Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1158: Chapter 1157: It’s Good to Have a Rival

”Honestly, how can there be such a person, rude and disrespectful!”

With Fang Zheng’s intervention, a conflict was stopped, and upon returning to the activity room, Little Hei immediately began complaining.

”He doesn’t understand any manners, just comes and snatches a girl’s stuff, how can there be such a person!”

”Little Sakura, are you okay?”

Shisei looked at Little Sakura with concern, and Little Sakura shook her head.

”I’m fine, but... Little Ke?”

”Hmm...”

Hearing Little Sakura’s inquiry, Little Ke, who was flying around in the air, circled back and frowned.

”That little brat... I don’t know him, but according to what you said, he should be from the Li Family.”

”Li Family?”

”That’s right.”

Little Ke nodded.

”Kuro Reed’s father is British, and mother is Chinese, so Kuro Reed’s magic blends Eastern and Western magic. The Li Family should be Kuro Reed’s mother’s family. I’ve heard they’re a famous Taoist Noble House.”

”So that child...”

”He might just be Kuro Reed’s distant relative.”

”Huh?!”

Upon hearing this, Little Sakura screamed.

”Then, are you saying I should hand the cards over to him?”

”Why should you!”

Before Little Ke could respond, Little Hei angrily shouted.

”Even if that kid is a distant relative of Kuro Reed, he can’t just snatch things from others as soon as he arrives! Besides, all this time it’s been Little Sakura collecting the Clow Cards, and that brat wants to take them away so easily! At least he should do a dogeza, face down kneeling and begging you to give them to him!”

”Little Hei, isn’t that a bit too harsh...?”

This time Illya also smiled wryly trying to calm things down, but Little Hei snorted in dissatisfaction.

”Against people like him, you need to show them some colors; otherwise, they won’t know their own worth! Little Sakura, find a time to meet him and have a battle. Whoever wins should get the cards. Don’t worry, I’ll assist you on the sidelines...”

”There’s no need for that...”

Luckily, Little Ke quickly spoke up; otherwise, Little Hei might really incite Little Sakura into a showdown with Li Xiaolang.

”Little Sakura, you don’t have to think too much. You’re the one who opened the Book of Seals and awakened me. As I mentioned when we first met, this book can only be opened by someone with magic power. Not to mention...”

While speaking, Little Ke summoned several other Clow Cards.

”These cards all have Little Sakura’s name written on them, so you’re the rightful owner of the Clow Cards.”

”I see...”

Gazing at the Clow Cards spinning around her, Little Sakura blushed shyly. Shisei then watched Little Sakura, and nervously asked.

”So, what should we do next?”

”If I’m guessing correctly, he will also try to collect Clow Cards, just like that blonde girl.”

Illya shared her thoughts once more, but Little Hei snorted disdainfully.

”I don’t think this brat is as cute as that blonde girl.”

”Teacher... what should we do?”

Nanoha looked toward Fang Zheng and nervously asked, but Fang Zheng shrugged.

”Do nothing, just like with the blonde girl. Having one more competitor can be a good thing, pushing each other to improve. Nanoha, if you want to seal the Seed of Holy Stone next time without it being stolen by that girl, you need to keep working hard.”

”Okay, teacher, I understand!”

Upon hearing this, Nanoha clenched her fists and nodded vigorously.

Fang Zheng had no intention of intervening in this matter.

This situation differs from Fate’s. Fang Zheng was aware that, in the original story, Li Xiaolang was never really hurt, unlike Fate, who would face punishment if she failed, being beaten by Precia. For Li Xiaolang, even if he didn’t collect many Clow Cards, there wouldn’t be any consequences—the worst would be getting whacked over his report card during holidays...

But that’s normal, and Fang Zheng obviously doesn’t care about that.

Saying Chinese kids not getting hit over report cards is rare.

Getting hit is normal.

Like, ”Why didn’t you get 100 marks, only 90”, ”Do you think you can go through the summer with these grades?”, ”I work hard every day to provide for you, is this how you repay society with your grades?”

Then a round of bamboo shoots stir-fried with meat ensues.

This is normal, but it’s different for Fate’s side. Even the strictest Chinese parents rarely tie their kids up and beat them into unconsciousness—the few who do end up in news.

Therefore, regarding Li Xiaolang and Little Sakura’s matter, Fang Zheng decided to leave it to the power of original storyline correction. If sparks of romance still fly between Sakura and Syaoran, great; if not, Fang Zheng won’t push it. In short, it’s all up to fate.

But regarding Fate’s side... Fang Zheng had to think carefully.

He could follow the original storyline and let Nanoha communicate with Fate. If the world’s storyline correction power is fine, Fate and Nanoha will continue to be friends. But what if something goes wrong? Currently, storyline correction seems intact, like when Fate first met Nanoha in the original, and Fate defeated Nanoha and took the Seed of Holy Stone.

However, in this world, Fate and Nanoha ended up in a close fight, but even then, Fate managed to snatch the Seed of Holy Stone and left because of the sudden appearance of those Shadow Creatures.

What will happen the next time they encounter each other? Will Nanoha easily defeat Fate, or will Fate beat Nanoha again? Up to now, Fang Zheng doesn’t know how it will unfold, but he plans to observe for a while longer before making a decision.

”Beep—!!”

As Fang Zheng was pondering, suddenly, a piercing alarm sounded, and Shisei quickly opened her personal terminal to report.

”Teacher! There’s a magic power reaction in Sector A13, and that blonde girl has been spotted!”

Here already? Such a coincidence.

Upon hearing Shisei’s report, Fang Zheng rubbed his forehead and then looked at Nanoha.

”Go on, Nanoha, it’s up to you now.”

”Okay, teacher!!”

Upon Fang Zheng’s words, Nanoha nodded and quickly transformed before flying out the window, while Fang Zheng gestured to Little Sakura to come over.

”Alright, let’s watch. Maybe you’ll get some inspiration from Nanoha’s interaction with that blonde girl?”
