COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“Hoshinomiya-sensei!”

“Teacher!”

“You slut!”

Eh...Chie was a little dazed.

But now that she was being stared at and called by children, quickly woke up from her trance.

“If you mean to collect 20 million points, then see if you can buy back students who are about to drop out when graduate. Indeed, 20 million can choose to move up to next class or waive the penalty of dropping out.”

“So does it also have effect of buying back students who drop out?”

“According to rules I know, it should be possible. But students who are bought back will only be placed in original class, so if you are in Class B at that time, then he will only be a member of Class B. And if you were in Class A at that time, he would also be in Class A.”

In other words, a student drops out of school to exchange points, and then private points obtained from the exchanged points are collected.

By the time of graduation, there will be nearly 20 million points, and everyone will buy him back.

Yes, you can.

As long as you can come back at that time, it will not be considered as dropping out of school.

And this... is trade-off?

Kanzaki-kun sat in his seat, remaining silent.

Because his request to withdraw from school was rejected by his classmates, the list of students who are now deciding or recommending to withdraw is mainly composed of those who are not very strong in all aspects and are dispensable.

Although it is cruel, excessive and ununited to arbitrarily measure and analyze who is useful and who is not, most students do not have much desire to resist.

Rather, if they can get their friends back in end, accept it.

If they are expelled, still have a chance to come back. Even more, their departure can bring 300 points to class evaluation score, and they are worth 300 points!

This is a great contribution to class.

So dropping out of school can only be considered a temporary absence.

“Also, if a student fails to collect enough points for this exam and is forced to drop out, I have also thought about giving all points that have been collected to the student who is expelled.” Ichinose was ready to sell her purse.

In other words, dropping out of school will be paid, so student’s sacrifice will not be in vain.

This kind of action.

“If we regret not being able to graduate as Class A in the end, then there is no need to buy back students who made sacrifices in this exam, but we cannot treat them unfairly.....”

“How about we all help pay for his college tuition?”

Immediately, students began to make suggestions.

This is Shibata-kun.

At first, he wanted to drop out of school on his own, but this was completely denied.

After all, there weren’t many athletes in class, and he was the best one. If he dropped out, chances of promotion would be reduced.

“Everyond, can you let me dropout?”

Um....people looked over.

Hey, it’s Kobashi Yume!

“Actually, I am not that confident we can graduate as Class A. My parents had already arranged a husband for me before coming here. I also like and miss him very much, my goal is to be a housewife. So it doesn’t matter if I graduate as Class A. If my expulsion can help everyone, I want to do it!”

“K-Kobashi-san....!”

“Yeah, please don’t force yourself!”

“No, no, no. I actually want to leave. Besides, we can’t force Shiranami-san like this. So, please vote for me.”

Saying it, Kobashi Yume, a passerby random girl of blue hair bowed down slightly to express her opinions and request to her classmates.

People’s feelings were complicated.

10-minute discussion time is completely over.

“Then we move on to fifth round of voting.”

Chihiro-chan looked very nervous, as if she was going to be executed. But didn’t even hesitate to delete Kobashi.

Then students sitting below were waiting for results, but found that the teacher seemed to be distracted even more now.

”Teacher Hoshinomiya!”

“Ah? …Hmm…”

Chie tragically came back to her senses, “Then 40 votes in favor of expulsion, and 0 votes against. Now decision to expel students has been made.”

“The votes of dropout student Kobashi Yume in favor plus her own make a total of 40 votes.”

“Because you passed exam within the specified time, congratulations to everyone who received a 100-point class evaluation score reward, and dropouts will receive a 200-point reward.”

“The exam is over. Please go back to your dormitories. Do not disturb other classes’ exams.”

“Then. Kobashi-san, please follow me. You will have two hours to pack your personal belongings.”

The exam for Ichinose’s class has come to an end.

Chihiro-chan patted her breast lightly and breathed a sigh of relief of not being eliminated, then she gave a mild glare towards window, and then looked at Kanzaki-kun cautiously.

However, Ms. Hoshinomiya’s condition makes people a little worried, because it seems that teacher seems to be guilty.

Chie is feeling unsettled right now.

Because she suddenly recalled the unanimous test at that time, when they had to face selection of top three students in overall ranking of class for expulsion.

As long as you complete dropout task, you can get a reward of 300 class evaluation points.

We can shorten gap with Class A, and then we can bet there are still two special exams to come, and surpass Class A.

So 300 points seems to be a must.

She suddenly thought of a question.

’That was exam at that time. Because of Sae-chan’s stubbornness, she kept voting against it, which led to Shizuka Hiratsuka, who was class representative at the time, being expelled from school and failing. In the end, class did not get this score. Even if we got 300 points, class would have lost its backbone. So is it really possible to get more points in next two exams? So, we can’t blame Sae-chan entirely, right? Because Hiratsuka-san’s value is more than 300 points. It’s hard to say what will happen if we lose her. Really....? But...Indeed, I wish Sae-chan hadn’t been so stubborn, and then everyone got points, and then wanted to see if we could surpass Class A. Because if you refuse to drop out, will completely lose hope of getting into Class A, but if you choose to drop out, there is still hope. Now that I have graduated, I definitely can’t go back to the past, but....If I teach a D class and see if my students can move forward, can it give me hope and answer doubts? It seems like I’m looking forward to it. Wrong! Damn it, wait a moment!’

Hoshinomiya suddenly realized that Chabashira had probably walked out of there, but now it seemed as if she was suddenly deeply trapped in it.

