COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Hikigaya’s agreement was not just with Ichinose. At that time, girl knew that he had a backup in Kushida.

Spare tire also has the potential to be promoted.

So, Hachiman may not marry Ichinose in the end, but even if they don’t get married, Hikigaya-kun is willing to invest in Ichinose and help her graduate from Class A and move towards a bright future.

The price to be recovered at that time would probably be to hope that Ichinose would grow up, and then use her connections to provide social resources for the marriage partner chosen by Hikigaya.

After all, Hachiman’s partner is the one who needs to support him, and he definitely won’t accept a job that pays too little.

Therefore, Hikigaya-kun still approves of investing in Ichinose.

Even before that, he donated 5 million in cash to Ichinose family.

But he was worried that her mother would not want to use his money to improve their lives, so he and Ichinose planned to get married after graduation and give the money to each other as a gift first, so that other party could use it with peace of mind.

This will also give Ichinose’s family some temporary respite.

Hachiman learned from Ichinose that her family actually had some foreign debt, which was left behind by her father who abandoned her and mother after he became debtor from gambling.

The mother has been trying to repay the debt in order to protect her children from being harassed.

There are currently more than 3 million.

If Ichinose’s mother could use the betrothal gift, it would really be a help to family.

Because you don’t have to go into debt anymore.

It’s just that because Hikigaya-kun signed a marriage agreement and a marriage registration form with both of them, statement about the bride price can only be considered 50% true.

Then naturally 50% of it is lies.

At that time, he and Ichinose were thinking about how to let her mother use the money, and then they came up with a plan to deceive other party.

This plan also received Ichinose’s approval and cooperation.

Lies are lies after all.

So it is possible to be exposed.

And now is dangerous period when it may be exposed.

It is possible that Ichinose-san’s family members could come to this school.

But once other party found out that he and Ichinose were not in a ”Public” passionate love relationship, and even developed to the point of proposing, the idea of a bride price came up.

Then it is possible that mother will return the money to him.

By that time, no one could finish it.

So, this is a test for Hikigaya-kun and Ichinose.

But it’s not like there is no solution.

That is, Hikigaya-kun needs to do two things.

1. He sent a message to Horikita, asking her not to get close to him today. She should keep a distance of more than 10 meters from him, and not even say hello when they meet.

This is something that cannot be explained.

Although Hachiman and Suzune were not dating, it seemed that everyone who saw them together misunderstood them.

It feels like two of them have already started their married life.

Although this may be a good thing for Suzune, because she doesn’t want to fall in love while studying.

Therefore, this way she can avoid being disturbed by some boys who are attracted by her appearance.

But it became like this... Even Ichika would occasionally complain, wondering if he had been fooling Kushida-senpai all along, and that he actually had a marriage partner from the beginning... or rather, he had already been married.

’So, although I’m sorry to Horikita today, please keep your distance for now....’

2. The second point is clear, telling Kushida that he will act with Ichinose today.

He planned to go on duty with Ichinose before the performance, and then being intimate in front of her family members.

Parents come to school from 9 am to 5 pm, a total of 8 hours, which is not very long.

In other words, by acting for such a period of time, the lie can continue to be concealed.

Ichinose was very skeptical of it being a lie, but she said nothing and lowered her head to clean up.

”Mmm....”

”Chmmp, slrp, smooch~~!”

So, for 3 o’clock performance, the two of them decided to act together since they were free in the morning and then accept test from their families.

That’s supposed to be the case.

However, Hikigaya was tested by another family member.

Reason lies in Yukinoshita Yukino.

”Before the performance, I will be on patrol duty. Then I will be with Secretary Ichinose.”

”.....” As another secretary in the office, Yukinoshita Yukino looked up at Hikigaya Hachiman.

Although she felt that Hikigaya Hachiman was vice-president, and she usually cooperated with him in his work, then it stood to reason that if he was going to bring a secretary with him on patrol, shouldn’t he bring her along?

But Yukino also had reasons to convince herself. ’Because Ichinose-senpai is the oldest secretary in student council, and is often assigned by President Sakayanagi to do work outside the office. So, other party should also have more experience in patrolling.... Moreover, when unexpected situations arise, she can respond more conveniently and flexibly. So doesn’t it seem reasonable for Hikigaya-senpai to choose Ichinose-senpai?’

”Then...” But Yukino seemed to be hesitant to speak.

”...This——” Opened her mouth but didn’t say anything meaningful at all.

”.....” Hikigaya Hachiman then turned his attention to Yukinoshita.

First of all, it can be confirmed that this girl’s family will come, that is, it is excellent sister that Yukinoshita Yukino once mentioned and whom she regards as her target.

And that’s why Hachiman is paying attention to her...

Chabashira-sensei once said in a roundabout way that Hiratsuka-sensei hoped that he could help a certain person grow.

And this specific person can be confirmed to be current Yukinoshita Yukino.

So, maybe that Hiratsuka-sensei might come as well.

’Do I want to fool Hiratsuka-sensei like I did Horikita-nii?’ Hikigaya-kun finds it difficult and even a little too much.

Yukinoshita Yukino should have grown as well.

Some time ago, because her sister was going to visit the school, Yukino made the wrong documents.

Today’s morning, this Secretary also made mistakes on two documents.

Are you nervous? Or is it because of some other things?

”Ichinose is busy with class right now. So she will meet me later. And Yukinoshita,” Vice President Hikigaya began to call the roll, ”Now I can only ask you to act with me first.”

”As for Amasawa.” Vice President Hikigaya-kun glanced at closed private office of student council president.

Hachiman moved out some time ago.

Although Sakayanagi promised him to slack off yesterday and even took over yesterday’s work, she only handled the things that needed to be assigned to people, and did not do things like documents, reviews, and even things that had to have results immediately today.

Then...Ichika was arranged to come in and work overtime today.

The excuse Arisu used was…”You didn’t start performing until the afternoon, right? Please show your efficiency as a genius.”

How pitiful, Amasawa.

However, Hikigaya-kun has seen other party’s efforts.

So, keep going, Amasawa.

In Hikigaya’s heart, Amasawa Ichika is now shining brightly.

So, five minutes later.

Hikigaya-kun and Yukinoshita-san were walking together in the corridor outside student council.

It is another five or six minutes’ walk from here to area where students set up stalls.

Some things can be said directly here.

”So, what difficulties did you encounter?” Hikigaya-kun decided to get straight to the point.

”Well...” Yukinoshita seemed very hesitant even now, as if couldn’t make her words at all, and felt very guilty, ”Yesterday in student council, you gave a brief introduction on how to help the wounded....”

This one.

Indeed, Hachiman went to scout the rehearsals of other classes, and then met Asahina-senpai from Class 3-A.

The senior fell flat on her face and seemed to be in a lot of pain. At that time, Hachiman chose to pull her up directly.

However, doctor told him that sometimes inappropriate rescue may cause secondary injuries.

So, he informed council people about this.

But this all happened yesterday. Yukinoshita, isn’t your reaction time a little too long?

”And then... Hikigaya-senpai, you’ve actually been injured, too...even to the point of being hospitalized.”
