COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Originally, Kushida-chan, who had been ignored and had nothing to do with him, was suddenly exposed and attracted everyone’s attention.

Although she was cursing Horikita in her heart, Kushida-chan showed her cute side.

’Um... I did vote against it just now.” She looked pitiful.

The students around her were surprised that Kushida didn’t follow everyone else’s lead, but found it understandable.

Either she made a wrong choice by mistake, or Kushida-chan values friendship between classmates very much, so couldn’t bring herself to make Koenji expel from school.

This is truly a kind little angel, Kushida-chan!

Immediately, some people became her fans.

“Kushida-chan, please choose Koenji. He will not be expelled.” A boy immediately comforted her.

It was a boy in class named Ben---Hondou.

OAA data is same as Ike Kanji’s fishing pool, and ranked at the end.

When Hikigaya-kun was still in class, everyone assumed that he and Suzune were dating, but they would often meet up with Kushida-chan, who didn’t seem to mind being with Hikigaya-kun.

At this point, everyone’s own understanding is that Kushida-chan and Hikigaya-kun are together, must be discussing exams related to class rivalries and special exams to comfort themselves.

But now Hikigaya-kun is not here, don’t see Kushida-chan showing any interest in other boys.

’This means I still have a chance, right?’ So as Kushida’s bootlicker, immediately wanted to make his presence felt.

“That’s right. Koenji-san won’t drop out, he has a title of expulsion protection.” However, there are many who have same perverted idea as Hondou-san to conquer Kushida.

Even classmate Ike also joined in. Of course, he glanced in direction of Shinohara Satsuki.

Unfortunately, girl doesn’t even look at this.

’So Shinohara is actually leaning towards choosing Komiya?’ Ike thought in his heart.

“Are you guys trying to waste time?” However, at this time, Suzune, who had just pointed out Kushida voted against the proposal, continued to speak, “We still have to decide who will drop out, don’t have that much time to waste.”

“Horikita-san, what do you want to say?” Now, even Hirata’s mother noticed Yukimura who pushed his glasses up and bit his lip without saying anything.

Obviously, Yukimura-kun is now at a loss as to what to do about the fact that Kushida actually participated in vote against Koenji.

Probably they never expected this to happen.

So it was beyond his expectations and couldn’t handle it, especially since there were only 50 minutes left before exam.

If something goes wrong, he will be held responsible.

“.....” Hirata-kun.

After Hikigaya leaves, how this class should deal with the situation, or how to deal with each special exam, requires careful consideration.

Of course, this is also a plan to avoid falling apart, unite as much as possible, and spend time on campus together.

In the last uninhabited island exam, Horikita-san was still the main person, but this time, she showed no signs of taking whole class’s special exam seriously.

At this time, Yukimura stood up.

So, Hirata is observing whether this boy can take the lead. But look now.

Not really.

“You mean you don’t want Koenji-san to drop out of school?”

“No.” However, Suzune’s answer was very puzzling to everyone, but she quickly gave her opinions, “In the vote to confirm Koenji-kun’s expulsion, I voted in favor, but in second round, I voted against it. I don’t think there will be many more exams with such high score. Take last year’s and 3rd grade forest exams as an example. At that time, maximum reward was about 400 points of class evaluation score. Also, in this joint test for uninhabited island by 3 grades, best score I can get is around 400 to 500. Then, what we should aim for and do best is to score 400 points! This is already a high score. So it would be a shame to let this opportunity slip away.”

Boom!

After hearing what Suzune said, Yukimura, who was at a loss just now, felt a little relieved.

Because he also thought the same.

“So I agree with plan of dropping out in exchange for class points. My suggestion is to vote for students who have contributed little to the class. People like Koenji-kun should not be sacrificed. It will give students who work hard for class have a bad opinion of their efforts being looked down upon.”

Then you are really cold-hearted, Horikita-san!

Many people’s opinion of Suzune has declined.

But these are mostly students who are in at-risk section and don’t contribute much to class.

Compared to them, students who have special skills and have made contributions to class.

Recalling last year’s class vote for the withdrawal exam, Hikigaya formed a large group.

There are 25 people in that big group.

Although Hikigaya-kun is not here anymore, members of that big group are here.

And now Suzune seems to agree with contributions of large group.

This immediately made people feel at ease.

Since Horikita-san said so, it means girl won’t abandon them!

