High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2144: Chapter 365: Unreasonable

”Bang!”

The door of the Wandering Bar was shattered into pieces by a powerful force, the intense air current carried the broken wood splinters in all directions. The big frog that was originally squatting at the door hugged its head, butt pointed high, shivering in the shadow of the entrance.

It was midnight, no students were in the bar, some shadowy figures cloaked in black robes were covering their faces, each looking sneaky. Upon hearing the commotion, they all raised their heads to look outside the door, their eyes revealing uncertain and doubtful expressions. Some cautious ones had already opened their Law books, establishing a Protective Barrier.

Boom!

The overwhelming pressure belonging to the Big Wizard surged into this small bar, squeezing the surrounding columns and walls with creaking noises, the tall wine cabinet trembled slightly, the bottles inside rubbing against each other, producing a continuous soft crashing sound. The eyes of the guests from the dark world revealed looks of horror.

”Get out, all of you!”

A cold voice came from outside the door, sounding extremely unkind.

Whirr! Whirr! Whirr!

Beams of Teleportation light lit up, scrambling toward the doorway. Some even attempted to use space magic directly or leave through the bar’s secret passage but were struck back into the bar by flashes of blue light, finally having to cover their faces and follow behind the others, choosing the only exit the Big Wizard left open.

Luckily, there weren’t hordes of Trident Sword or School Works Committee wizards waiting outside, only four cyan columns stood in the night, supporting a faint blue barrier, the escaping guests transformed into streaks of light scattering around without any obstruction.

Tap, tap, tap.

Crisp footsteps approached from outside to inside the bar.

”Alas.”

From the depths of the bar, an old sigh sounded, even though the face wasn’t visible, just this sigh seemed to reveal a sorrowful countenance: ”...I knew it... once a person starts worrying about their luck, their luck tends to become very bad.①”

While speaking, the Wandering Wizard silently appeared in the hall, dressed in a plain black robe, wearing his iconic Pointed wizard hat, politely tugged the brim forward:

”Good evening, Su Councilor.”

The clear moonlight from the broken door shone upon Su Shijun’s tall figure. She wore a fiery red robe, large red glasses, her hair simply tied behind her head, holding in her arms a little fox yawning.

”Do you know why I’m here?”

The witch gazed expressionlessly at the elder wizard ahead, her voice sounding calm. However, accompanying her query, the bottles in the cabinets behind the bar began exploding one by one, shattering a quarter of them in an instant.

The Wandering Wizard’s eye twitched slightly:

”The Wandering Bar is just a small bar...”

Before he finished, the bottles in the cabinets around the bar exploded half, the rich wine liquid evaporated in the boiling magic power, the entire bar immersed in a complex aroma.

”Give me a name.”

The witch spoke again, bluntly making her demand.

The Wandering Wizard revealed a wry smile.

”I’m just a businessman,” he gingerly organized his words amidst the surging atmosphere ahead of him, ”According to the rules of the Wandering Bar...”

Bang!

A massive cyan shadow sprang from behind the witch, smashing heavily toward the elder wizard in front. A trace of helplessness passed through the Wandering Wizard’s eyes, his figure flickered, splitting into two halves, avoiding the cyan shadow, but the tables, chairs, bar, and wine cabinets behind him couldn’t escape, shattering with a muffled sound into dust.

The little fox in the witch’s arms gleefully waved its claws, squeaking, every strand of fur bursting with an urge to smash everything around.

”I’m not one of those old geezers at the First University, no friendship with you.”

Su Shijun pacified the little creature in her arms, unusually speaking more words: ”I’m also not a three-year-old, neither the family nor parliament will bother me for smashing your shop. So, if you want to keep this shop open, give me a name.”

While speaking, the air around her slightly rippled, her figure seemed to grow a bit.

This was a sign that a Big Wizard was about to release their True Form.

The Wandering Wizard could imagine with his toes that if a Big Wizard released their True Form in his shop, the consequences would be dire. Even though he was also a Big Wizard, he had no effective way to stop it. Would he have to go mad together with the young lady opposite and blow up his own shop?

”Merlin Above!”

Seeing the witch’s figure seemingly grow a bit again, the elder wizard had to raise both hands, taking a small step back: ”You can’t do this, Wandering Bar needs to help suppress the rumors related to you, if you destroy the shop...”

”That’s your problem.”

The witch scratched the ears of the little fox in her arms, showing a hint of impatience: ”What’s the point of rumors! I learned to block out that noise during school... If not for you guys going too far tonight, I would be in the lab doing experiments! You think I enjoy smashing this shabby shop?”

Before finishing her words, she suddenly squinted: ”Why does the Wandering Bar need to help suppress those rumors? ... Was there a commission? ... If it were Qingqiu, I should know... Parliament or school shouldn’t be doing this pointless work... pointless work... William isn’t so meticulous... was it Milton?”

In just a few words, she deduced a name.

The Wandering Wizard’s expression became subtly as he looked at the witch: ”We promise never to disclose any client information.”

Su Shijun snorted, turned around leaving directly while holding the little fox. Behind her, as the fox tail swirled, the bottles left tilted on the wine cabinet shattered again.

Ribbit!

After the witch left, the big frog at the door squealed as it jumped into the shop and directly into the Wandering Wizard’s embrace, shrinking to the size of a palm, tears streaming, trembling evidently frightened tonight.

”My wine!”

The elder wizard looked around, at the empty wine cabinet and the floor strewn with glass shards, sighing repeatedly: ”Really didn’t leave a single bottle for me...”

The small frog in his arms blinked, opened its mouth, and flicked its tongue, retrieving an unopened Amber Light from the bar corner. Perhaps because its original position was very inconspicuous, it didn’t suffer the disaster.

The Wandering Wizard’s eyes lit up: ”Oh! There’s actually one that slipped through?”

He took the bottle, carefully inspecting the clear wine inside.

”...Such a fiery young girl.”

The elder wizard shook his head, sighed, and retrieved a feather pen, writing a line of beautiful cursive on the last wine bottle: ”Bottle not broken by Su Shijun.”

Then, he held up the bottle, examining the newly filled label, scrutinizing it for a moment, finally nodding slightly, placing it in the most visible spot on the wine cabinet, with a less sure tone murmuring to himself: ”Like this... should recover a bit of losses...”
