Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1195: Chapter 1194: Duel of Gun and Sword (Part 1)

In the dim underground passage, it was pitch black.

A small figure was sprinting ahead, while another figure pursued closely behind.

”Whoosh! Whoosh whoosh!!”

Purple magic bullets were being intermittently fired, targeting the small figure in front. The small figure struggled desperately, attempting to escape pursuit. However, no matter how hard it tried, it couldn’t escape the chase. Occasionally, a magic bullet grazed by, leaving bloodstains on its body.

This scene also appeared on Fang Zheng and Shisei’s screens, streamed through Little Hei’s personal terminal.

”It seems we’re not the only ones looking for this thing.”

Seeing the small, battered white creature frantically running ahead, Fang Zheng sighed, and Shisei nodded in agreement.

”Indeed, looking at it like this, it seems quite pitiful.”

As Shisei mentioned, at this moment, the white, peculiar creature on the screen was covered in wounds, its movements not even as agile. However, the pursuer behind it showed no sympathy, firing one magic bullet after another, trying to annihilate it.

”Teacher, that child is the Magical Girl we previously encountered, right?”

Shisei pointed to the screen, where a Magical Girl closely pursued the white creature, and Fang Zheng nodded.

”Yes, that’s her... It appears that we’re not the only ones who find something odd about the being called QB... But we still don’t know if it really is QB.”

At that moment in the footage, the white creature rushed into a ventilation duct, attempting to escape. But not only that...

”Big brother, someone’s coming!”

Through personal terminal searches, Little Hei quickly detected something unusual. Soon, a pink-haired girl appeared, looking around as if searching for something. This clearly wasn’t just a simple coincidence.

”What should we do now?”

”You go retrieve that white thing; Little Sakura and Illya will come to support you. If any issues arise, create a barrier and head straight up; Nanoha and Fate will be waiting to support you over there. Just remember, given how dangerous that thing is, don’t underestimate it.”

Facing the situation, Fang Zheng quickly issued commands.

”Understood!”

Meanwhile, in the underground passage, Madoka Kaname continued looking around, bewildered and unsure.

Just moments ago, she had been enjoying music with friends at a nearby CD store. But suddenly, a voice calling for help had echoed in her mind, luring her into this closed-off area under renovation.

”Is anyone there? Who’s calling for me?”

Cautiously walking through the dim corridor, Madoka Kaname called out nervously.

”Crash... Crash...”

Just then, the ceiling overhead abruptly collapsed, and a white, heavily injured creature fell heavily to the ground alongside it.

”Ah———!”

Seeing this white creature fall from the sky, Madoka Kaname screamed and hurried over, trying to rescue it.

But suddenly, a series of flickering cold lights appeared, and several large sword blades rapidly descended, forming a cage around the white creature.

Soon after, Madoka Kaname watched in astonishment as a girl with long silvery-white hair and tanned skin, dressed in strange clothing, appeared out of nowhere and blocked her path.

”Sorry, big sister, this area is off-limits to unauthorized personnel. We’re conducting a mission; could you kindly leave?”

Little Hei grinned mischievously at the pink-haired girl in front of her, and faced with Little Hei’s sudden appearance, Madoka Kaname was clearly taken aback. She instinctively took two steps back, but just then, the white creature let out a few sorrowful cries. Hearing this sound, the pink-haired girl paused once again.

”But, um... That child is severely hurt; shouldn’t we help it? At least, we should, we should let it...”

Speaking, the pink-haired girl tried to bypass Little Hei to assist the white creature. However, as she moved, Little Hei swiftly swung her right hand, and in the next moment, a sharp blade rested against the pink-haired girl’s throat, halting her actions.

”Big sister, this isn’t something you should meddle with. You’re just an ordinary person. If I were to advise you, it would be best for you to leave here immediately.”

”Uh... ah...”

Staring at the silver-haired girl before her, feeling the cold blade against her neck, Madoka Kaname inhaled sharply. At that instant, her human instinct for survival prevailed, and under Little Hei’s threat, Madoka Kaname finally started to retreat slowly.

”Good.”

Seeing that Madoka Kaname followed instructions, Little Hei smiled playfully and then lowered her dagger.

”Now then...”

”Clang!”

