Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1406: Chapter 1195: Departure and Awakening

The gentle silver moonlight shimmered above the Floating Castle, and Hill felt as if his soul, hurt by the roar, was being healed.

He couldn’t help but lift his head and look at the ever-growing Silvermoon in the sky… Watching her, it seemed as if even his soul was being soothed.

Celene was using the Power of the Silvermoon to calm all the people of Toril… Here, they had been doubly struck because of the Giant Screen’s broadcast, while people in other parts of Toril only experienced a slight soul shock.

Of course, headaches were unavoidable, even though Celene fixed everyone’s soul with the Silvermoon, as mortals’ resistance is too weak; they might suffer for several days.

It’s even possible that someone who was already frail or on the edge of life might have been sent off directly by this sound.

“Abyssal Will!” As Celene was redeeming the masses, Shaer couldn’t help but stand up, causing the Giant Screen to tremble violently before it went dark.

“Eh… Is the cameraman gone?” Lansendel couldn’t help but speak.

“He’s still there, but he’s been affected,” Shaer quickly said, “I’ll step back a little.”

When the Giant Screen lit up again, they finally understood why the Bottomless Abyss suddenly went mad.

The Great Demon King had used the Deification Power to elevate Hell, directly severing all connections with the Bottomless Abyss and sending it into the Stellar Realm.

That was just Hell’s affair, but… Asmodeus somehow flung an endless continent from the Chaos Sea directly at the Bottomless Abyss.

He even laughed, repeatedly showing the image of the Bottomless Abyss being struck toward the Chaos Sea.

So, after controlling its home, the Abyssal Will directly started cursing.

Asmodeus was completely unfazed, just laughing maniacally: “The blood war is over!

Heh~

I indeed won’t let Hell become part of the Bottomless Abyss, but… I won’t spare that bunch of wastes on Heavenly Mountain!

AO, you won’t stop me, will you?

Even… for the camaraderie we shared in battles past.”

An old voice slowly resonated, “I never meddle, but don’t affect Toril.”

“Haha~” Asmodeus laughed heartily, disappearing into the night sky.

On another Giant Screen, the part of Hailte, pressing with its three heads at the sea bottom to suppress the link between the Chult Peninsula and the land, was finally freed.

Twelve heads emerged from the sea, baring teeth and claws.

Boundless darkness descended again upon Chult, and in silence, Hailte slowly doubled in size… Becoming the King of Chult at this moment.

“He’s not declaring?” Celene pointed at the giant screen, “Even though your subordinates never dare to speak loudly, is there no movement for becoming a Lesser God either?”

“Say what?” Shaer said coldly, “After the Devil King became deified, how many people would have heard no matter how loudly they spoke?

Nonetheless, Chult already acknowledged Hydra, and that’s enough.

The intelligent beings there all know that without Hydra’s protection, they would have been blown to bits long ago.

Heh~ Compared to Utao’s helplessness, only standing firm through constant surveillance, Hydra this time is genuinely the King of Chult, even recognized by a single blade of grass.”

“So, how did Asmodeus manage it?” Lansendel held his head in his wings, unable to fathom, “That’s the Bottomless Abyss, and it was easily crashed into the Chaos Sea?”

“So, why did the old man give him so much help?” Celene turned to him, “You don’t actually believe there was some bond between him and Asmodeus, do you?

Back then, among the Gods of Order watching Asmodeus fall into Hell, he must have been one of them.

But… Heh~ The Gods of Order created angels to stand against chaos and the Abyss, yet didn’t save their corrupted souls… and in the end watched the most beautiful angels turn into ugly devils.

Asmodeus, once the bravest and most beautiful angel!

He killed more Demons than any other angel, even more than any god.

Just because some Gods of Order were too lazy to fight themselves, they let their created angels become ugly and fallen, then… judged these past warriors simply out of fear.

Tsk~

Even that old man, who is so heartless and unjust, couldn’t bear it! Leaving Heavenly Mountain, he roamed the Universe as a Star Spirit.

Ah, no, I digress.

Though Asmodeus deceived those annoying Gods of Order into establishing the devils’ Hell when signing the contract that year, he still had to fulfill some basic requirements.

Like banishing the Bottomless Abyss to an even further place.

Chaos Sea… Though it doesn’t stop the Bottomless Abyss from invading other Universes, it’s enough to accomplish this task!

And in the contract, it was stipulated that the Gods of Order must stand on the devils’ side when opposing Demons.

