Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1405: Chapter 1195: The Lord of Hell Ascends to Godhood

Celene grunted discontentedly twice: ”It seems the new Mystra is favored by the Primordial Power!

As soon as she entered the starry sky, the Weave almost eagerly resonated with Edna, even more intensely than when it welcomed Black Eye back then.

The purity of that Primordial Power... it’s almost like what I had before fighting with Shaer.”

Shaer turned to look at her: ”In some ways, Edna is actually more like Mystree.

Just a bit more human than Mystree.

Mystree’s biggest problem was being too rational... A normal deity would deal with threats at the first sight, rather than waiting for the outcome like she did.

Moreover... a world like Toril doesn’t need a Goddess of Magic to sacrifice herself.

Being able to weigh gains and losses with her own life on the scales is a bit too rational.

But, the latter two have emotions that are too rich.

Even Black Eye, who calculates too much, she thinks too much, always testing various limits, even daring to touch AO’s, no matter how capable, only leads to a dead end.

Edna is much better, not having high expectations for the Weave, she values herself but doesn’t see herself too highly, and though the Weave lacks a soul, she knows what kind of manager she needs.”

Celene suddenly laughed surprisingly: ”Look~ whether the old man or the Weave, they’re both... so mean... they think highly of...”

Before she finished, Hill suddenly spoke up: ”Looks like... Amanata survived?”

”Hehe~” Lansendel looked around awkwardly, trying hard to show disdain, laughing twice abruptly, ”He survived~

Though he advanced to Intermediate Divine Power, based on my observation, he’s only slightly higher than Lower Rank Divine Power.

Probably AO helped him, otherwise, he might have been the only Lower Rank Divine Power Sun God in the multiverse!”

”That’s impossible.” Celene’s attention was indeed diverted, she said with a serious face, ”In some universes, the sun’s power is very weak, and the emergence of deities is already pretty good~

Our Toril’s sun, though flawed, can still give birth to you and Amanata, two strong divine powers, Eternal Fire is indeed quite strong~”

Lansendel couldn’t help but turn around, firmly showing his peacock rump to the moon maiden with messed-up thoughts: ”I’m the first ray of light on Toril, not much related to the sun.”

”Hmm?” Celene asked puzzledly, ”Weren’t you wanting to become the new Sun God? Why suddenly...”

”Ah... The sun swallowed by that snake and then... pulled out, who would want it?” Lansendel’s tone was full of sarcasm.

Hill finally understood why Celene’s thoughts always swirled around such disgusting stuff... Dandell, the Wild God who could instantly occupy the entire universe, his outer form merely embodying his divine power.

And the snake form in the fantasy world is always a symbol of creation or destruction, not used by just anyone among the generally powerful Wild Gods... representing endless darkness, Dandell certainly has this ability.

Thus, the sun is merely wrapped inside his body, Edna probably tore open the part where the swallowed sun was.

Hill shook his head fiercely, trying to shake off the image that surfaced in his mind.

Lansendel described it too vividly, now, even though rationally knowing it’s not the case, no matter how he thought, Hill could only think of a sun being discharged from some part.

Toril’s Path of Destiny this time... might as well be renamed to the Path of Social Death!

”What is Manks... doing?” Avoiding this distasteful topic, Shaer, who had been staring at Chult, suddenly moved.

On the giant screen, the originally evenly matched battle suddenly took a drastic turn... Manks roared abruptly, and the gray and dim power filled in the dimensional space rushed toward her like a vortex.

”Is this... finished digesting Safras?” Lansendel muttered, ”Asmodeus seems to have accepted a portion of Safras’s divine power crystallization!

How could the Lord of Hell not know the consequences of swallowing Safras?

He’s willing to be influenced by Toril?

What is he trying to do?”

Dimogogan roared furiously... suddenly, the insect-like body began to swell.

”Dimogogan is reverting to his prototype.” Celene blinked, ”He abandoned Toril’s Devilfish God’s avatar?

Also, Toril’s devilfish suffered heavy casualties this time, won’t catch a breath for a few hundred years.

Sekola withdrew so decisively also related to this, even losing the undersea of Ferun Great Land here, his fishmen’s living space might expand a bit.

Devilfish are the most disgusting, wherever they live, thousands of kilometers around are lifeless.”

