COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“Because, just like I asked, even if you choose to expel me, I still have a veto power. If you continue to elect me, then I will continue to vote to refuse. Plus, Horikita-girl, after graduation, I can recommend you a position. I can let you come to my company.”

“No need.” But as soon as Koenji made the invitation, Suzune immediately refused with a cold attitude, “I have my own ideal goal. I have no intention of working for someone else.”

Rejected immediately.

Suzune once heard Hikigaya’s analysis and knew that Koenji was not only a tough guy, but also had a good family background.

’I guess in order to show a performance that matches his family background, he had to choose to graduate from Class A. Then, although I was suddenly invited to work at Koenji-kun’s company, I immediately declined. Because I have my own ideals. I want to be a doctor, operate on people and surgery their hearts! Then natural choice is to continue my studies and eventually become a doctor. So it is impossible to work for someone else. Therefore, I rejected it on the spot!’

Suzune is going to use big compass on people very soon!

“.....”

Of course, this is just Horikita-san’s performance.

Decisive, and still somewhat ignorant of human nature.

Although Koenji talked to Horikita, he couldn’t stop other students from looking at him.

In other words, students around seemed very confused.

“Koenji-san. Didn’t you promise to sacrifice the quota and let class get 350 points? How come when it comes time to drop out, you secretly voted against?”

This statement of Yukimura is actually very straightforward, but it is what most people think in their hearts.

So how would Koenji respond?

Answer was simple.

“I didn’t lie. I did agree to the plan of dropping out of school to get points.”

“But you just refused to use quota!”

“Then think back to what I said just now. I agreed to the plan of dropping out of school to get points.” Koenji remained calm, as if talking to a small child is not educated, “But just like Horikita girl said, question of this exam is about making choices. Any student who drops out can get 400 points. And choosing to sacrifice my dropout protection will only get 350. My suggestion is to get 400 points.”

Oh my god.

So when you say you are willing to go through withdrawal plan, you are actually prepared from beginning not to use your own withdrawal protection title, but to kick someone else’s arse!

Everyone has been deceived by you!

Otherwise, you can just leave and get a 100-point test result for free without anyone dropping out!

But, Koenji didn’t care a single bit regarding these people’s face, “What I just said to Yukimura-boy and you is that I will cooperate with dropout route in this exam to get points, so what I am proposing now is to drop out of school and get 300-400. After you get the points, you need to transfer 2 million personal points to me after the exam. This was agreed upon at beginning.”

Grass!

So, you’re not actually selling your protected quota for 2 million.

Instead, are you going to charge an additional 2 million from class?

After fooling everyone, do you still want to collect money from bots?

“You’re going too far!”

At this time, Ike, their public face leader, finally couldn’t sit still in his chair anymore. ’Because if Koenji is unwilling to drop out of school, then I will be in danger, right? You know, I am the last in OAA ranking. It is a super dangerous state! Therefore. Now, idea is not to raise the class score so that even if you perform poorly in future, you will not be expelled. But…if you don’t save yourself now, you’re doomed.’

“Ike Kanji?” Now, Koenji looked over with a big smile on his face, as if he expected him to react, and directly said rude words, “I propose that you be expelled from school.”

“Why, why me...” Ike was suddenly stuck, he couldn’t but ask with a frown.

“Ike-boy, don’t you understand?” But Koenji was pretty cool, and said at this time. “Just last night, I received a message that you were organizing a group and proposed that if there was an option for someone to get expelled, then choose to force me out. And the reason is that I have a dropout protection quota. Even if I am selected by you, I will not be expelled. So this way you can get through it safely. And if that’s the case.....I don’t have to say more, right?”

“You” represent deliberately to put entire blame on Ike.

“How could... such a thing happen——” While Koenji was talking, Hirata-kun looked very shocked.

It seemed that he had just heard the bad news. He glanced at class.

As everyone’s Hirata, and part of the class representative, how could he not know such important information?

However, some students looked away without making eye contact with him.

The facts are already before us.

This is true.

This move would undoubtedly exclude him and then divide class.

Hirata is still a mother who likes to help others, but he has also been helped back to his rationality by Hikigaya.

’I cherish my time on campus and want to make a difference, so I want to stick to the path of helping others. I can’t be indifferent to people in crisis, but can’t continue to have no bottom line....’

