COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

The story started yesterday when Hachiman was going to Suzune’s dormitory for dinner.

Hiyori told him that Ike was very livey and actually took the initiative to contact Ryuen.

Ryuen also met Ike and conspired with him.

In the past year, his class became D from 1st month and has been suppressed ever since.

Now, even Ryuen has sufficient points, so naturally there will be desire to return to Class C and the ambition to move up.

As a student in Horikita’s class, although Ryuen was able to conspire with Ike and even used, he wanted to disgust Koenji by abandoning Ike and then force monkey away.

This way, Horikita’s class lost its top combat power.

Then in future exams, you can suppress it hard.

Ryuen should be able to naturally return to C.

However, Hachiman felt that it was meaningless to force Koenji to leave, because in this uninhabited island exam, he gave up using the trial card to get extra points, and took initiative to find class he wanted to transfer to.

He will leave on its own without you forcing him.

At the same time, Ryuen’s plan to use Ike to cause trouble is not comprehensive, because some people cannot be used by you and then can immediately play a role, but allowing Ike to influence Koenji will instead put a lot of pressure on him, and explode!

So, you still need some secret support.

That’s why, Hachiman contacted Kushida-chan and asked her to agree to Ike’s request and help him form an alliance of poor students.

’This can be considered as the last help that I, a former member of Horikita’s class, have done for you!’

That is to give poor students a test.

On the one hand, these alliances agreed to join a large pool, so they can be used as a sufficient dropout list in future.

After all, those who want to protect themselves and mess with others should also be prepared to be messed with themselves.

So this is like designating a sufficient dropout names for classes that are getting worse in future.

Koenji is a smart man and a genius.

Once he finds out that he is being targeted, will definitely not sit still and wait for death.

It could lead to worst possible outcome.

Therefore, probability of Horikita class being deducted points due to being unable to complete exam within the time limit becomes very high.

So this is how it happened.

xxxxxx

In dormitory.

“Do you still want to sleep?” Karuizawa asked on the phone.

Maybe she noticed that Hikigaya-kun hadn’t spoken for a long time.

In fact, he was not only sleeping but also woken up by her, but Hikigaya is a gentleman, so he said, “Koenji has already got ticket to A, and other classes may also be interested in buying him. If he is targeted, he will definitely be. That’s why I told you not to show up more in class.”

Koenji is similar to Sakayanagi in that they are both quite confident and proud, and look down on others, but they will still give the green light to people they approve of.

Kei nodded slightly.

This is why Hachiman told her not to provoke Koenji in class.

“Well.” She seemed to hesitate for a moment, “Since you are still sleeping, then you haven’t had lunch yet? I’m in cafeteria now, so...”

Do you mean to help get the food?

What a nice person. Really sad for those who don’t have that kind of careful....girl.

“I have a date later. You can eat by yourself.”

“......?” Karuizawa seemed a little confused, but ended the call anyway without saying a word.

xxxxx

You can see, Hachiman started to send messages to Kushida-chan.

[Got it, I’ll treat you. Are you going to book a private room in cafeteria on the 3rd floor, or go to shopping street?]

For this exam, she was assistant arranged by Hachiman.

From Karuizawa’s story, this time, Kushida-chan was caught and took the blame.

Fortunately, her image was strong enough to turn it around. But at least she encountered risks.

Hachiman didn’t think that Kushida had been completely unprepared for this situation.

Rather, although Kushida-chan’s IQ is not high, once her own interests are involved, she is very clear about what is good or bad for her.

Especially if you aid idiots like Ike, you must consider possibility these idiots will turn against you.

There is an additional benefit to helping red dot group.

Know about Ike’s operations.

Then he deliberately tipped off the annoying Koenji.

That’s why he said during today’s exam that someone had already informed him.

Let Koenji know that Ike was targeting him.

The purpose is to see if he can gain the favor of annoying Koenji and see if Hachiman can bring him into Kushida’s Empire!

What Hachiman thought about was that Koenji had once extended an olive branch to him, inviting to work in his company after graduation.

He refused to go to work.

However, his ideal is to become a househusband, and if he wants to be with Kushida-chan in the future, he has to consider getting her a chance to work at the company of Koenji.

Koenji Rokusuke is only son of the chaebol, and there is a high probability he will inherit family in the future.

Therefore, if you work in a company of Koenji, you should have a good income.

This is also a development for Kushida-chan. Of course, future is still uncertain.

