COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Other side.

Hikigaya-kun quickly received feedback from Karuizawa.

The person that Sakayanagi-san arranged to follow has been eliminated.

Um...

From a certain perspective, junior Amasawa is very attractive. Her execution and action capabilities have always been off the charts.

But Karuizawa-san is also working hard here.

This is also the reason why after leaving Class D, Hikigaya-kun still wanted to pay for the other party’s living expenses and arrange things.

Karuizawa is very reliable.

But it’s a pity that ordinary people have their limits. For example, if she is ordered to take entrance exam to University of Tokyo, she probably won’t be eat grass for long.

”So, what are you going to do next?” Hikigaya-kun turned his attention back to Yukinoshita Yukino who seemed not to understand a single thing.

???

”Your sister is coming over, and she will definitely talk to you privately later.....”

”....” Yukino, indeed, since that person has come to this school, she definitely won’t just be a participant.

There will definitely be things that make her feel uncomfortable.

”Actually--”

She was thinking, since that person is here, will her mother come too?

Yukino has always been protected by her mother, and even her desire for independence was...

In other words, mother thinks that the child still needs protection and is a weak person.

Realizing this, Yukino sighed.

But she was unable to perform in a way that would satisfy her mother.

After all, her elder sister is so outstanding, and as a younger sister, she can only keep chasing behind.

”I don’t think my sister likes me,” Yukino finally concluded with a depressed calm face.

’ah? Don’t like you? Is the relationship between sisters not good?’ Because of what happened to the Horikita siblings, Hachiman doesn’t simply think so.

Better to say.

If the elder sister really likes to make things difficult for her younger sister, maybe it’s because... she knows that the path her younger sister wants to take may not be so smooth.

Then maybe it would be better to tell the other person directly.

Why is it so awkward?

On the other hand, Yukinoshita is the person that teacher Shizuka Hiratsuka, who recommended Hikigaya-kun to this wonderful place, wants to help.

Therefore, he also needs to provide some assistance to repay the kindness.

”Then don’t meet her before the performance. You are not mature enough now compared to when you first entered school. You can’t give her a perfect answer yet. So the more you get in touch with someone, the more likely they will notice that you haven’t made much progress....In that case, answer it on the stage.”

On stage.

In other words, let her sister see how she shines...or in other words, how to face this school seriously.

This performance was the result of hard work of her class and herself, and this could serve as her response to her sister.

Yukinoshita Yukino’s eyes seemed to have become sharper.

”Okay.” Seeing that her momentum was rising again, Hikigaya-kun made his own request.

”The patrol work is almost over, and next, please follow me to the chairman’s office.”

”Go to the chairman’s office?” Yukino was a little confused.

Because it’s a bit strange to go to Chairman’s office at a time like this.

”I was originally planning to entrust someone else to take the cash I exchanged back home. But now that former student council president Horikita Manabu is here, I believe in his character, so I can just ask him to help me bring the money back again.”

’So, going to Chairman’s office is actually to exchange money? Today is Cultural Festival. Others exchange their points for vouchers to make purchases, but you alone do a large amount of points you have accumulated for cash, and then arrange for someone you know to take it back, returning home in glory.’

”.....” Yukino realised her thoughts were getting outrageous the more she goes along with him.

This needs to be contained.

She realized instantly that the boy in front of her was Vice-president of the student council of this school, the man who stood next to President Sakayanagi, the top student.

Even if other person is doing well now, he seems to be like a gold fish in water in this school.

But at the time... it was also a fact that her car caused other party to be injured.

Although she was not the one driving the car, Yukino was indeed sitting inside like an ice princess.

Lunch break time, 12 o’clock sharp.

Hikigaya-kun has a new person beside him.

She has long, beautiful pink-gold hair and wears white socks. This is Ichinose Honami, who has a completely different style from Yukinoshita-san.

Of course, it can be seen that Ichinose doesn’t have that many smiles on her face right now.

Or it seems a little uneasy.

Because now both parties are sitting, Hachiman and Ichinose are sitting together, but opposite them are a mother and daughter.

The mother looks somewhat similar to Ichinose, but is older and a little haggard due to her hard work.

This is her mother, Ichinose Haruko.

Then next to her was Honami’s sister, Ichinose Kokanae.

Moreover, the location where four of them were located was quite delicate; it was in a steak restaurant owned by Ichinose’s class.

”Sizzle, sizzle-”

You can hear sound of the steak just taken off the iron plate and smell the aroma of barbecue.

Steak served with pasta and fried eggs.

There is also a self-service fruit salad, which includes recommended cantaloupe and watermelon, which are not very sweet but very refreshing, as well as blanched beans and pickled sour radish.

Overall, it’s a nice experience to eat here.

The steak house of Ichinose’s class also became packed from 11 o’clock.

After all, fried noodles at the roadside stalls look good, but it is more comfortable to eat in a store during the day.

Even if the price is a little bit higher. There is also air conditioning to cool down.

Therefore, the hard work of Ichinose’s class was rewarded.

And because there are so many cusomers, it is not easy to find an empty seat.

Fortunately, Ichinose has good interpersonal relationships, so her classmates specially cleared the table for them and restrained themselves from eavesdropping.

Or maybe they already knew that Ichinose family was coming for a parent-teacher meeting, but they didn’t expect that Hikigaya-kun would also sit there when it was clearly a personal family meeting.

But all the students in Ichinose’s class were little angels, so although people felt a little confused, didn’t think too much about it.

Those who think more feel that their mentality has improved.

Because if you think about it too much, it becomes like, has Ichinose-san actually been dating Hikigaya-kun all along?

Isn’t she dating some scumbag?

Then, can finally put their minds at ease about the nervousness they felt about Ichinose being cheated by a scumbag.

But some people might be worried because isn’t Hikigaya dating Horikita-san?

But today, didn’t see Hikigaya and Horikita Suzune together.

And now, at dining table.

Ichinose’s sister was a little reserved, with her hands resting on her knees.

Hikigaya-kun also remained silent.

But as an observer of humans, he still gave high scores to the younger sister of the family.

She was like a smaller version of Ichinose.

However, although little girl of the Ichinose family was very cute, the cutest should still be his own sister.

Brother Hikigaya-kun with a simple mind thought to himself.

’But thinking this way also feels a bit unfair, because, although I think it is possible that I will marry Amasawa in the end, there is still a year and a half before my graduation. During this period of time, I cannot be sure whether Amasawa or I will change our mind....Therefore, there is a possibility that I will eventually marry Ichinose. Then after marriage, the younger sister family can also become my younger sister. So, can I use a beautifying filter to improve my evaluation of my sister?’

Despite this, and raining thoughts Hikigaya-kun seemed to be in a state of daydreaming, but remained polite as he sat.

”Hikigaya-kun--” Ichinose seemed to be extremely nervous.

At around 11 o’clock, Hikigaya Hachiman asked her out and went to look for her mother.

The excuse was that her relatives might be invited in.

Although she too had considered this possibility, Ichinose still firmly believed what the homeroom teacher said about guests being chosen randomly.

So, probability of being selected is not high.

But she was mentally prepared and had considered how she would respond if her mother was actually invited in at all!

When Ichinose really met her family whom she hadn’t seen for more than a year, now seemed very nervous.

Of course, for a good kid like Ichinose, there is only one reason that can make a socialite like her go boom!

That is, she and Hikigaya-kun are deceiving their mother and others, tricking them into using 5 million yen given by Hikigaya to pay off their debts and ease the pressure of life.

But this is a lie, which is a bad thing.
