COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“In other words, you hope to avoid the penalty of expulsion by paying money?”

As acting chairman, he was also a worldly-wise man, but when he suddenly saw so many people surrounding the office he was about to leave, he almost thought he was being complained about and enemy was using some treacherous means.

It doesn’t look like it.

These students are all good citizens, even want to say him money.

“We have now collected 16 million points, but still a little far from 20 million. But we hope the school can show some leniency. After all, budget is limited, so if we can recover the budget from students, I think your school leaders will be happy.”

“Hmm...” Tsukishiro almost hesitated for a moment. No answer was given immediately.

As a school leader, it is indeed a good thing to be able to recycle points.

He might even break some rules.

But that was on ship, and he was short of money. The situation was stronger than him, so he had to bow his head. But now he has dealt with the budget problem.

Naturally, there is no need to continue violating rules.

Even as Acting chairman, he discovered problems with this class.

She actually wants to spend money to keep classmate.

Since you have been living in this school for more than a year, you should be aware points are linked to cash.

So, as students, you actually have to spend so much money to prevent a classmate from dropping out.

So do you understand the value of these 16 million points and still choose to protect your classmates?

This friendship and solidarity is quite touching.

If you keep thinking like this, you will end up missing out on Class A.

Because the Mr. Ayanokoji he is following now is the exact opposite type, who can give up anything as long as it can bring benefits, and can only climb up by making all kinds of sacrifices.

This is a very direct and realistic example.

So, although students’ intentions are good, the reality is not so gentle.

“Indeed.” Tsukishiro kept his adult smile, “As school leaders, we often worry about budget issues, and it is our job to properly collect points from students. It’s just a pity. I’m leaving this school soon, so I have to be careful about my reputation.”

In other words, the practice of buying back students’ points at low prices that had occurred in Tsukishiro’s term before has stopped.

Therefore, 16 million yen from Ichinose’s class cannot offset penalty of dropping out once.

“Why is this happening—” A depressed mood appeared among the students who had been gathering around.

“What a pity.”

Send them out, sit on chair.

Although teachers knew that he had violated rules in manipulating the recycling points, this was first time he was suddenly surrounded by so many students.

As expected, there is no such thing as a precedent of having emotions.

And other side.

The students of Ichinose’s class walked out of chairman’s office and stayed on stairs.

Ichinose was very depressed.

“It seems that bargaining method is not very effective. There’s only a little over half an hour left until exam. Are there any other students who can raise 20 million? Our total now is 16.83 million, and we only need 3.17 more....”

“Or, should I mortgage something? A student asked me where I bought the rocking chair I bought earlier?”

“But it may be too late.”

”Hey, Ichinose-san, don’t worry too much, because maybe we won’t be forced to drop out of school for the exam.....?”

The students in Ichinose’s class were trying their best to comfort her broken heart.

In fact, no one is sure.

It is too cruel to announce exam rules yesterday and then require today, which may even involve an in-class vote to withdraw from last year.

We have protected everyone before, and certainly don’t want anyone to drop out now.

But accumulation of points has not yet been completed. It was indeed a disaster for Ichinose’s followers of Eternal Paradise Sect.

“Ichinose——” At this time, although Kanzaki-kun followed along but felt pain inside, he was ready to speak.

He was already blaming himself, and then in morning he heard Ichinose mention that she might be able to negotiate with Chairman’s agent.

But was rejected. Fell from heaven to earth, could no longer bear.

Decided that if someone really had to drop out, person would choose him.

Because he didn’t accomplish anything and was a burden to everyone.

“Wait a minute.” At this time, Ichinose took out her cell phone and connected call with a look of surprise.

“It’s Kikyo-chan. She agreed to lend us 3 million points....”

“3 million?” Amikura also showed a surprised expression, “The difference is only 170,000 points!”

”Um!”

The big problem has been solved, and now there are only 170,000 points left.

If it is 170,000, then can also find bots from other classes whom they are familiar with to join in.

After all, they don’t need money to sleep.

It is difficult to collect several million, but if it hundreds of thousands, then one person only needs to borrow a few thousand points from other students.

Most ofstudents in Ichinose’s class are influential people in company.

So it’s very quick.

“I contacted a girl from Class D of first year. She is willing to lend me 5,000 points....”

