Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 634: Chapter 634 This is too barbaric!

Sword Blade reappeared, and Yang Yu dragged the blade across the warrior’s exposed purple garments, slicing off a square segment and taking it with him while also using the burly warrior as his personal shield.

The Magician, who was chanting Magic, suddenly didn’t know how to aim so as to bypass his own warrior and take down Yang Yu.

Seizing this opportunity, with black swirling around the Sword Blade, Yang Yu once again used “Shadow Deception.” With the all-around boost from “Unyielding to Despair,” Yang Yu abruptly closed in on the Boxer who had exerted “Gravity Control” on him.

“How come it feels like there’s no effect? Is there something wrong with my Skill?”

Seeing Yang Yu’s Speed suddenly increase, even faster than before, the Boxer began to doubt if there was a problem on his end, so he released “Gravity Control” and started to prepare his Defense.

Since his target was himself, he might as well take him down.

However, not until he had released “Gravity Control” did the Boxer realize how foolish his decision had been.

Without the Control, Yang Yu’s Speed was so fast that it left a trailing afterimage, and the Boxer even thought his eyes were failing him.

Such Speed… Is this the Strength of their assassins? No! What kind of assassin carries a Shield and can use those Skills!

Swinging both fists, the Boxer tried to pin Yang Yu to the ground for a wild beating but found that Yang Yu was as slippery as an eel, dodging all of his Attacks and getting behind him.

Letting the Sword Blade lightly graze the Boxer’s body, Yang Yu cut a grid pattern on the back of the Boxer’s bodysuit, taking a piece off as well.

In an instant, the bitter cold invaded the Boxer’s body from the back, and Yang Yu did not linger to fight, instead he returned to his own troops.

The harsh cold of the Selovomen Plain far exceeded Yang Yu’s expectations; he thought that after the sky cleared and he had warmed up, he could withstand the cold for a long time.

But Yang Yu had underestimated the harsh cold.

During the Attack, the more active Yang Yu was, the colder he felt his body becoming.

The moment his right arm was pierced, a frostbite Status began to surface on him.

Suffering from frostbite, as long as one continued to remain in the cold environment, the Life Value would keep decreasing, and movement would become stiff.

Stiffness was fatal for a game player.

Even if Yang Yu had triggered the title “Unyielding to Despair,” boosting his attributes in all aspects, he had absolutely no intention of cutting off a few more pieces of fabric for research.

With Life Value below 10%, in such an elite troop, even a tiny unpredictability, or a momentary lapse, could result in GAME OVER.

Therefore, before falling victim to frostbite, Yang Yu had fully retreated back to his squad, found a safe spot, added a few clothes, taken frostbite medicine, and let Iyas use Holy Light on him for Healing.

This freezing weather was a massive advantage for the Beastmen; if it weren’t for this thing…

Holding the fabric he had cut from the Luo Ze Elite, Yang Yu could feel the warmth emanating from it; despite being just a thin piece, its warmth did not change with the cold wind.

The purple bodysuit that Yang Yu had ripped at the back continued to pull its threads towards the gap, but the opening was too big to recover from.

The backsides of the Boxer and the warrior were instantly frozen stiff.

Facing Yang Yu, who had returned to his troops, the Boxer and warrior gnashed their teeth in rage and walked towards him.

But the Boxer couldn’t manage more than a few steps before his legs began to tremble uncontrollably, and he unwillingly knelt on the snowy ground as the cold that penetrated his back mercilessly froze his nerves.

The warrior fared slightly better and could take a few more steps, but he likewise lost the Strength to walk towards Yang Yu.

Inspired by this, the Beastman Army no longer fixated on piercing the bodies of the Luo Ze Elites in front of them, but while injuring the enemies, tried to rip off large sections of the somewhat strange purple bodysuits from the Humans just like Yang Yu had.

With sword, claw, or even teeth.

One Beastman after another bravely sacrificed themselves just to create an opportunity to weaken the enemy.

“Are these guys a bunch of madmen?”

A Luo Ze Elite wielding dual blades surveyed the battlefield; he was the leader of this sortie, his name was Kui Yi. Because of the Beastmen’s nearly desperate assault, the ranks of the Luo Ze Empire’s elite sustained rapid losses.

“It really is just like imagined, a considerably barbaric inferior race.”

Kui Yi turned back to see the huge Snowman Jie’er Ate and the Silver Wolf locked in fierce combat, showing no intention of supporting the battle on this side.

As time passed, the effect of “Heavenly God’s Descent” on Jie’er Ate’s body also slowly faded, his size suddenly shrinking by a large margin, becoming almost the same size as Lotcar.

The two engaged in the purest clash of strength and, for a moment, neither gained the upper hand.

What was even more fatal was that Kui Yi had no idea how the fallen Priest was fairing.

The Priest’s quick loss of combat ability was their tactical blunder in this war.

If things continued this way, even if they completed the extermination task, they were bound to suffer heavy losses.

Moreover…

Kui Yi looked toward the man wearing a mask who had put on some heavy clothing and stood in front of the troops, reorganizing them for the attack.

There was never such a man mentioned in the information given by the Empire to Kui Yi’s forces.

Could this man also be a hidden secret weapon just like us?

Regardless, as the leader, Kui Yi could no longer allow the losses to grow.

“Retreat!”

The simple command reached the ears of all Luo Ze Elite and likewise drilled into the ears of all the Beastmen.

Hearing that the Luo Ze Elite were retreating, all the Beastman Soldiers were almost simultaneously invigorated and launched a fierce offensive.

Kui Yi shouted at the Snowman, “Jie’er Ate, stop getting entangled with that Silver Wolf. That skill should have recharged by now; I need you to help cover our retreat!”

Although Jie’er Ate had just begun to enjoy fighting an opponent who matched his own might, he felt somewhat dissatisfied upon receiving such an order.

But since he was affiliated with the Human side, he had to obey commands from his superiors like any other soldier.

“There’s no helping it then! If there’s a chance next time, we’ll have another match.”

Saying so, Jie’er Ate punched Lotcar back and, raising both arms, violently pounded the ground to release “Earth Split” once again.

Innumerable cracks expanded from the center of Jie’er Ate’s fists as the ground rippled like a calm lake surface disturbed by a thrown stone, creating waves upon waves.

The Luo Ze Elites standing on the ground swayed as if following the movement of “Earth Split,” riding the “earth waves” to jump down into the deep pit from where they came.

The Beastmen, however, were greatly affected by “Earth Split,” with many almost losing their balance. The ground beneath their feet tore apart, revealing dark crevices.

With one misstep, their feet could be trapped within, and it was uncertain how much time and effort it would take to extract themselves.
