Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1416: Chapter 1206: Titania’s Embarrassed Departure

Even in her disheveled state, Titania arrogantly declared, “I am the Queen, I take whomever I wish!

Husband?

No, the king’s consort is never a husband.

I am the king, the only king!”

A cold and sorrowful smile appeared on Oberon’s beautiful little face: “So, you have no right to demand that I return to your side.

You can strip me of the title of king’s consort; I’ve never cared for such a boring thing.

After all, you… care about no one, and love no one but yourself.

Indeed, someone who would even send their own daughter to death, who else could they love?”

The Void Dark Queen, who always enjoyed showcasing her presence, felt she had given these two enough time to flaunt themselves, and happily interrupted this public drama of a falling out: “Deception!

Titania will always deceive!

So… ha~

let the deceitful throne vanish!”

Hill quietly sighed.

This Void Dark Queen, who was once a fairy princess more beautiful and intelligent than Titania, now, could no longer articulate her words clearly.

So he merely waved his hand to purify the spreading void darkness power, not laying a hand on the frenzied black-haired little fairy.

Might as well let her give Titania a good thrashing first.

Though the Void Dark Queen always has difficulty controlling her emotions, she still retained a bit of clarity… knowing Hill was nearby, though her black orbs flew about in chaotic motions, her target was only Titania.

Just a bit off the mark.

Oberon frowned, after letting the white dragon descend onto the fir tree where Hill was, Titania dared not direct the Void Dark Queen’s gaze towards his location… After all, anyone could see from her actions that she was attempting to use those void dark orbs to harm Oberon.

But if she implicated the Lord of Agleya, who had stayed out of it all along, that would be a big problem.

Having lost half of the Ice Dragon Throne, she still held some apprehension towards the Lord of Agleya, who could match Talos in a storm.

Titania frantically dodged her sister while her swiftly rotating little feet left various imprints on different giant trees.

“Is she trying to use an Illusion Array?” Hill asked, unable to suppress a glance down at Oberon, whose face was grave.

“Titania has always understood the Void Dark Queen well,” answered Oberon, evasively, “She’s lost too much power this time, to prevent the Court of Sorrow and Rage from launching a full attack on the Joyous Court, she’ll likely find a way to silence the void dark for some time.”

“Ah…” his voice suddenly carried endless emotion, “That is… Ladini, our homeland.”

It was an unbelievably beautiful woodland, with each tree, each plant delicate and dazzling.

The crystal clear lake seemed like another sky, with ripples occasionally tracing the passage of clouds.

A little fairy princess with long red hair, emerald green eyes, and translucent wings shimmering with golden light, flew out from a blooming rose to meet several dwarves standing respectfully by the lakeside.

The bearded dwarf leading the group held a mithril tray… on which lay a huge black diamond.

In the sunlight, the black diamond reflected brilliant light.

The little fairy princess joyfully stood upon the tray, reaching out curiously to touch the stone.

“No…” the Void Dark Queen’s wail suddenly echoed, like that from the princess standing on the tray.

The beautiful red hair instantly turned black, the emerald green eyes ghostly, and half of the translucent wings disappeared, finally being completely shredded by her own madness.

Black flames blazed fiercely.

The black diamond opened a peculiar and illusory door, taking the little princess who had lost her body to the void vortex.

“My dear sister, you… reached out on your own accord after all…” Titania’s sweet voice was like honeyed poison, “It was you who willingly shielded me from this calamity, how… can you blame me?

Others say I schemed against you… but you yourself know, don’t you?

Had you not looked down on me for giving up the pursuit of the Queen’s position, why would you reach for the diamond I gave?

It’s named after my territory, isn’t it?”

“No… it’s not my fault!” the Void Dark Queen’s desperate scream echoed, “It’s you! Wait… what’s happening?

No, I have no fondness for beauty, no… no way…”

A black rift opened behind her, and the Void Dark Queen was sucked in directly.

“Ah…” Oberon couldn’t help but shiver, “Titania, doing this, it’s not to provoke her spirit, but to remind her how beautiful she once was!

The void darkness does not permit a trace of joy, especially for the controlled Void Dark Queen.”

The white dragon he sat on spoke in a daze, “With such a woman, how did you manage to survive many millennia with her?”

Titania gazed at Oberon.

The Lord of Beasts said indifferently, “At first, I was deceived, later, I deceived myself.

So when even self-deception failed, of course, I just ran away immediately!”

