COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“Then let me say a few words.” Ryuen just sat down and took out a small notebook to record main points of this cultural festival.

“My goal is definitely to get first to fourth. And Hikigaya, have you come up with a plan?”

Is this what you meant by saying a few words?

Hachiman was called, thought for a moment, stood up, and walked to the podium.

The four results of this exam are simplified.

Top 4 in terms of turnover, +300 points

Sales volume 5-8. +200 points

9th-10th in turnover, +100 points

Last 11-12th place, -300 points.

“It’s impossible for me to fall into last two in this exam. But our requirements suggest that minimum score should be above 200 points. The total number of customers in school is about 2,000. The final turnover is expected to be 200 million, but this is impossible. There will definitely be people who did not spend all their money. So based on 70%, it will be 14 million. Divide it equally, and let our class get a turnover of 10 million first.”

In other words, Ryuen’s class chose to spend money.

The others listened to what Hachiman said and looked at Ryuen.

“Then let’s do this first. I will give each student points at that time, and you can exchange them for money that can be used on day of cultural festival. Don’t think too much on the day, just go to our class.”

There are 38 students now, which means first step is to achieve a turnover of 3.8 million.

“Then still a gap of 6.2 million.” Ryuen paused, then looked at students in the class.

Everyone understands.

It’s still same as the previous uninhabited island test, go and pull people, right?

“And if information about guests can be obtained in advance, you understand. If it’s someone you know, go and build relationships yourself.”

Understand.

As expected of you, Ryuen.

Although he is not as good as Kushida and Ichinose in interpersonal communication, he is very good at getting along with others.

The direction of the preparation plan for Ryuen’s class’s cultural festival has been confirmed.

Don’t confirm the project to be held first, but increase sales first, and then see what projects other classes are using.

If you think they are good, just use them for free.

Then because you have some points, you can do better than other party.

As always, Ryuen’s class has not changed.

Time for lunch break.

Today, Hikigaya-kun came to cafeteria on third floor. It was private room that Sakayanagi-san had reserved since first day of school.

“It’s a rare visitor today.”

“Hikigaya-kun.”

When Hachiman arrived, he found Sakayanagi was already there. But her little dog Kamuro-san is not here.

However, based on Hachiman’s understanding of Kamuro-san, she should be queuing up now.

“Hello, Sakayanagi-san.” Hikigaya seemed very polite today.

When Sakayanagi heard such honorifics mark from other party, she immediately understood. ’Hikigaya-kun probably isn’t going to talk about special exam today. In other words, Ryuen-kun’s class, where he is currently, has already decided on scoring plan for cultural festival.’

“Speaking of which, Ryuen-kun’s class has been promoted from D, and I think he will get 300 points in this exam. So that’s 1525. I’m actually looking forward to fighting Hikigaya-kun. But it’s a pity. My class will give it their all this time.”

’Is that so? In other words, my dissatisfaction with Sakayanagi in last special exam was interpreted as a provocation to her, so she started to take it seriously? Then Sakayanagi Arisu, you are such a cute girl!’ But, Hikigaya-kun did his best to keep a straight face.

“I brought the food back...” At this time, Kamuro-san with long purple hair walked in from door of the private room.

Then found a boy standing there.

An instant look of disgust.

Because she thought Hikigaya would not come today, so she didn’t have to prepare food for him.

But now, her workload has increased again.

Then she heard Hikigaya’s voice, “I’ll treat you this month. Just think of it as looking forward to your class winning this cultural festival.”

“Oh...?”

’Is there such a good thing?’ Kamuro-san almost thought Hikigaya was going to break down.

xxxxx

Of course Hikigaya-kun is not broken.

Now that Chairman Sakayanagi is back, some illegal operations cannot be used, and there is also problem of the CD being unable to climb up.

However, if evaluation scores of Sakayanagi’s class can continue to rise, then his scores will also rise and will not be suppressed.

Therefore, no matter what his purpose was, Sakayanagi’s victory was that he helped Class A gain more points.

Maybe because he heard some good news, Hachiman felt that Sakayanagi-san looked 20% cuter today because she was wearing black socks.

However, he still felt that she would look better in white stockings. ’Even though I spent my own money to buy food, it tasted much better.’

“So, what happened to Hikigaya?”

Hachiman handed Kamuro-san a point card with a small amount of money as meal money for this month, then left after eating.

But Master Sakayanagi and her servant were still in the private room.

Kamuro-san raised her head and looked at evil cutie.

“I don’t know. But I can confirm that he is in a good mood.”

’Is that so? But I think you’re in a good mood because Hikigaya paid this month’s food expenses in advance, which means he’ll basically eat here this month.....’ Kamuro-san thought so but didn’t say it out loud for obvious reasons, keeping Sakayanagi’s face.

Hachiman took escalator from cafeteria on 3rd to 1st floor.

But when he reached first floor, he noticed that a girl sitting on escalator seemed to glance at him.

Then she quickly walked down the escalator and reached ground floor.

“Hey, don’t go!”

“Hikigaya-senpai!”

The other party began to greet Hachiman, “What you are doing is very dangerous.”

Because other person just walked directly down from escalator. Although it’s okay, she would fall if wasn’t careful.

“Well, because I’m in trouble.” The girl showed a pitiful expression, and then seemed to be wiping non-existent tear marks on her face with both hands.

“I was asked by Utomiya-kun to come up with a winning strategy for class. You must get an evaluation score of 300 points, with a minimum of 200. But this kind of thing is simply impossible for me to do!”

This person seemed to be crying even more cutely.

She has short brown hair, a lovely face and big watery eyes.

Although he knew she was pretending to cry and even deliberately making such a pitiful gesture.

But Hikigaya-kun feels like he’s at a disadvantage.

If he had met this girl earlier, he wouldn’t have to pay for lunch today.

Instead, ask this junior schoolmate for a treat.

“Compared to asking others for help, don’t you think you are missing something?” Hachiman had just finished his meal and didn’t really want to move, so it was a good opportunity to kill some time.

“Huh? Could it be that Senpai is waiting for me to thank you?”

“Yes.” Hachiman nodded greatly, and motioned for her to continue doing her actions.

“This morning, student council announced that I was wrongly accused on its bulletin board. It got me really excited. I thought I had been forgotten~!”

As expected. She must be somewhat dissatisfied that uninhabited island exam had been over for nearly a month, and Hikigaya-kun had just completed the solution given to her on island.

Hachiman recognized this meaning from the look in her eyes.

“There is usually a class meeting on the 1st of every month, and rules for special exam for this month are announced. If made at this time, content of the announcement will be directly brought to class meeting by the teacher....So it becomes that school, student council, and even your homeroom teacher will speak for you. That’s why you have now been completely cleared.” Hikigaya-senpai quickly reprimanded this ungrateful idiot, with a bad look in his eyes.

Oh....

Isshiki nodded gently.

“Thank you Hikigaya-senpai for considering me. And... eh? Wait a minute. Could it be that Senpai thinks so much about me, he actually planned so? Although I can see that senpai is a good person. I am a little moved....”

Twirling her curls, giving out a nervous laugh if she was really embarrassed.

“But I don’t think this kind of gentle attitude towards everyone is a good idea.” She said this with a serious nod and bowed to Hachiman.
