Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1396: Chapter 725: Venice International Film Festival

”Zhou Yun actually managed to make the Venice International Film Festival officials change their minds; her capabilities are just too strong now.”

During a meeting of Yuehai Network’s top executives, everyone was discussing the matter.

Mainly because for those of them involved in the film industry, this was extraordinarily shocking.

The Chinese Film Industry is a tight-knit circle, and few people can step out of it, make an international name, and even fewer have the authority and capabilities on this basis.

To be precise, this is the first time Zhou Yun directly demonstrated her international standing to these domestic folks.

Previously, her status was mostly media hype and public praise, but there hadn’t been any external recognition. Winning awards or attending events only meant they accepted you to participate, not that you wielded power.

If Zhou Yun heard the domestic discussions about her, she would find it both amusing and ridiculous.

If she could respond to this matter, she would definitely explain seriously that it didn’t have anything to do with power.

Before sending the email to Clint, she had no idea whether Clint would read it, and even if he did, she was unsure how he would react.

Regarding Clint’s final decision, Zhou Yun was also pleasantly surprised.

However, often things just happen this way, by mistake, leading to others misunderstanding.

Zhou Yun finished styling, took a set of photos, then prepared to meet everyone for the red carpet.

This time, because many Chinese celebrities were attending the festival, over a dozen Chinese media outlets showed up.

Each sent their best writers and reporters, pulling out all stops for exclusive interviews, trying to report the most unique stories.

In the end, Zhou Yun only accepted interviews from three outlets.

She genuinely didn’t have time.

When everyone met up, He Xuran was the first to thank Zhou Yun.

”Thank you, Xiao Yun, if it weren’t for your help, we wouldn’t have been able to attend this time.”

”Don’t be so polite, I only tried to help.” Zhou Yun said.

He Xuran shook his head and said, ”The fact that you tried to help us is already a big deal.”

Although Zhou Yun didn’t do this for He Xuran’s gratitude, hearing him thank her warmly touched Zhou Yun’s heart.

They waited at the red carpet entrance for about ten minutes, finally awaiting their team’s time to showcase.

The entire team, led by Yao Yuanfeng, entered the red carpet in grand fashion with eight people.

”Zhou Yun!”

”Zhou Yun, look here!”

”Zhou Yun, turn around!”

...

As soon as they appeared, photographers on both sides began shouting Zhou Yun’s name; both Chinese and foreign media all aimed their cameras at her.

Zhou Yun saw many familiar faces.

She waved at them with a bright smile.

”Zhou Yun, over here!”

Whenever she looked in one direction for more than two seconds, photographers from the opposite side would start shouting.

The entire red carpet of photographers focused on Zhou Yun.

Suddenly, the film festival official responsible for red carpet management approached, gesturing a position to Zhou Yun, ”Please come here.”

Zhou Yun nodded and walked over.

However, by doing so, she left the group.

At this moment, Yin Linglin suddenly approached, smiling affectionately at Zhou Yun and linking arms with her.

Zhou Yun was astonished, looking at her in surprise.

The photographers managed to get shots of Zhou Yun alone on the red carpet, and suddenly this woman appeared. Domestic photographers recognized Yin Linglin and continued shooting, while some international photographers asked Yin Linglin to step aside as they wanted solo shots of Zhou Yun.

But Yin Linglin appeared oblivious, seemingly not hearing anything, maintaining her smile and with one hand linked with Zhou Yun’s arm, waved at photographers with the other hand.

The guide came over again and said to Yin Linglin, ”Hello, please come here.”

He directed her to another fixed point for photos.

But Yin Linglin acted as if she didn’t understand English, giving a confused expression to the guide as if she couldn’t comprehend.

Zhou Yun: ”...”

She glanced at Yin Linglin, withdrew her hand from Yin Linglin’s grip, turned around, looked back at where she had walked past, stepped back, and confidently allowed them all to snap her solo shots.