However, Hirata is a kind person after all, and he suggested option of not dropping out of school unless necessary.

Regarding this exam, he did not have radical mentality of Yukimura, so he was not interested in getting a class evaluation score of 300 or even 400 points.

In his heart, getting points and protecting students are more important.

The reason why he thought so was that Hirata didn’t believe this class could be promoted to A.

So there is no point in getting so many points.

That means more living expenses.

For students in this class, those who have a living expense of 50,000 are considered to be living on daily paycheck, those of 100,000 are still living same, and even with 150,000 are probably still living exactly.

Even if they have more points, students here will not unite to collect the points and use to deal with exam risks or exempt anyone from penalties.

So, for this class, getting more points or less doesn’t mean much.

Therefore, Hirata’s approach and direction are to ensure that no one drops out. ’As a result, this class has started to...divide itself secretly?’

The seemingly acceptable move of Koenji-san to gain points at the cost of protection quota turned out to be a scapegoat who was secretly planned to form a team and then thrown out.

Originally, Koenji had the intention of leaving.

And now, this class might be about to lose him forever.

“I, Koenji Rokusuke, judge that Ike Kanji should be expelled from school in this special exam.”

”Why me?” Ike argued hurriedly, he couldn’t understand what’s going on, “Is it because my OAA data is so bad? I don’t think this kind of thing can completely determine a person’s value.”

As he spoke looked at members of the group formed yesterday. There is a hint of sharing honor and disgrace.

But most of the students in group remained almost silent.

Or rather, it was quiet when news broke at Koenji that they had formed a group.

Because news got leaked!

Oh my god, what if their name gets revealed, wouldn’t bots be targeted for a new purge? So, it’s better for a known culprit Ike to be damned!

Kushida-chan contacted them and explained reason why Koenji dropped out of school, and they made a rule that news must not be leaked, otherwise he would be the next one to be expelled.

But now victim already knows.

That is to say. Oh my fucking god!

The current situation where someone must drop out of school was... deliberately created by Koenji

This guy he... is taking revenge on non-playable characters!

Thinking of this, some people are already feeling uneasy. Cause’ who wants to be targeted by a monster like Koenji, right?

But, Ike is still arguing.

“For example, I still have an advantage. I have camping experience!”

“Then if you have such an advantage, why didn’t you use it in uninhabited island exam?” However, at this moment, Yukimura Teruhiko, who had been able to barely strike up a conversation with Suzune and questioned Koenji, a boy who had been unusually active today, now looked towards Ike with contempt.

“During the uninhabited island exam, you and I were in a group with Ayanokoji. But before you could show your strength, you chose to give up. That left Ayanokoji and me alone!”

“That... that’s because I’m worried about Shinohara!”

Ike said quickly, throwing his pot on different person for help, “Shinohara was injured at that time. I wanted to see how she was doing.”

“I’m not dating Ike.” However, Shinohara stood up and opened her mouth with an icy gaze, “So his actions were all his own and have nothing to do with me.”

’Ah....How cruel.’ Ike thought in his heart.

At the same time, he also knew that Shinohara was trying to distance herself from him.

’So you think I will definitely be expelled? So you are afraid of being implicated? How could this happen! I didn’t want to drop out of school! I didn’t want to follow path of that fool Yamauchi. Although there are many students dropping out of this school, tuition is waived and there is ample living expenses. Why not stay in such a good place? I definitely won’t leave!’ Ike’s eyes turned bloodshot, and face gradually darkened.

“It seems the result is out.” Koenji smiled proudly and rolled up his wrist, “When you choose to drop out of school, you are already on road of being an inferior existence. Because of the in-class voting and withdrawal exam last year. What is the policy of our class? It’s to eliminate unnecessary people, and I’m very important.”

Boom! No one can deny his words.

“I also fulfilled my words and deeds. I, Koenji Rokusuke, brought a lot of points to this class. We even agreed on ship that I would only need to collect 8 million points from you and the points I brought would no longer belong to me. So no matter how you look at it, I am very important. And Protection Quota, that I got, maybe I can use it in a more important exam next time. Therefore, I have decided not to lose this Quota here.”

Koenji now seemed to explain the reason why he repeatedly voted against his dropping out of school.

Even his posture looks majestic!