Hikigaya-kun then washed his face, changed into casual clothes, walked out of the dormitory, and prepared to go to shopping street with Kushida.

xxxxxx

“Yo Hikigaya-kun!”

Kushida-chan came out of the elevator.

“Which restaurant are we going to eat at? During this period, I received reports there are 3 restaurants we have not been to, but the food there is tasty from what I know. Even points are also sufficient to bill.”

“You specially arranged for someone to investigate? You would go to such lengths to do that.” Kushida-chan was somewhat flattered.

Actually not.

Because this job has always been given to Kamuro-san by Sakayanagi, and she didn’t want to do it, so Hachiman introduced Amasawa to Kamuro-san.

Ichika used to be a student in White Room. The dining rules were standard and unchanging, so she was still very interested in the food from outside.

This is indeed a hard-working person.

When Hachiman went to library, he used the computer to search for borrowing records of Amasawa.

She reads three books a day.

The content and direction are all about local customs, various social interactions, and knowledge that people today should master.

In other words, she is trying hard and seriously to integrate into her current campus life. ’Since I was a student of White Room, I need to fill in some basic common sense that is considered unnecessary and missing by us!’

But the novels she borrowed recently were all romance novels that Sakayanagi had borrowed before.

It seemed that she was specifically targeting whatever Sakayanagi borrowed, and she would borrow it, which made people feel a little pressured.

But, Hachiman still got on elevator and started to go down.

At security elevator on boys’ dormitory floor, an orange-haired girl immediately sent a photo of Hikigaya Hachiman walking into elevator to Sakayanagi-san.

This is her new puppy...

Well, although it has not been fully recognized yet, Morishita-san has been working hard to show her value to Sakayanagi.

Generally speaking, there will be sound when taking photos, but you can ask your class teacher to remove this restriction by paying 100,000 private points.

Therefore, espionage operations can be carried out flexibly and conveniently.

She is indeed conducting espionage operations now.

Previously, Sakayanagi-san had a conversation with Hikigaya-kun, and her mood changed, so Morishita came to stake out Hikigaya’s personal life.

After posting photo of Hikigaya and Kushida going out together.

She was ready to rest.

Originally, she sent Sakayanagi back to dormitory, and then had some free time.

But she still wanted to show her abilities.

Because, in this exam, Sakayanagi-san finally chose to save all classmates.

She also declared that everyone was acting for her and would not give up on anyone who acted for her.

This is very touching.

In this exam, didn’t spend much time on first and second questions.

Their second-grade class A only got stuck slightly on third question.

“…”

As for question, as agreed at the beginning, there will be disagreements in first round of voting, and enter a 10-minute discussion session.

This is to prevent people from being careless and having the whole audience unanimously approve an option that is not the best answer.

After all, if everyone agrees on topic to be carried out, school will directly require it to be implemented.

So you need to be cautious.

Of course, the more important thing is to get a unified answer. There is actually no big opinion on issue.

“As shown in the rules. If you don’t have living expenses for six consecutive months, you can get three random places to be exempted from dropping out of school. Our class has an evaluation score of 1,800 points, and we can get about 7 million yen in living expenses from school every month. That’s 42 million yen for 6 months. It’s like buying 3 places with money from 2 Quotas. But, you can’t look at it that way. First of all, class evaluation scores will change. Take this exam for example. Our class can still get good scores. So the time for collecting points is six months, and we cannot be sure whether it is cost-effective or not for us to get three Quotas in the end. Plus, chance you buy is random. If a student on designated list drops out and other party does not have Quota, it will become meaningless.”

So it’s like a sale in a supermarket.

Although it may seem tempting, many of them are not necessary at this stage.

If you can control your spending urge, money you have can be used in more reasonable ways.

In other words, Sakayanagi ultimately chose third option.

Treat it as a punishment, and bottom five students in written test will not have living expenses for half a year.

After all, strength is paramount. If you don’t want to be without living expenses, then please... study hard.

So chose option 3.

Passed by all.

Because for them with high evaluation scores, this question is useless.

’This is a margin that only students in Class A have. I’m sure others must have struggled with this question for a long time....!’ Some students in Class A thought to themselves.

For example, Ichinose’s, class full of saints, will definitely hesitate between option 1 and option 2.

Before, they had always been wary of Ichinose, but found that attack power of her class was not as good as Horikita.

