Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1415: Chapter 1205: The Little Fairy’s Grudges and Feuds

Hill stood to the side watching the battle, as the current situation didn’t require his intervention.

He only found out later that the Little Fairies always claimed their queen had Great Divine Power, which must stem from Titania’s own conviction; she truly believed herself to possess Great Divine Power.

But when Shaer mentioned this Little Fairy Queen, he directly referred to her as having Intermediate Divine Power.

The proud Goddess of the Night actually regarded Shantia as the baseline for Great Divine Power... However, given Titania’s current display of strength, even if doubled, she would still be slapped to death by Shantia.

Yet that Shantia didn’t even dare face off against Rose, who was said to have Intermediate Divine Power, nor against the Chromatic Dragon Queen, who held Lower Rank Divine Power.

Someone like Titania... claiming to have Great Divine Power and yet not getting killed, is probably just because other truly powerful deities can’t be bothered to fuss over such creatures as Little Fairies.

After all, nobody really desires to snatch away followers like Little Fairies.

Otherwise, this so-called ’great deity’ who needs the help of Erwin Irashiel, the God of Mischief with Intermediate Divine Power from the Elf Deity System, just to elevate her Divine Kingdom into the starry sky, really wouldn’t have any reason to exist.

Hill gently sat upon a tall cedar tree, gazing at the small battlefield between the treetops and the open space... In reality, Oberon, who was inherently stronger, wasn’t much different from Titania.

If Titania once relied on the Dragon Throne to suppress the Lord of Beasts, now, whether it’s the pressure or the Divine Power pouring out, Oberon didn’t even raise an eyebrow.

He sat on the White Dragon not for Titania to hold back, but because... the animals he usually liked couldn’t move freely at this level of battle.

Although Oberon leaned more towards being a Druid and a Bard, he was the best swordsman among the Druids!

The best healer among the Bards!

The hunting longbow was controlled perfectly, and his White Dragon friend was completely in sync with him, moving agilely, reacting swiftly, so much so that the Demon Fire thrown from Titania’s little Magic Wand never even brushed Oberon, let alone the so-called Binding Magic... Those clawing vines seemed merely to be setting the rhythm for this frenzied brawling couple.

The furious Titania didn’t realize that even with her frantic urging, these vine creatures dared not approach within a meter of the White Dragon.

The dark red anklet on the White Dragon’s foot was silent, but extremely present in the vines’ senses.

Titania probably realized the slowness of her single-target spellcasting... In fact, she was casting quite quickly, but it was silly to think the large White Dragon would be slow.

The Little Fairy Queen, although relying on short arms to swing quickly... but trying to compete with the White Dragon, who grew up competing with siblings for food? With her arms swinging thrice in a second, to a White Dragon that could finish eating in a second, it was like slow motion.

So after hesitating for a few seconds, she finally went all out... the Ice Dragon Throne began spewing endless frost.

Hill covered his forehead, too stunned to watch.

That was the Fury of the Ice, a Ninth Ring Spell, certainly one of the strongest among Ice Spells.

But where did she get the confidence that the frost could freeze the flight speed of a White Dragon that could nap in ten-thousand-year-old ice mountains?

Even using the Eighth Ring’s Ice Blade Domain to rain knives from the sky would be stronger than this spell.

The prerequisite of turning Oberon into an ice block to take away is making him leave the White Dragon!

Oberon, with his small stature, could even hide under the back-bending spiked head crest of the White Dragon.

But... not completely useless, at least Oberon’s hunting longbow was frozen.

But he soon pulled two glistening ice crystal longbows from the green pouch at his waist... As a Little Fairy fond of hunting, no matter how well he did, Oberon’s hunting tools were comprehensive, adaptable to any environment.

Sitting on the cedar, Hill watched the Little White Dragons go berserk, madly chasing those flying little fairy nobles because of Titania’s big play... Some smaller dragons with slightly nastier personalities were even batting these little fairies around like aerial footballs.

After all, although Oberon wasn’t quite frozen, these little ones who stayed in the comfortably temperate Divine Kingdom did get quite frozen.

Only a few quick ones flew far away, peeking from behind big trees to observe the battle situation... Because their noble status was preserved thanks to Titania’s favoritism, they dared not flee outright, nor did they want to go in and deliver themselves to death.

Titania wasn’t inexperienced in battle, no, she wasn’t truly stupid, and of course quickly discovered her mistake.

Then she realized why Agleya had those White Dragons come to help Oberon.

It wasn’t just, as she thought, to force allies willing to help capture her to retreat; it also revealed... her inherited Ice Dragon Throne from the Ice Queen couldn’t harm those White Dragons at all.

She blankly glanced at the unfortunate subordinates turned into ice spheres, letting out a desperate wail... It seemed like the Neverwinter Forest burst into flames.

