not far away.

The night deepened.

When Fang Zheng opened his eyes again, it was already the next morning, and what woke him was the sound of hurried footsteps outside the door.

”Little Hei——!”

Illya burst through the door with a loud bang, glaring angrily at Fang Zheng—strictly speaking, at the other little uninvited guest on Fang Zheng’s bed.

”Phew... hmm?”

Hearing Illya’s shout, Little Hei yawned and then raised her head from Fang Zheng’s embrace, rubbing her eyes while looking toward the door.

”Illya, what’s up...”

”What’s up? I just called you to get up, and then I found you weren’t in your room, so I thought... Turns out, you really did sneak into the MASTER’s bed again!”

”What’s the big deal, we are Servants, we should maintain a good relationship with the MASTER.”

As she spoke, Little Hei nestled back into Fang Zheng’s embrace, with the expression of a mistress caught by the main wife without any fear, incidentally mocking ”you were already boring to him, and now I’m his favorite.”

”But there should be a limit, you idiot!”

Screaming as she spoke, Illya walked into the room, then she suddenly stopped, curiously sniffing the air.

”Um... what’s this smell? It’s kinda weird...”

”Eh? This, this is...”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng and Little Hei felt tense, then Fang Zheng cleverly glanced at the little white cat not far away.

”Right, Little Bai peed here last night.”

Little Bai: ”...Meow meow meow?”

It wasn’t me! I didn’t!!

”I thought so, that’s why it smells so strong! This won’t do!”

And Illya, seemingly without any suspicion of Fang Zheng’s words, nodded while walking to the white cat’s side, picking it up.

”Come on, Little Bai, let’s get you cleaned up.”

”Meow... meow...!”

”Struggling is useless, you are the one who made the room so stinky, aren’t you?”

”Meow...!!!”

”Ah, MASTER, Little Hei, breakfast is ready, come down and eat.”

As she spoke, Illya left the room carrying the struggling little white cat, closing the door behind her. It was only then that Fang Zheng and Little Hei let out a collective sigh of relief.

Anyway, at least they got away with it.

Then, the two exchanged a glance, Little Hei’s face slightly blushing as she looked away, and Fang Zheng bashfully rubbed his chin.

”So, shall we... get up?”

”Mm...”
