Chapter 1159: Chapter 1158: Nanoha, the Blonde Girl, and the Bet

”Found it, Nanoha!!”

When Nanoha and Yuno arrived at the activation site of the Seed of Holy Stone, they could see a beam of light shooting into the sky.

”Oh no, this is a bustling area! That girl is actually using this method to forcefully awaken the Seed of Holy Stone?!”

Seeing the crowd around discussing in surprise, Yuno was also taken aback.

”Nanoha, I’ll set up the barrier, you immediately seal the Seed of Holy Stone!”

”Got it!!”

Upon hearing Yuno’s words, Nanoha quickly sped towards the Seed of Holy Stone, while Yuno also swiftly landed on the ground. He then reached out his hand, and soon, with a faint magic radiance, the world’s colors instantly changed. The entire area was thus isolated, and the pedestrians on the street disappeared.

At this moment, Nanoha also arrived at the location of the Seed of Holy Stone. Due to being forcibly activated by magic power, this Seed of Holy Stone did not transform into a creature, but instead floated quietly in the air, motionless.

Just as Nanoha reached the vicinity of the Seed of Holy Stone, another girl with long blonde twin-tails landed on a utility pole not far from her.

”Wait a moment!”

Seeing the appearance of the blonde girl, Nanoha hurriedly called out. Hearing Nanoha’s voice, the blonde girl’s movements paused slightly, and she turned her head to look at Nanoha. Looking at the blonde girl in front of her, Nanoha began to speak.

”Last time... I didn’t introduce myself. My name is Nanoha Takamachi, I’m in the third grade at Private Seishou University Elementary School. What’s your name?”

”......”

However, in the face of Nanoha’s questions, the blonde girl remained silent.

”Why are you collecting the Seed of Holy Stone?”

”......”

The blonde girl showed no intention of speaking, but Nanoha was not discouraged and continued.

”Although you said before that ’conversation can’t resolve anything,’ I believe some things must be spoken. Only through dialogue can we understand each other. Perhaps it’s inevitable that we fight, but I don’t want to battle without understanding anything!”

”Exactly.”

Seeing Nanoha’s words on the screen, Fang Zheng nodded approvingly, then turned to Little Sakura and the others.

”Just as Nanoha said, whether it’s her, you, or others, we might all encounter battles. The problem is not the battle itself; what’s important is knowing why we fight. At least, we must let others know our reasons for fighting or learn why our opponent fights. Of course... even if we know the reason, it doesn’t always mean we can eliminate conflict. But it’s better than fighting blindly and then realizing both sides have the same goal... That wouldn’t be very funny.”

”Hmm...”

Listening to this, Little Sakura tightly gripped the Key of Seals and nodded vigorously.

Meanwhile, Nanoha’s voice continued in the screen.

”The reason I’m collecting the Seed of Holy Stone is because Lord Yuno is searching for them. He discovered the Seed of Holy Stone, and he must ensure they are returned to their original place, so I help. Even though it was completely by chance, I’m collecting the Seed of Holy Stone by my own will! I don’t want to let the city where I live and my friends around me face danger! This is my reason!”

”.........”

Hearing this, the blonde girl’s expression seemed to change. She hesitated for a moment, then closed her eyes and spoke.

”I do it for...”

However, before the blonde girl could finish, a voice suddenly interrupted her.

”Fate, there’s no need to answer her!”

With the voice, a red big dog suddenly appeared, landing in front of Nanoha, glaring at her fiercely.

”There’s nothing to say to a little girl living a carefree life under protection. Our most essential mission is to capture the Seed of Holy Stone!”

”......”

Hearing this, the blonde girl shut her mouth again, then gazed deeply at Nanoha before flying towards the Seed of Holy Stone once more.

”Nanoha, quickly stop her. I’ll handle this side!”

During this moment, Yuno also rushed over, blocking the red big dog. Hearing Yuno’s words, Nanoha nodded and quickly charged towards Fate.

The situation suddenly became tense, but for the audience before the screen, it was far from simple.

”What’s going on? What’s that dog here to mess things up for!?”

Little Hei clapped his hands in discontent.

”The mood was good just now, and that girl was already moved by Nanoha, how did that dog end up interrupting! It’s just a few words, how much time could it waste!”

”You’re right, it was so close...”

Little Sakura sighed, looking at the screen in front of her with a complex expression.

At the moment, Nanoha and the blonde girl once again began to battle. However, this time, the blonde girl seemed not to intend to fight with Nanoha but focused on the Seed of Holy Stone. Nanoha evidently noticed this and continued to obstruct the blonde girl, preventing her success.

”Move!”

Finally, the blonde girl couldn’t hold back.

”If you don’t move, I won’t be polite!”

”I won’t move!”

Nanoha tightly gripped the magic wand again, staring at the blonde girl, then seemed to think of something and spoke.

”We both have the Seed of Holy Stone as our goal, so... how about a wager?”

Hearing this, the blonde girl furrowed her brows again, looking at Nanoha as if she didn’t understand her meaning.

Nanoha did not explain further, directly unfolded the Heart of the Rising Sun, revealing the previously sealed Seeds of Holy Stone. Seeing these Seeds of Holy Stone, the blonde girl’s expression finally changed. She stared at the Seeds of Holy Stone, silent for a moment, then asked.

”What kind of wager?”

”Very simple.”

Upon hearing the blonde girl speak again, Nanoha finally sighed in relief. She took back the Seeds of Holy Stone and looked at the blonde girl again.

”Let’s have a match to decide the winner. If I lose, I’ll give these Seeds of Holy Stone to you. But if you lose, I want to know your name and your reason for collecting the Seed of Holy Stone!”

”.........”

This time, the blonde girl did not respond immediately; she thought for a moment, then nodded as if reaching an agreement with someone.

”Okay, no problem.”

”Phew...”

Hearing the girl’s answer, Nanoha finally relaxed, showing a relieved smile. But at this moment, the blonde girl spoke again.

”But...”

”But?”

”As for my name, I can tell you now.”

Softly saying this, the blonde girl looked at Nanoha.

”My name is Fate, Fate Testarossa.”

”So... can I call you Fate?”

”...Sure.”

”Okay, Fate!”

Finally being able to talk with Fate, Nanoha’s face showed a happy smile. Then she lifted the Heart of the Rising Sun in her hand.

”I will surely find out your reason for collecting the Seed of Holy Stone!”

Facing Nanoha’s words, Fate didn’t say much more, instead silently raising her magitech device.

”I will not lose.”
