COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Other side, Sakayanagi is staying in private room.

Kamuro-san had a sour face. She went to invite Hikigaya but he didn’t show up.

However, she still ordered three meals.

So, now Kamuro-san is eating two portions of rice with an angry look on her face.

It just seems that way.

’Because....Now I can eat delicious part of Hikigaya’s meal, which seems to be a good idea.’ So, Kamuro-san was actually in a good mood, just didn’t show it on her face as to not make a certain girl....

But she soon discovered that expression on Sakayanagi Arisu’s face seemed a little strange.

“What happened?” Kamuro-san asked pouring another mouth full of rice into her body, chewing and swallowing it.

“.....” Sakayanagi didn’t know what to say about this behaviour as if her pet didn’t get enough to eat on regular, “...Hmm. Although I know Hikigaya-kun well, I don’t understand the message he just sent.”

’Is that so? You think you know Hikigaya Hachiman very well.’ Kamuro-san thought it was okay for Sakayanagi to lie to her about this, because Kushida often dated Hikigaya, and Sakayanagi felt that she didn’t need to care about him.

She feels that Kushida-san will be a loser sooner or later.

They already knew that Kushida had gone to Hikigaya for help because she was almost expelled from school by Sakayanagi, and he and she even signed an agreement to marry him after graduation, and support him.

This agreement seems quite important.

But Sakayanagi didn’t think it was a big deal. ’Because even though Hikigaya-kun signed this agreement with Kushida-san, didn’t he go out of his way to win Ichinose-san’s heart during rumor incident? Obviously. Signing this kind of agreement is just to use Kushida-san as a backup!’

“fufu....”

“• ! •” Kamuro-san always feels that something is very creepy about her owner, and will be exposed to others sooner rather than later.

She is even worried about being implicated as a weirdo.

’Hikigaya-kun’s target is Ichinose-san. In other words, this kind of man would rather be alone than be with someone who is not his best friend. As long as there is a better option, he will decisively choose the better one. Is Sakayanagi Arisu sure to win? Of course, I will win!’

“fufufu.....”

Giggling to herself.

Her mood swings are beyond Kamuro-san’s understanding, or to be honest she really doesn’t want to be familiar with Sakayanagi Arisu’s behaviour at all.

Compared to Kushida and Ichinose, Sakayanagi has natural wealth and is the only heir to Sakayanagi family, so as long as you marry her, you will definitely become rich in the future, and even have a job.

It’s okay for Hikigaya not to work, because Sakayanagi is currently trying to win over genius Amasawa.

Yesterday, she even received a positive response from her.

Ichika made a bet with her classmates that if she didn’t earn 100 million by time she graduated, she would have to pay compensation.

She hoped that Sakayanagi would pay her compensation, and would work for Sakayanagi at same time.

But if she earned 100 million, she would work for Sakayanagi without owing anything, it means she will cover her education and other expenses.

According to Sakayanagi’s words.

As long as other party comes to work, once he/she is employed, she is confident that she can keep him/her.

So, Ichika-scholar has been trapped by Sakayanagi.

Although Sakayanagi is not fit for work due to her physical condition, she has a backup job.

’Isn’t someone like me Sakayanagi Arisu, who is cute, rich, and doesn’t need her partner to work and be supported by her, the best marriage partner for Hikigaya-kun?’ Sakayanagi is very confident about her thoughts.

’I firmly believe that I am the most suitable one for Hikigaya-kun. I also believe he can definitely recognize this!’ So, while eating her own lunch, Arisu started humming to herself in a good mood.

However, Kamuro-san felt that it was unlikely to be just that. ’Because Hikigaya was often with Horikita, many people even spread the rumor that they were dating. He even went to Horikita’s dormitory for dinner. Some people also saw him using Horikita’s room card to swipe the door to girls’ floor more than once. It can be seen that relationship between the two should be very close. But Hikigaya won’t date Horikita. If two people go out together, just to go to the supermarket or bathhouse, men and women should be separated.’

’But unlike Horikita, he would go to the movies or have a massage with other girls example Karuizawa, Ibuki! He was often seen hanging out with a girl in the library who is now his classmate in Ryuen’s class....I always felt that Kouhai is going after him, which explains Sakayanagi’s behaviour a little...’ So, Kamuro-san wondered if Kushida was not telling the truth, because from her outsider’s perspective, Hikigaya seemed to be taking Kushida seriously and planning to get married in the future.

“…...” Kamuro-san quickly reflected her thoughts. Because this has nothing to do with her.

’Let Sakayanagi do whatever she wants. I will be separated from these people after graduation. So even if I am a dog now, it is just a right.’ Kamuro-san thought so at least.

’But what on earth did Hikigaya say that even someone as conceited as Sakayanagi couldn’t understand?’ So, Kamuro-san looked over with a curious face.

Her eyes fell on Sakayanagi’s phone.

[Sakayanagi, don’t be like your father and don’t be easily fooled by men.]

by Hikigaya Hachiman.

???

’Was Sakayanagi’s father also deceived by a man?’ Kamuro-san then felt that she couldn’t understand it either.