This made Sudo, who only had outstanding physical fitness, was known to be violent, had a bad temper, and even had poor academic ability, and was worried that he would be targeted, feel relieved.

“Then isn’t it a good idea to choose Koenji? Because he has a protected title, won’t be expelled.” However, Yukimura frowned even more, logically he thinks Koenji is the best option because he doesn’t think people will mutually agree to expel a low OAA student, and just waste time.

“You’re wrong, this is not best option.” However, Suzune directly spat on his facial expression.

“.....” Yukimura coughed twice, and wiped his forehead, “So you mean to choose to expel another student, and then let Koenji keep current expulsion protection title?”

He doesn’t want to have a student like Koenji have Quota because this bastard is going to leave class, and will be an enemy!

“But you know...Koenji-san actually...” Yukimura was about to say that he was going to transfer to another class, but he restrained himself and didn’t say it.

Because what if Koenji goes back on his words, because Yukimura was rude about him.

??? What to do?

“If we talk about cost-effectiveness, Koenji-kun’s protection quota is of higher value than lagging students in the class. Others such as Sakayanagi’s class, still have this title of protection. If we lose it and still aims at A, then we will be left behind in all aspects. And this time’s exam, don’t you think current part is very similar to last year’s class voting to expel students?”

Very similar.

The whole class made decision to drop student out.

“Generally speaking, special exams we take require careful consideration, and then efforts of all students to respond and obtain corresponding results. Almost every time it was a punishment related to expulsion. And this time, although there are some contents related to dropping out, there is also a very direct plan for everyone to pass the level unanimously without dropping out and suffering any loss. 100 points for nothing. But, I don’t think this was school’s original intention. It should have been for us to put our classmates on the scale and make a choice.”

Horikita-san, please inhale some oxygen and stop talking rude words!

“Seizing opportunity and recognizing value of your classmates is the way to understand the question. So I think it is necessary for dropouts to get points on removing people who don’t contribute.”

This is much easier to understand.

Yukimura’s frown was changing colour if even possible, “Since you and I have the same opinion, we need to score points here. If you choose to drop out, you can’t get 20 million to pay waiver of the withdrawal fee. So if you want to drop out, you really have to go home. But this way you can only get 400 points. If you choose Koenji, you can keep him and not be expelled, but you can get 350 points. It’s just a 50-point difference.”

Yukimura thought he had guessed the reason why Suzune objected, “Do you really have to take that extra 50 points?”

Want to get 50 more points.

“You don’t understand what I mean.” However, Suzune remained cold, and said offending words, “Now it’s not a question of whether you should drop out of school or not. I have to choose another candidate. Because in the voting session about dropping out just now, 37 people in class chose to agree, and one refused. I was wondering who this is. Then in second round, 3 votes were against, one was me, and the other was Kushida-san. But, 3rd one. I’ve already confirmed it.”

Suddenly looked in one direction. In that direction sat Sakura-san.

Sakura Airi, who has a low presence and is very introverted, immediately felt everyone’s gazes and became a little nervous.

But Suzune’s eyes passed over her and looked to side of her.

Sitting there was a man with golden hair, red eyes, a muscular body, and who thought he was extremely beautiful.

This man happened to be the focus of every topic, with a place to be protected from expulsion.

“It’s you, Koenji Rokusuke. You voted against your own expulsion for two consecutive rounds.” Suzune felt like she just solved a huge mystery, and even stared at with very big eyes.

Surprisingly!

Koenji Rokusuke actually opposed his own expulsion. Did he go against his previous words and not want to lose the expulsion protection quota?

“.....” At this time, Chabashira-sensei was speechless. ’Horikita was a little different from a year ago, but some things remained the same. That is, attack power is as strong as ever. If you want to offend, go with a bang!’

“Hehe...” In an instant, Koenji Rokusuke held attention of his classmates.

But he is different from Kushida-chan who can suddenly change her expression in her heart, smiling on the surface but cursing in her heart.

Koenji’s expression is directly reflected on his face. When his actions were pointed out, did not show any nervousness at all.

Instead, he smiled.

“Horikita girl, I have updated my opinion of you. You have made great progress to be able to detect my actions. Yes, if you continue to choose me to drop out of school, you won’t be able to complete this exam successfully. If you want to get points, then you can only choose other garbage to drop out.”
