Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1194: Chapter 1193: Found You!

After learning about the situation of magical girls in this world from Sakurazawa Kyoko, even the most oblivious people would sense something was amiss. Therefore, their objective changed once again.

”Our main target now is to find QB.”

Fang Zheng decisively issued the order.

”However, you need to be careful. This time we will change our approach. Illya, Little Hei, Little Sakura, you three will be responsible for the search. Each of you has unique skills to avoid detection, so this shouldn’t be difficult for you.”

”Yes, teacher.”

”Understood, big brother.”

”Understood, MASTER.”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s orders, Little Sakura, Illya, and Little Hei nodded in agreement.

”This time, your target is simple. Since they are magical girls, I believe that, like you, most of them are students. Therefore, our main focus will be on schools. Tomorrow morning, the three of you will visit the schools in these districts to see if you can find magical girls. After all, generally speaking, QB is either with a magical girl or searching for someone to become one...”

”However, be cautious. I suspect this QB might be problematic, so after finding QB, do not rush to contact it, and notify the others immediately... Nanoha, Fate!”

”Present!”

”Tomorrow, you’ll be stationed at the city’s highest point, and upon receiving a call for help, set off immediately.

”Yes.”

”Alright, you can rest now.”

After confirming their plan for tomorrow, Fang Zheng clapped his hands, and the girls dispersed to rest. Meanwhile, Fang Zheng walked to the gate of the old factory and peeked outside. Soon, a pitch-black figure flashed by in an alley and quickly disappeared into the darkness.

Although he didn’t see the face clearly, Fang Zheng was sure this figure was the first magical girl he encountered when entering this world.

The way she pays attention to us seems rather focused...

Looking at the distant night and the flickering lights, Fang Zheng was silent for a moment, then closed the gate.

In any case, you will meet when the time is right.

That night, everything was normal.

When everyone woke up the next morning, nothing like last night occurred. After freshening up and having breakfast, the girls immediately set off towards their respective targets, according to Fang Zheng’s instructions.

”So this is Mitakihara Middle School.”

Hiding in the nearby bushes, Illya cautiously peeked outside. This time, she was smart enough to know that even if she manifested a uniform, she would still be stopped and questioned by the police. In Japan, schools have fixed uniforms, and among a crowd wearing the same uniform, someone in a different one would definitely stand out.

But Illya had her own plan.

She secretly took out her Magic Wand, then drew the ”ASSASSIN” card from beneath her skirt, gently tapping it while quietly chanting.

”ASSASSIN, Phantasmal Summoning!”

With Illya’s quiet incantation, in the next moment, a pink magic glow enveloped her. Following a ”snap,” it shattered. What was initially a pink magical girl outfit transformed into an entirely different attire.

Illya now wore a skull mask, like something bought from a festival, on the side of her head, and her entire body was cloaked in a tattered, pitch-black cape. Not only that, she also carried a greatsword taller than herself.

”Ugh... this doesn’t look like an ASSASSIN at all.”

Looking at her pitch-black armor and the greatsword on her back, Illya couldn’t help but mutter.

Luckily, the ASSASSIN skill of breath concealment was still effective, so despite her complaints, after transforming into ASSASSIN, Illya quickly leaped towards the campus.

With the sound of the bell, the previously bustling school building quieted down significantly.

”How interesting...”

Walking down the empty hallway, Illya curiously peeked into classrooms here and there, enjoying a sense of freedom. She was a model student who never skipped class, rarely took leave, and here she was, wandering carefree during class time, something she’d never done before.

But now, she could do so without fear of being caught... It was exhilarating.

”Whoa!”

However, just as Illya was happily bouncing upstairs, a pitch-black figure suddenly appeared beside her, causing her to yelp. However, when she focused, she saw a girl with long black straight hair carrying a school bag turn the corner, heading to a classroom as if nothing had happened.

Is she late?

But then again, why does this girl look so familiar?

Out of curiosity, Illya followed the black-haired girl as she walked ahead. The girl paused at the doorway of a classroom, and a moment later, a voice called out from inside.

”Akemi-san, please come in.”

Upon hearing the teacher’s words, the black-haired girl walked into the class without expression, stood in front, and introduced herself in a soft voice.

”My name is Akemi Homura. Please guide me.”

Perhaps due to her chilly ambiance or some other reason, an awkward applause filled the classroom after some time.

”So her name is Akemi Homura... How interesting, such a fiery and cool name.”

Listening, Illya couldn’t help but comment. At that moment, she suddenly sensed that for some reason, Akemi Homura turned her gaze towards where she was hiding.

Huh? Wait, I shouldn’t be discovered, right? My breath concealment is rank A!

Startled by Akemi Homura’s gaze, Illya instinctively ducked beside her, then curiously peeked again, only to see the girl’s gaze merely sweep the doorway before retracting.

”Phew... scared me, it seems I wasn’t noticed...”

Watching the black-haired girl take her seat, Illya patted her chest, gathering her courage anew.

”Keep going, the mission isn’t over yet!”

And so, the day passed.

By sunset, Illya still hadn’t found any clues. Not even a strange creature, nor had she seen a magical girl.

”Ugh... Seems there’s nothing here...”

Standing on the rooftop of the already deserted school building, looking down at the courtyard, Illya sighed.

”Maybe I should check with the others...”

”Beep!!”

At that moment, her personal terminal rang, and Little Hei’s voice came through to Illya’s ears.

”This is Little Hei. I’ve found that strange creature! Come meet up, the location is the abandoned underground passage of the shopping street! It’s being chased by someone! Looks like they’re trying to kill it!”

”What?”

Hearing this, Illya was surprised.

”I’ll be right there!”
