Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 602: Chapter 602 The Queen’s Request

As the elves settled into meditation, Qian Xialan finished his conversation with the Elf Queen and, with Ming Dalak’s guidance, stepped in front of the elves to deliver a passionate speech.

As the acting sovereign of Wansheng Country, Qian Xialan hoped the elves could wholeheartedly support Wansheng Country, help it reclaim the land that rightfully belonged to the nation, and restore the country to prosperity and strength.

The elves were indifferent to another nation’s king, but they still showed the minimum respect due to a sovereign.

Ming Dalak, aware of the elves’ temperaments, decided to wrap things up,

“The mobilization ends here, please follow the mentors I have assigned, and settle in your respective dwellings.

Although they are far from matching your talents in Holy Light, they are adept at everyday life, and you can ask their advice on any matter.

Given the current war situation is against our favor, the time I can give you to adapt is only one month.

I hope you will cooperate well and quickly discover the potential you possess,

so that you may be able to save others on the battlefield in time.”

Ming Dalak naturally joined the elves, and had the priests who accompanied him line up; after which, over a hundred soldiers carrying paper boxes also entered among the elves.

Ming Dalak used a lottery system to assign each priest their disciples.

Some elves did not participate in the lottery.

Those skilled in the use of Holy Light, the Elf Priests, were singled out for special attention and worked with Ming Dalak’s priests to educate the elves.

After saying goodbye to Qian Xialan, Queen Ailena of the elves approached Ming Dalak,

“Ming Dalak, please remember what I said earlier, and be sure to abide by our agreement.”

“Rest assured, Queen, you will definitely not regret today’s decision.

Wansheng Country will also remember everything the Elf Clan has done.”

Ming Dalak’s face showed a friendly smile, devoid of the aggressiveness he had when he previously met the Elf Queen.

“There is one more matter…”

Ailena didn’t continue her words, but turned her head towards Yang Yu, who stood beside Blood Lion Wan Huawen, and Ming Dalak followed her gaze to Yang Yu.

“Him? What is so special about that man that the Queen takes such special care?” Ming Dalak said.

“He saved many of our people, and as a queen, no one knows the pain of losing tribespeople better than I do.”

Ailena placed her hand on her chest and explained to Ming Dalak,

“At first, after that incident occurred, I was bewildered and didn’t think of turning to you.

It was after that man helped us and bluntly pointed out my mistake, telling me that this approach would only lead to the loss of more tribespeople, that I resolved to write that letter.

Uncle, I don’t know the kind of talent Wansheng Country needs.

But I have a feeling that perhaps he is the person you are looking for.

Sadly, his origins are unclear, and my recommendation carries weight but not enough to have him treading on your toes.

I detest the death of our people—the longer the war drags on, the greater the chance of their dying.

I hope this war can end quickly.

He has potential, so I place my hopes on him.

To prevent him from dying on the battlefield before reaching a stature near yours, I wish to grant him some special care and hope you will do as I ask.”

“Nothing could be easier; if he is someone the Queen favors, I will naturally take special care of him.

As for the safety of our tribespeople…

War is extremely cruel, and I cannot guarantee that every elf will be unscathed.

But as long as I am Prime Minister, I will do my utmost to secure benefits for the elves.”

“At least, the Queen need not worry that there will be elves who can’t survive this winter.”

Seeing Ming Dalak’s stance, the Queen did not show any smile, but simply nodded slightly and turned her body to point at Iyas,

“This is Yellow Flower from Kadam Village, a survivor who has been persecuted and then rescued, and has returned to Luoyu City after many trials and tribulations.

Along the way, she has grown remarkably, and I have made an exception to let her join the Personal Guard. She is not only an excellent Archer but also an outstanding Priest.

Having her stay by Potato Thorn’s side, I think, at least, can ensure his safety.”

Having said this, Ailena then introduced Bai Jin to Ming Dalak,

“This one is also a survivor from Kadam Village, Mu Jin.

However, she was not as lucky as Yellow Flower. After being captured, she underwent human brainwashing and was imbued with a great deal of Magic knowledge.

So… she became a Black-haired Elf, only she seems to have used some kind of Magic to hide her black hair.

Initially, I wanted her to be responsible for communicating with you all, but after consideration, I gave up that idea.

She is very shy and seldom speaks.

On the way, she accepted Potato Thorn’s help and returned to the village smoothly.

But there was no place for her in the village anymore.

After much deliberation, I’ve decided to have this Elf follow that man too.

After the war is over, I hope they can find a new home in Wansheng Country.”

Ming Dalak looked at Iyas and Bai Jin.

Bai Jin slightly raised her Magic Wand and clutched her hanging golden hair, appearing flustered and at a loss, fearful of being exposed, while Iyas looked up with a firm chest and a tight ponytail, her eyes were stern.

“These two shall be entrusted to you, take them to meet Mr. Potato Thorn, and please convey my intentions.

I’ve said everything that needs to be said; don’t forget to send someone to act as our liaison officer, my Task is complete.

I should also set out for Luoyu City to continue fulfilling my duties.”

After finishing her words, the Elf Queen’s Personal Guard protected the Elf Queen as she left Blood Lion Wan Huawen’s residence without looking back, leaving only Bai Jin and Iyas behind.

“You also heard what the Queen just said, I hope you can earn your merits working with that man.

As long as you swear loyalty to Wansheng Country and achieve success, our Wansheng Country will certainly not mistreat you.

Come with me!”

Watching Queen Ailena leave, Ming Dalak took Bai Jin and Iyas to where Yang Yu was conversing with Wan Huawen.

…

…

“In this life, it’s inevitable to face setbacks, there’s no need to be disheartened; just try again.”

Wan Huawen successfully struck up a conversation with Yang Yu after entrusting the Task of guarding Qian Xialan to his Disciple,

“Why did it take you so long to come? I almost thought you didn’t want to take me as your mentor.”

“Ahhh, after all, I have my own affairs to attend to. Moreover, I’ve already learned one of the Skills I wanted; there’s no need to come again, right?”

“You’ve already learned it, how can that be, don’t lie to me.”

“I’m not lying to you, I can demonstrate it to you right now…”

“Alright… if you really can do it, then you won’t need to take the tests to join the Daoist School in the future!”

Before Yang Yu could respond, Ming Dalak arrived at his side and said, “Excuse the interruption,” then simply reiterated Queen Ailena’s words once again.

He then left Iyas, going by the name Yellow Flower, and Bai Jin, going by the name Mu Jin, with Yang Yu’s team.