Enraged, Titania this time used her own power... Illusion Technique.

Sitting atop the great spruce, Hill shifted his posture casually... He heard from Oberon’s tone that he also absorbed quite a bit of Shaer’s Shadow Force.

The sun and the moon, light and shadow, all absorbed by Oberon. How could he fall for an illusion even Hill couldn’t be fooled by?

Instead, it was the Little White Dragons startled, crazily darting into the sky... They really didn’t like fire.

However, Hill felt they weren’t particularly afraid; otherwise, several little dragons wouldn’t have had the time to kick the ice balls beneath their feet towards the sun.

Hill instantly realized that this aerial ball game was something the little white dragons usually enjoyed playing, likely taught to them by the Undead Tribe.

The teams were divided very naturally, evidently long-term partners: groups of three, clusters of five.

Haven’t seen an eleven-member squad; perhaps... white dragons prefer fighting, so they don’t adapt to activities with so many teammates.

Or maybe, it’s just... ah, Hill didn’t want to recall anymore, nor would he ask the Undead Tribe about this sorrowful question.

He tried to reign in his overly scattered thoughts due to boredom and focused his attention on the couple starting to duel at the last moment—Oberon was shooting arrows, Titania was casting Arcane Missiles.

Hill blinked and couldn’t help but sigh: Feuding couples are terrifying!

Those eyes filled with mutual disgust!

Tsk~

Luckily, this pair’s destructive power wasn’t as horrifying as that of the elves’, not even affecting half of Neverwinter Forest.

Hill waved his hand to protect the plants below that were nearly frozen to death, then propped his chin up and watched the show idly.

Hmm? What’s that?

He suddenly jumped up and forcefully waved his right hand adorned with the Crystal Flower Ring: Dark red vines rose from beneath Oberon’s white dragon’s claw seat, directly crashing the two towards the distance.

A black Spell Orb of void construction rose from beneath Titania’s feet, directly colliding with this Little Fairy Queen.

The ice throne, condensed with divine power, was instantly dissolved halfway.

”Ah! Damn it!” Titania furiously detached from the throne and flew into the air, ”Oudanni! How dare you!”

A hoarse voice slowly sounded: ”Why wouldn’t I dare?

But you, having the nerve to come out of the Divine Kingdom!

It’s been so many years, like a mouse hiding in a hole not daring to come out, you thought I would let you off?

Ha~”

Oberon, seated on the white dragon, slowly flew upward, knowing full well that with the Void Dark Queen’s emergence, today’s fight had nothing to do with him anymore.

Though he also loathed the Void Dark Queen for slaughtering countless little fairies... if the queen hadn’t brought a horde of Sorrowful and Angry Fairies to play some massacre game and instead chose a one-on-one with Titania, Oberon didn’t see any need to intervene.

Regardless, after today, Titania probably wouldn’t have the ability to seek trouble with him anymore... half the divine power of the ice throne was obliterated by the Disintegration Spell inherent to the Destruction Sphere; even if she survives, she’d shed a layer of skin.

Anyway, the Little Fairy Queen still had a Vila naturally acknowledged, and the Fairy Court wouldn’t be destroyed.

Besides, the fairies just needed a queen to lead them, who the queen actually was didn’t matter.

Oberon thought for a moment, put away his longsword, and took out a few longbows, standing cautiously on the white dragon’s head and looking around.

It didn’t matter if Titania lost; he couldn’t let his court be invaded by Sorrowful and Angry Fairies.

Indeed, although the Void Dark Queen dared not bring numerous Sorrowful and Angry Fairies to invade, she wouldn’t spare any kind-aligned fairies.

Oberon’s hunting longbow suddenly shot out needle-thin arrows, directly killing those few trying to blend among the flowers and trees to hide.

”Oberon!” The Void Dark Queen with disheveled black hair, ragged dress, and eyes full of madness, floated mid-air and coldly warned.

”I don’t meddle with your affair with Titania...”

”Oberon! How heartless of you! I brought you into becoming the God of Fairies!” Titania’s plaintive voice interrupted him.

”The lifespan of little fairies is long enough, and as the longest-living among them, the Fairy Spirit, I hardly ever considered the issue of death.” Oberon suddenly turned to look at her, ”And had I not married you, I would still be the Lord of Fairies, just living joyfully day after day.

What I wanted, I told you from the start: a beautiful, loyal wife, a few lovely and kind children, making honey with my wife and daughter at dawn, hunting during the day, returning by moonlight at night.

You promised me!

That’s why I was willing to marry a princess potentially entangled in queen disputes!

But, Titania, tell me, what did I end up with?

All the children distanced themselves, the wife... ha~ Can you tell me where those inexplicable dukes and princesses in the Inner Court came from?”