Heh~

So, AO didn’t stop him from becoming deified on Toril, and when he kicked out the Abyss, the gods of Heavenly Mountain even had to lend him a hand.

As a result, after the Bottomless Abyss reached the Chaos Sea, although it could no longer enter Hell directly for the blood war, invading other universes became more convenient!

It just needed some time to adapt to the ever-changing exit of the Chaos Sea… But do demons care if the gate they exit each day leads to different worlds?

So the Bottomless Abyss merely gave a warning shout to Asmodeus to stop playing tricks… At that time, they reached an agreement: stop the blood war and continue their competition in the world of the living.

No wonder… even the strongest angels could do nothing about Heavenly Mountain!”

Celene suddenly laughed, “Order~ ha~ boring. The more you abide by it, the more foolish you become.”

Shaer glanced at her, “Only the kind of order that is selfish and unwilling to change.”

“But… this time, it’s truly over!” Lansendel said after pondering for a while, “As for what changes the Devils and Demons will have in the future, why worry about it now?

We can only wait and handle things as they come.”

He glanced at Shaer, saying calmly, “Before, Toril was so tormented by the demons, wasn’t it all due to the lack of numbers?

When the elves numbered in the billions, demons were not so arrogant.

In the future… the Undead Tribe should always be around, right?

Huh?

Shaer.”

Shaer turned back with an indifferent expression, “How should I know?”

“The always-dormant will of the Bottomless Abyss suddenly awoke due to this event.

Demons are sure to go through an active period… after all, at times like this, any kind of sacrificial offering, the Abyssal Will will respond in return.

AO must be worried that the Bottomless Abyss, fueled by the Lord of Hell’s intelligence, might seek revenge against Toril as well.

So for several hundred years, he definitely won’t sever the Star Gate between Teraxil and Toril~” Celene answered happily for her sister.

Then she gleefully added, “Shaer has always been very devoted, liking the same environments and styles for hundreds of thousands of years, unwilling to change.

To fall in love with someone else, it could probably last for tens of thousands of years~

So don’t worry about her falling in love with someone else causing the Undead Tribe to never visit Toril again.

As for that William… heh heh~

A man daring enough to declare love for Shaer, surely must hold some persistence.”

Lansendel waved his paw and said softly amidst an earth-shaking roar, “Something about your words seems a bit off?”

Hill could only helplessly slide into the pool slowly, hugging the Crystal Flower in contemplation: are these sisters planning to release the anger they’ve suppressed for so long, or… are they trying to trick him out of his jewelry box?

“Ah…” Lansendel suddenly raised his head, “Dawn is approaching.”

He let out a poignant and beautiful cry and flew up into the sky.

Rose-hued dawn appeared at the corner of the sky, a beautiful Golden Peacock circled Agleya twice, and fine golden light scattered all over the city.

The Sun Peacock finally vanished within the morning light.

The sisterly conflict that caused the Floating Castle to tremble endlessly also reached its end… The long black veil on the chaise transformed into a black silk cleverly tied on the gold-threaded butterfly-hanging tree, resembling a beautiful large black swallowtail butterfly.

And that silver moon chaise lay deftly hung on a corner of the rooftop garden’s pavilion, turning into a string of crescent moon wind chimes.

Hill stood silently from the pool, picked up the dropped Chaos gemstone, and sighed.

Then, he fished out his painstakingly crafted jewelry box and began distributing the spoils… expertly making him feel sorry for himself.

Everything seemed to return to before anything had happened.

However, the cat statue in the other pool told him that although the time was short, a lot had happened.

“Is it really all over?” a small voice whispered in his ear, “Will those two not return?”

Hill paused for a moment and couldn’t help but say, “Ah!” “Oberon! You woke up?”

“What kind of person can still sleep soundly after those two fought so much?” The exceptionally handsome Lord of Beasts pulled his small head out from the vine behind him, wearing a cloak of green leaves sewn on brown leather, “Especially later on, there was also a Great Peacock.

When the three of them fought, I thought I might have to accompany you to see Kranvo!”

Hill laughed helplessly, “Sorry, these are guests I couldn’t refuse. Are you… okay?”

“I’m great! Better than ever.” Oberon walked out slowly and landed lightly on Hill’s stone table, “Little fairies live on all sorts of positive energy.

Although to avoid trouble, we could only place the absorption of such energy on the admiration of art, but… the power of the Kind Alignment can still help us grow strong.

Lansendel and Celene… their power remains pure.

We just have to be careful not to absorb too much Shadow Force.”