In this way.

Because of Chairman Sakayanagi’s return, Mr. Tsukishiro who came quietly, was discarded like trash.

No one in school missed him, come to say hello or pay any respect, or gain his favour.

The school returned to its former tranquility.

Occasionally, someone would see Chairman Sakayanagi, and then it was confirmed that Tsukishiro had left the school on his behalf, feeling good.

Maybe they thought that if Chairman, who liked to drop people out every time there was a special exam, left, could stay in school longer.

But....Some people also miss departure of Chairman Tsukishiro.

Like a student in Class 3A.

”OK!”

“Our class scored 160 points in this month’s special exam.”

“Very impressive, Kiryuin-sama!”

The students in Grade 3-A class were indeed in a good mood.

Because of the illegal operations of Chairman Tsukishiro, they only spent 16 million points to buy Kiryuin.

People were just struggling because girls thought you might lose if continued like this.

But now it seems that former Class B may really be able to graduate as A!

The 3rd-grade class evaluation scores also became stable.

Class A: 1846 points

Class B 1449 points

Class C, 640 points

Class D, 534 points

“haha...Then let’s talk about remuneration we agreed on at the beginning!” Kiryuin seemed to like this kind of atmosphere in class, where people seemed to be worshipping her feet.

Actually, a top hat was put on her forehead by classmates.

So, Kiryuin indeed decided to show her power and make them her fans!

Otherwise....it would be disgusting, although she doesn’t care about these people’s opinions...but it’s really uncomfortable feeling being looked down upon.

You have to live beautifully, she doesn’t want to be compared and implicated with such weaklings!

Besides, getting high value of her work is indeed worthy of respecting Kiryuin’s pride.

“Of course we are following the signed agreement, please rest assured, Fuka-chan~!” Asahina, who was looking at the lock screen of her phone, quickly turned it off.

“We will keep only the farming expenses as agreed, and give you surplus.”

She also thought it was a good idea to buy Kiryuin over.

To her, Hikigaya-kun had a good suggestion.

It has been two weeks since the lock screen of my phone was changed to the photo of night view on ship.

This is a theory that has become popular recently.

If you put a photo of the person you like on the lock screen of your phone together with your own photo, and it remains undetected for two weeks, the chances of success are very high.

Although she thought this might just be a theory, Asahina thought she could give it a try.

Because Hikigaya-kun hasn’t contacted her recently.

It would be nice if there was some special exam that would allow all grades to continue to work together.

As a member of student council, Hikigaya-kun is now being pulled into work. ’I don’t know if it’s because Sakayanagi is in a bad mood, but I have been assigned more missions recently.’

But he is not without a way out, as he still has an assistant, a first-year student named Yukinoshita.

Although she loves cats and, will complete her share of tasks accurately and quickly.

However, if it exceeds her share and Yukinoshita recognizes that it is share that Vice president wants to pass on to her in order to be lazy, she will take it back and let Hachiman complete it himself.

’This is a really unpleasant behaviour of Yukinoshita-san. Can’t you do a little to help me?’

Hachiman thought that Yukinoshita was type of person who would not be able to bear it and would handle it herself when she saw others being slow or making some simple mistakes.

But no, he is also being asked to work.

“Come to think of it.” Hikigaya-kun has been working with her on the student council for a while now, “You have a clear ability to make decisions. Do you have any relevant experience before?”

“No.” Yukinoshita immediately denied it with a cold face, only it became very unrealistic in a moment, as if she was talking from the heart, “But I have an excellent sister. My elder sister is very capable, and I always follow her. Maybe I hope to be like her in my heart, but I know that my elder sister is my elder sister and I am me.”

Yukino seemed to say this quite calmly.

But it makes people feel that she is somewhat in denial.

Because Hachiman still thinks that Yukinoshita is very outstanding.

Not only is her academic performance excellent, she is also very efficient in handling things, and can even handle some troublesome tasks meticulously.

She is also talented and can play the piano, harp, and even the bass.

Even in sports, Yukino is excellent and has great explosive power.

Then weakness is endurance.

Her endurance is simply appalling; she can’t run 800 meters.

When Hachiman came to student council during lunch break today, he discovered that Yukinoshita brought her own lunch box.

That’s why he obviously said, “So how’s your cooking?”

Hachiman even imagined her in a white apron moving around in the kitchen with a serious look.

“???” Yukino looked over in confusion at this lazy boy who is Vice-president, she always felt this guy is making ticks on some kind of strange list, “Cooking skills?”

“Yes. I’ve been learning to cook recently, but it seems my skills are not good enough. Although the person who tasted it said there was nothing wrong with it, I still felt like she didn’t like it very much.”

’Is that so? This means that Hikigaya-senpai is actually working hard to become a househusband!’ Yukinoshita calmed down her suspicious face, and became cool in an instant, “If it’s Amasawa-san, she should like something with a stronger flavor. She occasionally comes to my dormitory hoping to have a meal. It seems that she used to eat light food, but now she prefers something with a stronger flavor...it doesn’t matter if it’s bitter, spicy or overcooked at all.”

Huh?
