COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Topic 4 is only relevant to written exam.

It’s about increasing difficulty, more penalties and cheating rewards from students.

However, for this class with a large number of poor students, there were not many surprises.

Except for Yukimura, a bastard, who thinks that failing written test is a routine, and that even if it is serious, it is just expulsion, then if punishment is increased, can we get more rewards accordingly?

The other classes are probably choosing to reduce rewards, so his class may be able to surprise them.

So it only took people a dozen minutes to finish this question.

Koenji glanced at clock hanging on the wall.

180 minutes.

There are still more than 80 minutes left to answer question 5. It seems there is still plenty of time.

Topic 5- Let a classmate drop out of school, and you can get 200 points in class evaluation.

Options for and against

Note: 1 If all votes agree, student to be withdrawn will be designated and voted on.

Note: 2 If dropout is among the top three students in the class in terms of OAA academic ability/intelligence/athletic ability/social contribution, he/she will receive an additional 100 points in class evaluation.

Note: 3 If you decide to drop out, you can only get 50 more points for this question by using 20 million personal points or the protection title that exempts you from dropping out.

Note: 4 If all students are unanimously against dropping out, this question will end directly and no points will be awarded for this question.

The electronic display screen that serves as blackboard and everyone’s tablets all have same questions.

”Is that really the case?”

”The question of dropping out of school has appeared!”

There was some commotion.

“Please be quiet.” But Chabashira-sensei was very cold today as usual, “Read the questions and notes carefully. If there is a disagreement, please continue it until it is time to discuss it. Don’t start a free conversation now.”

“…”

That is to say.

Today’s head teacher actually has emotional tendencies.

Some people immediately noticed that Ms. Chabashira was different.

Of course, people who think this way should be those who are relatively calm about exam and have spare energy to think.

This person is Kushida Kikyo.

As a little angel, if she wants to attract others to her camp of friends, she must be good at creating an atmosphere.

Then quickly realized that Chabashira-sensei seemed to be in a much more relaxed mood today.

She seemed a little annoyed yesterday, but now there was no such feeling at all.

Instead, she was looking at them with the eyes of an experienced person.

Kushida-chan’s interest in Chabashira-sensei mainly stems from the messages she received from her classmates yesterday.

A student went to cafeteria on 3rd floor to eat, and... happened to meet Chabashira-sensei.

It turned out that Sae-chan had ordered two servings of rice, one for herself, and other... was actually for Hikigaya Hachiman.

Then classmate told her about it.

Well.... Hikigaya-kun was once Chabashira-sensei’s favorite student, so it was normal for them to have a meal together.

Yesterday at noon, Kushida-chan also sent a message to Hikigaya.

She suddenly had an exam and was not given time to prepare, so made an appointment to discuss it with him.

But at that time, Hikigaya-kun refused her, saying he was already having dinner with someone else.

They agreed to wait until the evening.

That is to say.

’Did he turn down the invitation from his girlfriend for sake of our class teacher?’

Snort!

Kushida-chan felt that her sweet relationship was somewhat damaged.

“Then let’s announce results of first round of voting.”

“There were 8 votes in favor of expulsion, and 30 votes against.”

“…Since there is dissenting opinion across the room, we will move on to a 10-minute discussion.”

Then Chabashira took the initiative to walk aside and gave both space and time to classmates.

There are still 80 minutes left in exam, so generally there will be no problem in just answering one question.

But problem is there are only two options, and class’s attitude is very direct. They hold different opinions.

This is very subtle.

If you examine the questions individually and check notes, you will find that although this subject is related to dropping out of school, it is avoidable.

Although you will not get any points for choosing not to drop out, this fifth question is also part of exam process, so if you choose not to drop out here, you will be able to complete all questions within the specified time.

Receive a reward of 100 points in class evaluation score from school.

If you take the route where someone drops out, you have to continue and decide who will drop out, which will take longer.

Looks inconvenient.

Most of students in this class do not want to be expelled, so will definitely tend to choose the option of not dropping out.

After all, there is no risk of dropping out, so why not do it?

But now it seems that poor students have chosen to drop out of school?

As the invigilator, Chabashira watched students as they made their choices and noticed some placed their fingers on the left side of the tablet screen.

Here is the option to drop out.

In other words, some poor students chose to drop out of school...???

Logically speaking, they would be ones who are most at risk of dropping, right?

Of course, Chabashira didn’t know these scumbags had already started to form a group.

The examination rules were announced yesterday, and will be held today.

The poor students are already in second year after all, so punishment of expulsion from school is also taken into consideration for this examination.

Then considered that…if really had to drop out and take exam, probability of himself being expelled would be very high.

So they started to form a group.

It was decided that if there was a penalty of expulsion, one would choose...the most suitable candidate to take position.

Of course, this was an agreed upon thing.

Because time to think about questions was very short, some students in group even pressed wrong button feeling nervous when they saw the option to drop out.

???

“So, what do you guys think?”

10-minute discussion time has arrived.

However, Hirata-kun found that two minutes had passed and no one had taken the initiative to propose, so he chose to stand up.

“I chose not to drop out. It seems that punishment of being expelled in common these days, but I really like this class and I look forward to spending my high school years with everyone, so I will not reduce the number of students if I can. I think this is a situation where number of students should not be reduced.”

Um....

Before the exam, Hirata-kun was still so strong, but now he seems so reassuring.

Then heard addition.

“No reduction in staff unless necessary.”

Ah this.

In other words, Hirata-kun does have a cold side, his face was dark.

Why? Don’t you use fair lovely anymore? How could you stop using shampoo? We don’t accept it, Hirata-kun! You stopped shining!

However, Hirata-kun stood up, probably because he thought that his opinion of asking students to drop out if there was an option to drop out before exam had influenced students’ opinions, so he came to explain.

But this means that Hirata-kun is actually hoping that no one will drop out of this exam.

It’s really possible that no one will drop out of the exam!

Hirata-kun is still pretty cool, right?

Not only is the rule that everyone can unanimously choose not to drop out, but they can also unanimously choose to drop out, and then have that particular person use protected title to offset the penalty.

The final result was still that no one dropped out.

Although people thought so in heart.

As the last one in OAA ranking in the class, Ike Kanji sat firmly in his seat without saying a word.

His statistics were very poor, and the students in Yukimura’s cram school group didn’t seem to like him either.

So if he showed too much excitement, he might be attacked by Yukimura and others.

So that’s good for now.

It’s really good....!

Although he contacted other students with poor grades to form a group, and even asked for help from Kushida, they formed a medium-level group of 14 people.

It looks safe.

The exam questions are also safe. No one will be forced to drop out.

But some didn’t read the test questions and chose to drop out.

This makes people a little nervous.

“I have an opposing view.” However, Yukimura stood up and said without caring Ike’s heart problems, “Our class evaluation score is 1355 points now. And if I can get 100 points in this exam... No, it shouldn’t be 100, but if I can get a maximum of 400. That’s 1,755 points. And right now Class A only has 1820 points. I don’t know what Sakayanagi’s class will choose, but if they choose to get the most points, then if we don’t get points here, it will be hard to catch up in the future. The best case scenario is that we get points and they don’t, then we have more hope!”

Pushed up his glasses.