However, before Little Hei could finish her sentence, accompanied by the sound of chains, another figure leapt down from above. Seeing this figure, Madoka Kaname’s eyes widened in surprise.

”Homura!!”

Indeed, appearing before Madoka Kaname was none other than Akemi Homura, the transfer student who had just arrived in her class today. However, now Akemi Homura wore peculiar clothing, coldly staring at Madoka Kaname without saying a word.

”Ah, it’s you, the black-haired big sister.”

At this moment, Little Hei also noticed Akemi Homura, cheerfully greeting her. However, Akemi Homura looked at Little Hei, frowning slightly.

”It’s you...”

”That’s right, it’s me. Are you also here to find this thing, Big Sister? It’s called... QB, right?”

”Yes.”

”That’s good.”

Hearing Akemi Homura’s response, Little Hei finally breathed a sigh of relief.

”Our big brother is looking for it to ask something, I was thinking how troublesome it would be if we found the wrong one, but luckily, it seems we got it right. So...”

As she spoke, Little Hei walked to the side of the Sword Cage, reached out, and grabbed QB, shaking it in front of Akemi Homura.

”I’m taking this, okay?”

”Whatever.”

”Wait, wait!!”

Seeing this scene, Madoka Kaname instantly screamed out again.

”That child... what are you going to do to it? It asked me to save it, I...”

”I say, Big Sister, don’t jump to conclusions. I’m not a bad person.”

Seeing Madoka Kaname’s tearful appearance, Little Hei rolled her eyes helplessly.

”Just because something looks pitiful doesn’t mean it’s a good person. Criminals being chased by the police are even more miserable than this. Do you think criminals are good people too... So this... I’ll be taking it?”

After saying this, Little Hei grabbed QB again, shaking it in front of Akemi Homura. The latter just nodded slightly without saying anything.

However, at this moment, suddenly, a voice rang out.

”That won’t do.”

Accompanied by this voice, several ribbons suddenly appeared on the ground, jumping up as if they had a life of their own, tightly binding Little Hei and Akemi Homura. Then, a girl with golden curls came over. Although she wore a smile, her tone revealed uncontrollable anger.

”That child is my friend. Can you please give it back to me?”

”Wow, another one, what a bother... ah!”

However, just as Little Hei was about to say something, the QB, which she had been holding in her arms, suddenly took the opportunity to leap away, escaping from Little Hei’s hands and quickly running towards Madoka Kaname and the golden-haired girl.

”Ah———!”

Seeing the white creature running towards her, Madoka Kaname hurriedly crouched down, reaching out to pick it up.

However, at that moment...

”Wind, please transform into binding chains———WINDY!”

A howling gale arose from the flat ground, transforming into a translucent barrier in the next moment, enveloping QB within it. Then, Little Sakura swiftly charged from the other side of the passage, landing next to Little Hei. At the same time, her controlled ”Wind Card” steadily pulled QB back.

”Little Hei, are you okay?”

”I’m fine, just a little surprised.”

Exchanging a joke with Little Sakura, Little Hei once again looked at the golden-haired girl in front of her.

”It looks like you don’t intend to let us take QB, Big Sister.”

”Of course not.”

At this moment, the golden-haired girl also raised her right hand, and as she did so, several firearms floated behind her.

”This child is my treasured friend. I advise you to let it go, or else I won’t be polite.”

”Ah, um, I...”

”Little Sakura, leave QB to you!”

But just at this moment, Little Hei suddenly interrupted Little Sakura, and then several flashes of blade light appeared. In the next moment, the ribbons that had bound Little Hei were instantly torn apart and cut open. Little Hei reached out, and soon, two daggers, one black and one white, appeared in her hands.

”I’ll take care of this Big Sister. I heard Nanoha fought with the magical girls of this world before, and I’m a bit itchy to try too. I’ll handle this curly-haired sister!”

”Ah... okay, then I’ll leave it to you...”

Hearing this, Little Sakura nodded, obediently controlling the Wind Card to bind QB and stepping to the side. Little Hei then grinned, giving a slight smile to the golden-haired girl.

”Come on, Big Sister, show me what you’ve got, try taking someone from my hands!”

At this point, Little Hei’s eyes squinted slightly, and then she muttered an almost inaudible spell text softly.

”I’m the bone of my sword...”
