COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”...Are you sure you don’t need it?”

”Well, goal has been achieved... No, it’s a voucher with a limited amount after all, and I thought there would be a time when you would need it.” Yukinoshita’s words sound pleasant, but that just means you have won the panda doll you wanted.

Hachiman actually likes cats very much, but he won’t talk to them like Yukinoshita, or even be so moved by a cute cat doll.

She looks pretty cute though.

But Hikigaya-kun still knows his limits.

”Well, this is--” Only then did Yukino notice Hikigaya Komachi.

”This is my sister. She is one of the 300 guests from outside,” Hachiman introduced warmly.

”Really?” Yukino nodded with a simple stare, ”My name is Yukinoshita Yukino, and I’m currently the secretary of student council, working under Vice President Hikigaya.”

”.....”

”• •” Komachi.

”What’s wrong?” Hachiman noticed his sister’s condition was wrong.

”I..Eh..I was a little stunned. Because Yukino-senpai is very beautiful...Are you sure you are not a relative of Horikita Manabu? I mean his little sister....”

”.....” Yukino.

If a boy said this, she might have sneered back, but other person was, after all, sister of Hikigaya, who had just lent her the voucher.

This little sister looks very cute. Unlike her other little sisters, she seems much more lively.

She actually just saw a pair of cat pajamas on the stall, kind with big cat ears, but it was size S and she couldn’t wear it at all, so she had to give up.

But this little girl Komachi’s figure was very suitable for cat pajamas.

It must be cute to wear.

”I’m sorry, Yukinoshita, my sister was a little rude. She hasn’t seen much of the world.”

”• ? •” Komachi. ’Onii-chan, come on, what do you mean by unsophisticated? I just haven’t seen such a beautiful girl, okay? It’s not my problem she looks exactly what I imagined would be Horikita Suzune based on her brother....’

Komachi also noticed that even though there was such a beautiful girl like Yukino around, her brother was not shaken at all.

It’s quite impressive.

’Is it because his character has improved? Or is it that... all girls in this school are pretty...’ In fact, Komachi had just seen several beautiful girls along the way.

There was a hot girl with a golden ponytail who seemed to be following Komachi, a girl with long beautiful blue hair and a wide forehead with a teardrop mole, and a girl who dressed fashionably and knew how to make herself beautiful.

Etc.

From this perspective, it seems that she is just a little country girl who has entered a foreign world and must have felt her eyes have been broadened.

’However, now there are girls around my brother, it is obviously not appropriate to continue asking such sensitive questions....’

”Well, I saw Kushida-nee...that’s it...I’ll come see you later!” Komachi decided to avoid her and see how the situation develops.

Having said this, she ran away.

”Komachi is really something....”

Hachiman took out his phone and checked the GPS. Kushida was indeed nearby. So maybe, she really went to look for Kushida, ”Then shall we continue our patrol?”

In fact, if Komachi stayed a little longer....he was planning to arrange a helper to take over his patrol work, and then he would use the voucher to treat his sister to a meal.

But Komachi ran too fast.

But if she could find him once, she should be able to do a second time pretty quickly.

So, Hikigaya-kun wasn’t too worried.

”Yes, patrol.”

”So, are we going to do separately this time?”

”...Probably not. I’m just a junior, and I also have things I need to learn from my seniors.” Yukino seemed very utilitarian, and this was her fighting mode.

So it is true.

The reason why she split up for patrol before was to win panda’s doll. Now that she has achieved her goal, starting to think normally.

Yukinoshita-san’s weaknesses are too obvious.

So, two members of student council began their regular patrol, while Hachiman waited for right time to ask Ichinose to come out, and then went to find her family members.

Other side.

Komachi ran away in a hurry.

”Excuse me.”

She didn’t pay much attention to the road, or maybe there were too many people here, and stepped on the shoes of the girl next to her.

Komachi also noticed that other person’s shoes were left with a footprint from her stepping on them.

”It’s okay.” said the girl with short blond hair whose shoe was stepped on by Komachi, ”You are a new visitor to this school, right?”

”Yes, but I was brought here by others....”

’That means she is one of the 300 guests, and an unimportant family member.....’ The reason Kushida says this is because the other person is not very old, probably only a junior high school student, so she was probably brought here by her father or mother.

The girl whose foot was stepped on made a quick assessment.

But there was a gentle smile on her face.

”This way is in direction of art museum. If you follow the crowd, you can only queue up honestly. But Kouhai, I know a way. You can use the staff passage~”

So that’s it. Can you still cut in line?

But Komachi wasn’t really here to see the art exhibition.

She again thought the girl in front of him was very eye-catching...She had golden hair that just reached her shoulders, delicate features, and most importantly, she had a gentle aura.

It feels quite healing.