But now, Hikigaya-kun has gone to Ryuen’s class, so what choice his class will make is also something that needs attention.

After all, for an exam on an uninhabited island, Ryuen’s class scored 525 points, which was really outrageous.

However, some students looked in the direction of Kōhei Katsuragi while waiting for next question to begin.

In the past, he was also class representative.

However, due to Katsuragi’s steady philosophy and the orders he issued, the class eventually fell below A, and is now thriving under the command of Sakayanagi-san.

Of course, we cannot completely deny Katsuragi’s efforts.

In the just-concluded uninhabited island exam, Katsuragi and Kito’s team brought class 225 extra points.

Have tried very hard.

The fourth question, and then last question.

Question 5.

The exam lasts 180 minutes, and now have more than 130 minutes left.

Topic 5- Let a classmate drop out of school, and you can get 200 points in class evaluation.

Options for and against

Note: 1 If all votes agree, student to be withdrawn will be designated and voted on.

Note: 2 If the dropout is among top three students in class in terms of OAA academic ability/intelligence/athletic ability/social contribution, he/she will receive an additional 100 points in class evaluation.

Note: 3 If you decide to drop out, you will only get an additional 50 points for this question by using 20 million personal points or a protection quota that exempts you from dropping out.

Note: 4 If all students are unanimously against dropping out, this question will end directly and no points will be awarded for this question.

“…..”

As soon as this question came out.

If 3rd question just now still made people feel they had more than enough time, but now, after seeing the words related to dropping out of school, some students immediately looked in the direction of Sakayanagi.

Because when I was notified of the exam rules yesterday, Sakayanagi-san said, “If necessary, I will abandon worthless students.”

So for a while, everyone in class felt insecure.

“It’s 1st round of voting now. 19 who voted in favor of dropping out of school, and 20 against.”

“Because there is a disagreement among audience, we will now enter the discussion phase. 10 minutes.”

Still according to initial agreement, entered into discussion phase.

“There is still plenty of time,” Sakayanagi said with a lazy voice, as if she was snoring, and found it very boring, “I am not a dictator, so discussion time is over and everyone can express their own opinions, so please vote according to your own ideas.”

In other words, giving everyone the right to choose?

The choice is whether to have a student drop out or get maximum 400 points.

As soon as scales put this on the table, it becomes urgent.

If student is expelled in exchange for 400 points, will be very attractive to Class A, which likes to gain an advantage and step on others to create a gap.

Who will be expelled from school?

This cannot be confirmed.

Because, please don’t be yourself.

Although people’s hearts are still unstable. But second round of voting began.

Because there were only two options, it was completed quickly.

“The results of second round. 2 votes in favor of classmate dropping out, 37 against.”

This is result.

Deducting two votes in favor, result reflects that all students expressed opposition.

In other words, everyone wants to ensure that no one drops out of school.

’Although 400 points is important, it may mean that I will be expelled from school. If class A where I am not is finally graduated, then... it will be meaningless to me!’ Many people here thought like that.

Because vote was unanimous, now entered into a 10-minute discussion session.

“Your Highness, did you just choose to vote against?” At this time, Hashimoto Masayoshi, who was sitting closer to the front, took initiative to talk to Sakayanagi.

“I did vote against it.”

As for the results of her vote, Sakayanagi did not deny it.

“• •”

Rather, although she was just voting, many people were looking at her in a daze, even Sakayanagi felt there were some new faces around.

“• ?” She was dumbfounded by these people. ’Where do they come from? Is this your first day in school? How come!’

Because everyone has a tablet and it is anonymous. But as long as there is operation, it will be seen.

See her finger placed on right side of the screen.

The right side has only one option.

[Oppose classmates dropping out of school]

The students who noticed this breathed a sigh of relief. So people like Hashimoto finally had the courage to ask.

After all, it is a very sensitive exam. If you actively jump out, will be regarded as a typical example and then expelled from school, so just keep mouth shut.

No one in this class is against Saayanagi’s decision now, not even Katsuragi can do it.

Or, judging from the fact that Katsuragi failed to save his follower Totsuka Yahiko in last year’s class withdrawal exam, it means that he cannot oppose Sakayanagi either.

So now Katsuragi’s role is probably to act as a deputy or something like that.

“I personally voted against it. But, Katsuragi-kun, you voted in favor, right?”

As soon as these words came out.

Almost everyone looked in direction of Katsuragi, who was statued like a hard rock.