“Oberon!” Titania shouted in anger.

Oberon looked at her coldly, several hunting longbows appearing in the air again: “I won’t hold back! Titania.

Whenever I think of what Vila almost became, I just… wish I could shoot you dead with an arrow.”

Standing in the air, Titania couldn’t help but step back.

Even though her beautiful smile was so pitifully pale, even though her gray-blue eyes were filled with sorrow, even though her luxurious butterfly dress was unusually crumpled, Oberon remained unmoved as he sneered, “Titania, that fairy spirit who would panic over your embarrassment is long gone when you’re willing to kill even your own daughter!

If not… for Vilanesri and Dawu, I wouldn’t even give you a chance to leave!”

Vila’s sister and brother, who never spoke up until now, did not mean they didn’t care about what was happening here.

They just didn’t want to directly face this scene, but they were always watching.

Hill could sense those eyes in the oak in the forest, and the antelope peeking from afar.

Titania was still unwilling to give up, but a little fairy noble suddenly shouted out, “Your Majesty! Shady Royal Court! The little fairies from the Outer Court are starting to flee in large numbers!

You must return at once, or else… we will have no attendants!”

Titania turned abruptly: “What? What about Kaiwen?”

“The god of household Brown Sprites was the first to leave.”

Oberon let out a maddening laugh: “After playing around then comforting, do you think that disgusting tactic would go unnoticed by Kaiwen?

He’s timid, not stupid!”

Titania let out an angry scream, a green light appeared on the forest clearing, and the Little Fairy Queen quickly flew into it, not even caring about the Inner Court nobles still trapped in ice orbs on the branches and ground.

“It seems that, compared to me, she cares more about how to manage the lawns and clean up without fairies helping her.” Oberon spread his hands, looking innocent, “But it’s fine, from now on, I’ll just be Oberon the King!

What Lord of Beasts… tch, just a Druid who can control herbivores and insects, and dares to claim such divinity, isn’t she afraid it will choke me.

Probably just wanted to keep me from leaving Shady Home, otherwise Marla would certainly kill me.”

Hill smiled helplessly.

It seems Oberon actually understands the laws of survival in Toril very well… he barely qualifies for the divinity of animals, after all, he can communicate with all animals, and as a fairy spirit, he can help all creatures in nature grow.

Otherwise, the White Dragon wouldn’t be so friendly with him… staying by Oberon’s side does indeed allow them to quickly leave their beast state.

But truly having the name of the God of Beasts is still a bit troublesome.

Even though most deities wouldn’t mind little fairies, Marla is definitely not included in that.

“If needed, you could let the Undead Tribe tell Vila that you’ve established a royal court here.” Hill thought about it, then decided to change the subject.

After all, whether Marla survives or not is still unknown now.

Though Shantia has always been timid and daring not to speak out, but she’s still a strong divine power… what if she goes mad after losing a beloved child?

Hill pressed his lips into a sarcastic line, gently telling Oberon, “If Vila wants to come back, I wouldn’t have any objections.”

Oberon nodded and then shook his head: “I’ll tell her, but Vila won’t come back.

Unless Kalinsan has a true ruler, making her unhappy there.

Or… you, don’t leave Toril anymore.”

He asked seriously, “But, you still want to leave, don’t you? Hill.”

Hill nodded: “Of course, I’m still traveling~

If I hadn’t just happened upon the Magicplague, I might have left long ago.”

Oberon smiled: “Vila is a child who loves reunions and dislikes farewells, she will never grow up.

So, she won’t come back to see you off.

She truly likes you a lot, so she’d rather make herself believe you’re staying in Agleya.”

Hill shook his head: “Never mind, this is good too.

Next time I come to Toril, I’ll go find her and say long time no see.”

Oberon’s small head hid behind the leaves, speaking softly: “Also, come and say hi to me~

I’ll miss you a lot.”

Hill smiled gently.

He was actually quite happy that the new neighbor moving into Neverwinter Forest was Oberon.

How to put it… Even though Neverwinter Mountain Range had collapsed significantly, its location means it won’t remain uninhabited forever.

But having a powerful little fairy kingdom in the nearby forest does give newcomers a basic requirement: the evil faction is simply told bye-bye.

Hill didn’t care how strong new neighbors might be, kind alignment in Toril does not mean no trouble… but they wouldn’t indiscriminately act against Agleya with so many powerful deities standing behind her.

This is fine.