“Me too, I contacted a student from Class D of second year, and she is willing to lend it to me!”

“The girl from Class A of first grade is also willing to lend it to me!”

“That’s great. The senior from soccer club is willing to lend me points.”

“Ichinose... we have collected 170,000 points!”

Good Call!

Now, in less than 10 minutes, most terrifying test for Class 2-B was finally over.

“I hope we won’t have to use this money,” Ichinose muttered under her breath. And now, everyone has pooled all the borrowed points into her account.

20 million exactly.

This is property of whole class and also determination not to let classmates drop out of school.

“Um....”

Everyone nodded. Compared to previous rejection by Acting Chairman, now there is a sense of hope.

Then, students in Ichinose’s class began to go to room to prepare for special exam for this month.

But there was one student who walked slower.

“Kanzaki? What’s wrong?” Shibata turned around and saw his friend walking at the end, so he walked back and came to Kanzaki’s side.

“Let’s take the exam. Our class has collected 20 million points again this time. So there’s nothing to worry about.”

”Ah... yes, that’s right.” Kanzaki-kun said in a daze.

But after saying this, Shibata did not immediately catch up with class group in front, ”Well...If someone really has to drop out of school. That time, Kanzaki. I will stand up on my own, and you will assist me. I will drop out of school. I am a student with sports expertise. Even if I drop out, I can still go to a good university through sports in the future.”

Shibata stared at Kanzaki-kun with a serious look for first time, “Save these 20 million points. We...can’t keep going on like this.”

Can’t it go on like this forever?

Kanzaki-kun, who had been somewhat dazed, suddenly became clear-headed, and the light reappeared in his eyes.

He once betrayed his class, but he wanted his classmates to understand more deeply the cruelty of this school and that simple kindness cannot protect anyone.

Then he brought disaster, not only causing to lose Commander’s exam, but also causing them to lose the title of protector of Ichinose.

It can be said that everything he did was wrong. But look now.

’Shibata has woken up! My efforts were still useful, and some students came to their senses. Keep raising money, it’s not a good solution. The first time I tried to raise, I got it. But what about the second time? This time it was so hard, I almost couldn’t get enough money, and this is only the second grade exam, what about third grade? Should you continue to collect money? Can they still raise so much? Kindness has its limits. Being united as a class is a good thing, but we can’t be united blindly, because everyone’s goal is to graduate as Class A, right?’

Thinking so. He noticed Shibata’s serious and trusting eyes.

This made Kanzaki close his own eyes in pain. Then open it again.

Boom! Boom!

It’s like he’s made up his mind.

“That, I promise you.”

“Yeah!” Shibata nodded at this time, patted Kanzaki on shoulder, and followed class team in front.

Kanzaki stared at his back.

He promised Shibata to save 20 million points and then make changes.

However, he also promised that Shibata would definitely not be one to drop out.

Half an hour before exam starts.

Students have arrived in classroom one after another. Teachers are ready to take public action.

Chabashira was sitting at her desk, organizing materials she would need for the upcoming exam.

But no need to head to classroom yet.

You can stay a little longer.

“It’s finally starting, Sae-chan.” At this time, a female teacher walked in from corridor and greeted her.

This is Hoshinomiya Chie.

A former classmate. Her best friend.

“…It’s Chie.” Chabashira said with eyes full of nothing but confusion.

“Ah...” But Hoshinomiya Chie still remained very cute, “You’ve been like this since morning. Were you thinking about the special exam yesterday and didn’t sleep well?”

Although she looks cute and pretty. At the same time, has very good relationship with others.

In high school life, two became best friends.

Chabashira knew that her persistence caused the class to lose chance to get 300 points when graduation was approaching, and they could only do so as B.

At that time, Chie directly grabbed her collar, unable to understand her behavior, and came very close to give her a slap.

Even breaking off friendship because of this.

Didn’t expect that would meet here again after further studies and even graduation.

Then, Hoshinomiya Chie seemed to have forgotten the past and became friends with her again.

But now this statement seems like a mockery.

Because exams that students now have to take are very similar to those of their class.

As class teacher, she also knew the last of five questions, so... students of this year are about to face same situation they were in back then.

Then let Chie recall the past.

In other words, she has not forgotten.