On other side, student dormitory.

“Ah, this is really a coincidence.”

Hachiman, following rules of the exam, was returning to dormitory giddily after exam and met Sakayanagi-san while riding the elevator.

Of course, there was also a puppy by her side.

But it seems that Kamuro-san is not on duty today.

It was a girl with long hair who looked moody. She seemed to be glaring at him warily.

If Kamuro-san is a cat person, then this girl is a dog person. Her vigilance is raised to the max.

This was student named Morishita Ai whom he had met before on ship and uninhabited island exams.

’It seems that she has always been jealous of Kamuro-san and wants to replace her. And now, Sakayanagi is not with Kamuro-san but with Morishita. It seems that even though Sakayanagi has been promoted to the second year, she is still very keen on raising a dog.....’

“Indeed.” Hachiman nodded politely, and stopped looking at Morishita, “Our class has finished the exams.”

“We too.” Sakayanagi seemed to be in a pretty amazing mood, “I thought I was really going to be expelled for a moment by class.”

???

’Are you so casual about making jokes? Please stop giving red flags! You will mess up the fates!’ Hachiman wanted to complain looking at Sakayanagi with astonished eyes.

Although an exam of this level is difficult for other classes, it should not be a problem for Sakayanagi.

So it ended quickly, and of course.

“I’m kind of wondering how Ichinose’s class will handle this. She contacted me this morning.”

Sakayanagi nodded, “Did that idiot come to borrow money from you too?”

This word also means that she rejected Ichinose.

“For this exam, she asked me to borrow points, but I didn’t lend them to her. Hers is a bottomless pit.”

“That’s a pity, indeed Hikigaya-kun. Because they have always known the biggest weakness of class, but unable to overcome it. What a troubled unity bringing such harm.”

In order to maintain unity, strong convergence can be used, which is what Ryuen does.

You can also use your powerful strength to gain other party’s approval, which is what Sakayanagi’s class does.

But Ichinose used her sincerity and....money.

Probably hopes to move towards the class of senior Horikita Manabu, but don’t have the ability to do so, so they can only keep spending money, borrow from people, going into compensated dating, sell their items on low price, etc...

Then it’s just a bottomless pit, just ignore it.

Because they don’t know how to make choices, can’t get up. Sakayanagi hopes that Ichinose will stay in school.

On the one hand, Ichinose is her friend, and on the other... as long as Ichinose is in her class, her kindness, integrity, and unwillingness to give up on anyone will definitely influence other students in her class.

Arisu acknowledges Ichinose’s abilities, but also acknowledges that a class with her is not a threat.

“I thought Hikigaya-kun would want to know more about Class B.”

Sakayanagi seemed to have already accepted the result of Ichinose’s class, so she said to Hikigaya-kun.

Class B is Horikita-san’s, and it is also where Hachiman used to live.

He is currently skipping a class, but if he was still in his og, should be able to easily complete this kind of test and even get points.

After all, that class is full of trash and abandoned people. This is a favorable battle for the opponent.

So got 300 points in class evaluation for free. Then will be close to the position of A again.

Sakayanagi loves a challenge, especially a battle against Hikigaya-kun.

But if class he is not in forces them, people in A will have to fight back.

Then you have to fight with a bunch of scum who win easily.

The thought of this is a bit disgusting indeed.

“I can estimate the approximate results of Class B’s exam. So you don’t have to worry. They’re not a threat to you. They’re the type who get dealt a good hand and play it badly.”

’It seems that you have a pretty bad evaluation of your old class....’ Sakayanagi remains elegant, but she has some psychological thoughts going on inside.

Or rather quite active.

’Generally speaking, Hikigaya-kun has a very low opinion of his former class. But it can also be interpreted in another way. That is, although you, Hikigaya-kun, left Horikita-san’s class and went to Ryuen-kun, you can still command that class remotely. So it is clear what they will do and what results will be. Everything is under your control. You are currently in Ryuen-kun’s class. Does that mean, next time? If you are bought, you can command one more class. Then, you will become a member of Class A, but you will also be bound to Horikita-san’s and the Ryuen-kun’s class. It only costs 20 million points to buy someone, but person you buy can restrict the other two classes. This price-performance ratio is really exciting. It’s a pity too. Because Hikigaya-kun, your actions now are very similar to those of Nagumo, who was expelled from school, because he manipulated entire grade, and intervened in freshman battles. That is to say. Hikigaya-kun, you are becoming the person you hate....If you continue like this, I am afraid the board of directors will do something bad....’

While thinking so.

“Well now that exam is over, Hikigaya-kun got 300... oh no, I think he got 400 points. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be smiling like this.”

“Yeah.” Hikigaya-kun nodded.

Because everyone will know after exams are over, there is no need to hide it, “I got 400 points. A student who ranked third in academics dropped out of our class.”

“Then it’s 1225 points. So how many points does Hikigaya-kun think our class can get this time?”

’Hmm...After exam rules were announced yesterday, I received a message from Hashimoto inviting to dinner. If someone shows you kindness without any reason, he is either a traitor or a thief. Apparently, Sakayanagi had probably caused panic in her class again. The last time this happened was during class vote for withdrawal exam, when she loudly announced withdrawal of Katsuragi’s follower, Totsuka Yahiko. And this time, they have decided in a high-profile manner that if option of dropping out appears in exam questions, will expel worthless students. That is to say, publicity will cause students in class to drop out. It makes people panic. So, there is probably only one result....’