Komachi thought that although she had told her brother that she was going to look for Kushida-san, she hadn’t even seen her photo.

But now this big sister is like a little angel. So, maybe you’ll know something.

Komachi thought about it for two seconds and asked, ”Actually, I got separated from my family. Because I really wanted to see my sister after not seeing her for over a year.”

’They haven’t seen each other for more than a year, so now in 2nd grade. Is this girl who looks vaguely familiar actually relative of one of second graders?’ The angel-like older sister with golden shoulder-length hair who was stepped on smiled.

”So have you found your sister?”

”I haven’t met her yet. But...” Komachi asked immediately, with a curious face, ”Does onee-chan know the name Horikita Suzune?”

”.....”

Horikita Suzune!

This made little angel sister’s mood seem to be instantly bad. But for Komachi, there was something strange. ’Why do I feel like this older sister’s sunny expression seems to have turned dark in an instant?’

”Are you a relative of Horikita-san?” Older sister whose foot was stepped on asked with a very happy smile.

”Not really.” Komachi shook her head.

She intuitively felt that girl in front of her seemed to be a little repulsed by Horikita Suzune.

In other words, you asked the wrong person.

But Komachi continued quickly to change and stabilise her mood, ”Actually, I’m just a little curious about Horikita Suzune. I’ve heard some things about her. But I’m actually Kushida Kikyo’s sister.”

”• ? 💢” Then she noticed that expression of the angel-like big sister in front of her seemed to be frozen.

But this seems to be just a mistake.

Because it only took a moment for the other person’s expression to reveal surprise.

Komachi thought it was going to be bad.

Because this seems to be directly stepping on other party’s sore spot.

But what blonde elder sister was thinking now was much more extreme than she had imagined.

This girl is none other than Kikyo Kushida.

She didn’t even know the girl in front of her, but she said she was her sister, Kikyo Kushida.

’This is something very wrong. So... is it someone like Yagami who is trying to scam me again? How abominable. Why do you always cause trouble for me? Moreover, this girl who is trying to scam me gives feeling of meeting Hikigaya Hachiman for the first time, and at that time, he kept stepping on my minefields.....!’ Kushida-chan began to pay attention to Komachi’s appearance.

Junior blinked softly.

She felt that she must have made this older sister unhappy just now, but now it seemed that weather had cleared up for her.

Kushida-chan’s mood changed.

Just now this girl gave her a feeling of Hikigaya Hachiman, but now it seems that she looks 40% similar to Hikigaya.

There are alopecia on the head.

”.....” Kushida-chan. ’And if the other party is Hikigaya Hachiman’s family, then she can indeed claim to be me, Kushida Kikyo’s, sister!’

The information is correct.

’Hello, hello, hello. Hikigaya-kun, you didn’t mention at all that your family would be attending cultural festival.’

Other side.

Not far away, a girl who was paying attention to the situation took out her cell phone.

With a click, scene was captured.

Kushida-chan carefully looked at the girl in front of her.

The other person was blinking gently.

She was a petite girl with smooth short hair and very beautiful eyes with a slight green tint.

The antenna on other person’s head is quite conspicuous.

”Are you Hikigaya-kun’s sister?” Kushida asked directly, and then introduced herself, ”I’m Kushida Kikyo, his classmate.”

”Hey!” Only then did Komachi realize that she had only used the excuse of going to see Kushida-nee to avoid embarrassment. ’So, is the girl I met now Miss Kushida? No wonder other party’s expression was so strange just now. She must not know me and think I was lying. However, if the brother marries Kushida-nee in front of me, then to some extent, I will really be Kushida Kikyo’s sister!’

Komachi wasn’t actually wrong.

”I’m Hikigaya Komachi. I just came here from my brother’s place... oh no, I’m here as a visitor from outside the school today....I’ve always wanted to meet Kushida-nee mentioned in my brother’s letter. As a result, now...Are you that Kushida Kikyo?”

However, these were changed midway through the conversation.

The correct words were that she had just separated from her brother, but if her brother was mentioned now, and if Kushida took her to find her brother, then would see that Hachiman was now with a super beautiful black-haired girl.

This kind of thing may affect relationship between two people.

That’s why Komachi changed her words halfway through.

However, this behavior is actually not good, but subconsciously, Komachi found herself instinctively covering for her brother.

”Does that mean you’ve met Hikigaya-kun?” But Kushida-chan was a smart girl, and she immediately realized that Komachi was not being sincere.

She just thought about it briefly, but didn’t come up with anything.

’I have been attracted by the words of Hikigaya Komachi - my brother mentioned Kushida-nee in the letter. Hello, hey, hey, Hikigaya Hachiman. How could you be like this? How could you tell other people about what happened between two of us? And you even secretly sent letters home! This is a foul....!’

But Kushida-chan couldn’t refute it.
