COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“Proceed to question 4.” Teacher Sakagami could only proceed to next.

Topic 4- Exam at end of this semester is a written examination. Following rules you choose will be applied to your class.

Options: Increase difficulty, increase penalties, and reduce rewards

“.....” As soon as this question came out, most of students in Ryuen’s class felt like they were shot in knee.

Because this is where poor students gather to eat candy bars and do nothing.

Therefore, increasing the difficulty of written test questions, increase penalties and even reduce the rewards.

It’s simply heartless, seems like there’s only downside.

In this case, we can be sure that question 5 must be very cruel and related to dropping out of school!

People no longer felt like dreaming.

“Then announce results of 1st vote.”

“Increase difficulty 20 votes, increase penalties 19 votes, decrease rewards 0 votes.”

“Since we haven’t reached a consensus, we will now enter the discussion time. 10 minutes.” Sakagami was talking as if he was directly reading from the script.

After he said this, other students remained quiet, but turned faces in direction of a certain person.

“• •”

“???” Shiina Hiyori.

People in Ryuen’s class who are not smart basically don’t use their brains and just wait for orders to execute.

But there is still pressure on this exam question.

It seems in classmate’s view Hiyori is a very ruthless girl, so you can only do this kind of plan, and just stare at her until she listens.

As a true introvert, Hiyori felt deeply troubled by this, so she also did the same thing, and looked towards....

“.....” Hachiman whose math scores can be directly called shit, “Neither of them are good options. Besides, this is a written test that our class is not good at. There is no point in making the questions more difficult. We are just digging a hole for ourselves. And increasing penalties is not an option. So after all the eliminations, only option left is 3rd one. After all, if you are gone, who is going to claim Rewards?”

Choose to reduce compensation.

Hiyori-san nodded, then looked at Sakagami-sensei, “Can you tell me how much the pay will be reduced?”

“I don’t know.” But Sakagami actually shook his head and woke up people who were even more afraid to open their eyes, “But what I do know is that since it’s a reward, it won’t become a negative thing.”

In other words, reward will at most be cleared and not become negative.

The options for fourth question of Ryuen’s class in exam have been determined.

This is the weak point, no individual choice at all. Even if there is, dare not speak out loud.

The fourth was passed with a reduction of 39 votes.

“More than 50 minutes have passed since exam. Do you want to take a break? By the way, this time is also included in your test. Allowed to go to bathroom once during it.”

Before exam began, Sakagami hoped that everyone will solve their personal problems and take time to go to toilet, as exam will last a long time.

But now he is taking the initiative to suggest taking a rest, which is a bit exaggerated.

Because there are only 5 questions in the exam, have passed 4 questions in less than 1 hour.

There are still 2 hours to go.

“Take a break. Come back later!”

A girl whispered to herself, but it was heard by everyone. No one knows her name in class. ’Fuck...did I say that out loud? No, no, no, I will be expelled! Definitely, hateful! That little bitch Hiy---Damn it, you can’t think like....’

“Okay, we should take a break.”

Hiyori nodded at her with an Angel-like smile for being so brave, and speaking out loud.

“Hey! Is that so?” That girl suddenly realised Shiina Hiyori is a very good person, and shouldn’t be complained about for what she was doing earlier.

“.....” Ryuen.

“.....” Hachiman.

Boys like them who are good at noticing people’s heart, realised Hiyori is very scary indeed.

So, both didn’t dare to go against her final decision at all.

Because after first and second questions of appetizer, third and fourth questions were gradually conquering students’ hearts.

Ranges from easy to difficult. Therefore, question 5 should be more....well, let’s say, one person will definitely be outed.

However, Hachiman is not in original D class now, but since it is Ryuen’s, shouldn’t be a big deal.

The 20-minute break is over.

All students returned to the classroom and sat in their seats.

That girl is now happily chatting with Hiyori non-stop. If feels like a social expert who just got her freedom.

A bit like Kushida-chan, but her double emotions are easily noticed on her face which makes people dislike.

What’s her name? No one knows.

“Then let’s continue exam.”

Last question appeared.

Topic 5- Let a classmate drop out of school, and you can get 200 points in class evaluation.

Options for and against

Note: 1 If all votes agree, student to be withdrawn will be designated and voted on.

Note: 2 If dropout is among top three students in class in terms of OAA academic ability/intelligence/athletic ability/social contribution, he/she will receive an additional 100 points.

Note: 3 If you decide to drop out, you will only get 50 points for this question if you use 20 million personal points or a protection quota that exempts you from dropping out.

Note: 4 If all students are unanimously against dropping out, this question will end directly and no points will be awarded.

“…”

Good job.

As soon as this question came out, it immediately became a killer move.

There is indeed an option to drop out of school.

As expected, just like last year, students in the class were allowed to decide for themselves whether to go and play house.

“A special exam that everyone agrees on...”

The assessment should be about making choices.

A classmate was placed on the scale, and on the other side was class evaluation score of 200 points.

If student who drops out ranks in the top three in his or her class in terms of OAA academic ability/intelligence/athletic ability/social contribution, he or she can make up an additional 100 points.

In addition, if you complete exam on time, you will also be rewarded with a 100-point class evaluation score from the school.

That is to say.

A maximum of 400 class evaluation points can be obtained.

Of course, you can also choose not to drop out the student who ranks high in each program on OAA, because that would mean sacrificing this outstanding person in order to gain 100 more points.

It is a situation where one thousand enemies are killed but eight hundred of our own men are lost.

Then you can get a maximum of 300 points in class evaluation.

“The meaning of question and the notes are very clear, so I won’t repeat them. You have 60 seconds to answer. If you exceed the time limit, you will be punished.”

Normally, reward for this topic is still very attractive. The maximum one-time bonus is 400 points.

It also means sacrificing average or top students in class. Sakagami also faced such a test in his past exams.

However, they were more cruel at that time and directly pointed out one of the top three students in comprehensive strength would be selected to drop out.

So there is no option to select regular students. And now, even if he is an ordinary student, Ryuen would not choose him.

Last year, he was lost for a while, and then Shiina Hiyori came to Hachiman with a 800 million plan made by Ryuen and asked about success rate of the plan.

The probability of success is probably only ten thousandth, no, it might even be one hundred thousandth.

However, this was actually produced by Ryuen, and 800 million can afford to send 40 students to Class A.

So, Hachiman and Hiyori knew very well that Ryuen actually cared about his classmates in his heart, otherwise this 800 million plan would not have come up.

Although success rate is very low, the reality is also cruel, and 2 students in class already have been expelled.

That was a last resort.

Therefore, there is still room for maneuver in exam.

Even ordinary students don’t need to sacrifice. So, for this exam, their class should choose to object and then finish exam within deadline and get a class evaluation score of 100 points.

“The first round resulted in 20 votes in favor and 19 against. Because there are inconsistent answers from the audience, we will enter a 10-minute discussion session.”

“The correct response should be for whole class to vote against dropping out. However, If you choose to have someone drop out, can get 200 points for class evaluation, and by the time you graduate, you will have about 20 million points. And Shiina, among the list of voluntary withdrawals that you raised, it seems that there is someone whose individual ranking is quite high....”

“Then I’ll check it out.” Hiyori opened the tablet with a blank face. Not even Hachiman or Ryuen knows what this girl is actually thinking.