”Manks is communicating with Hell.” Shaer stared unblinking at the giant screen, ”Dimogogan fought too easily, I almost forgot, this dimensional space, originally is a corner of Hell.

The Countess of Ghosts can’t use this connection to directly summon Hell, but Asmodeus can do it easily.”

Manks’s alluring and seductive body suddenly exploded, with dark red blood light covering the sky.

A handsome devil, four meters tall, appeared there.

Hill blinked... Asmodeus, dressed extravagantly with a pair of small, dim red horns on his head, perfectly matched some novel descriptions of male protagonists: tightly bronzed skin, a cold face chiseled like an axe and knife, spirited sword-shaped brows slanting into the temples, and pupils flashing with hellish blood.

At first glance, the flash of lightning and roar of thunder... indeed like a thunder strike, at least the transforming double-headed baboon was now smashed into a black baboon by the terrifying power of thunder.

The Lord of Devils floated above the double-headed baboon, the ruby scepter in his hand gleaming: ”I, Asmodeus, the eternal Lord of Hell! The proud Lord of Devils!

Tremble! Any who dare oppose me!

Pain! Torture! Despair! Destruction!”

His voice was evil and terrifying, filling all of Toril... if not for Edna’s ascension to the Stellar Realm with the comforting blue-white radiance enveloping the world, this single sentence could have caused numerous mortals to fall.

What truly shocked the observers on the Floating Castle was that he could indeed use the Weave to transmit his voice across the entire world!

Everyone understood the implications.

”AO even agreed to him becoming a deity of Toril! What is he aiming for?” Celene murmured.

The ruby scepter in Asmodeus’s hand shone with a dreadful light.

The Dimensional Space seemed to connect with Hell again, slightly trembling under the light.

Shaer couldn’t help but lean forward slightly... if the Lord of Hell truly became Toril’s evil deity, it would have a significant impact on her.

The Lady of the Night, although inherently confident, was always aware of the limits of her power.

And the Lord of Hell, was a force capable of being compared to AO!

Now controlled, because his true form was always resting in the depths of Hell and had never truly appeared... Despite this Great Devil incarnation being powerful, it is said to only account for one percent of his true form.

Yet he can easily trample on Dimogogan’s incarnation... The double-headed baboon would rather lay there waiting for death than summon his true form.

Wait...

Hill widened his eyes: ”Dimogogan... self-destructed?”

”If he truly lets Asmodeus trample his head and become a deity, then returning to the Bottomless Abyss would likely bring trouble,” Shaer said softly, ”exploding so slowly, all because his two heads have difficulty reaching a consensus.”

Asmodeus did not care about the double-headed baboon’s self-destruction, merely waved his hand, and the dark red gemstone ring on his hand flashed briefly, blocking that dreadful dark power outside.

Though this Lord of Hell was inherently powerful, being able to easily... devour Safras’s acquired Holy Power, seemed highly effective in healing the enormous wound on his body.

”Does the prophecy relate to order?” Hill murmured.

”It’s the Tablets of Fate.” Lansendel knew what he truly wanted to express, yet appeared indifferent, ”Destiny, that thing, cannot weave stories without sufficient order power.

And the wound on Asmodeus caused by the most powerful Artifact of Order can naturally be mended somewhat.

Moreover, Safras is a Lesser God of the Weave.

Also a net.

Thinking about it, the only benefit of this matter is... despite Asmodeus’s evil, he cannot lead Hell into the embrace of the Bottomless Abyss.

This is what the deities of order on the Heavenly Mountain genuinely worried about.

Don’t be fooled by the fierce bloodshed between the Bottomless Abyss and Hell; there has always been a bit of tacit understanding between them.

If Hell also became part of Chaos, the Heavenly Mountain might not withstand.”

Hill could only nod in agreement... But why would AO meddle in this affair?

AO, as legend has it, might have indeed been one of the deities of order on the Heavenly Mountain... and even had considerable connections with Asmodeus, who retreated to Hell wounded.

Hill looked up towards the Stellar Realm, yet asked aloud: ”Then, is the Path of Destiny truly over this time?”

However, an extraordinarily evil roar suddenly roared from the grand spectacle.

Hill couldn’t help but clutch his head.
